Do You Need Help

From: Norman and Lisa Martin normlisa15@yahoo.com

Hi,

Was wondering if you could help me and my family. My husband, Norman, and I have decided that I should be a stay at home Mom to run our household. We have 3 kids and there is lots of things to keep me busy, but it doesn't pay well. I quit my job and he is still working but if we could do some side jobs it would help us make ends meet and help get our family on "track"... with the Lord's will for our family.
My husband is a mechanic for the City of Independence and I have done "home-maker" (cleaning, errands yard work, etc) work in a group home and in the homes the elderly working for an agency. I would prefer doing things that I schedule so that I can be available to my family as much as possible. I could even babysit in my home with my 14 year-olds help. We have one mowing job in Independence already on Saturdays but it would be good to have more jobs in Indepencdence to justify the drive to town.
Feel free to call me at 816-625-1003 at home or my cell at 816-500-2151.

Thanks.

Do you need work done...??

We can do it for less!!

Mowing
Yard cleaning
Odd jobs

Pray for Joshua

Dear Saints,

Please pray for my son Joshua. He's having this terrible pain in his middle left abdomen and the doctors say he may have some pancreatic inflammation going on. On and off now for over a year Josh has been dealing with this pain and please pray that he'll be physically healed from this once and for all. Please pray for me also, as it is very hard for me to see Joshua having to suffer with this again.

Thanks so much and God bless,

LaVonne (Hagensen) Loumiet,
Living Hope Restoration Branch.

Widow needs help

Hi Saints,
The Lord put it upon my heart this morning to send out an SOS for help. My dear friend is 54 years old and her husband died of cancer 1 1/2 years ago. He tried to provide for her, but the funds were very small and have ran out. She has guardianship of her 4 year old grandson with hardly any extra financial help.

I am reminded of what Jesus defined as 'pure religion' was and among the description he said "to visit the widow in their affliction'. In addition to her emotional affliction, she is suffering from lack of physical help in maintaining her home and has great financial need. She does have a steady job, but it is a real struggle to maintain the monthly financial burden that she bears.
She needs help in these 4 areas:

1. She has enrolled her grandson at CPRS, in faith, not knowing where the funds will come from but wants him to be in that Christian environment. (This has already been taken care of)

2. Needs physical help such as: painting the outside of her home, fixing the water leak on her roof which has caused inside damage, yard work and has water damage to her basement resulting in a terrible moldy environment.
3. Extra financial support to ease her burden

4. A job that will pay more than what she is currently making.

My friend has no idea that I am sending this out and asking help from strangers, but I believe it is worth the try. She is not on Garland's email list so anyone who has figured out who she is, please keep this private.

Please pray and if the Lord puts it upon your heart to help - contact me at: 1clark6@att.net
Sincerely,
Lisa Clark

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I received a phone call from a woman who had read my previous email concerning my dear friend. She made a wonderful suggestion that I contact a pastor and have people donate funds through a church and then the church pass the funds onto her.

I made some phone calls to my congregation and its official - Living Hope will gladly accept money to distribute to my widow friend. Make any checks out to Living Hope and in the memo write her name: Kim Nickerson and they will forward the money to her. A tax exemption will be given back to the giver.

You can mail a check to:

Living Hope
2425 S Crysler Ave
Independence MO 64052

She has enough money to pay for one more 'full' month's living expenses and after that she doesn't know what is going to happen but she is trusting God to provide.

Praise report: After I posted my previous SOS email this afternoon, I had someone call me up and pay her grandson's entire tuition at CPRS for the coming school year. I was so excited and when Kim got home from work around 5:30pm, I called her up with the news. She just sobbed and sobbed and it was the most incredible feeling & joy to witness the hand of God blessing her. She wants to express her gratitude to the giver but I have kept the name silent - so Kim thanks you with all of her heart......................

God is so great!!! He answers prayer and this is a good day.

Thank you for all who can give money or give of your service or offer prayer to God on her behalf.

Sincerely,
Lisa Clark

P.S. She still has no idea of what is going on. Shhhhh
