Prayer Request Correction

The Tandy's called today and said there had been a miscommunication.
It was Eduardo's father who was ill with pneumonia, not Dalia's father.
Eduardo's father had been in frail health for quite a while and we received news that he passed away.
We would ask for prayers for Eduardo Padilla and his family.

Sincerely,

Ad for House

Hello! My name is April and I am a member of the Restoration Branches in Independence, Missouri. I currently live in Colorado and am trying to move back to Independence and have been for quite some time. I was looking for an owner financed house which I could purchase from someone either on a flat out payment schedule (mortgage) or a lease/purchase arrangement. Due to my current credit situation it is impossible for me to get a loan through conventional methods although I do have a good rental history and pay my bills on time. (I have a copy of my current credit report and also can provide references.) As such, I have found a house in Independence which is currently on the HUD list for $10K. I was wanting to put down $1200 and then purchase the house from someone. This house has to be bid on and in addition a “proof of finance” which has to be provided to prove one can actually pay for the house if they get the bid. Anyway, I really wanted to try and find something very inexpensive so I can make the payments and fix it up. I prefer Independence as that is Zion. I can be reached either by my email which is aprilajune@gmail.com or 303-888-5583

Thank you and I look forward to your response.

December January Australian Restoration News

Seasons Greetings,

with the hope that each and every one of you will be renewed in spirit as we celebrate the birth of our Lord, and with a positive outlook, face the challenges that a New year will bring.

Your brother in Christ,

AUSTRALIAN RESTORATION NEWS

Around and About the Centre Place by High Priest Paul Gage Independence, MO

We sing the hymn, "Wonderful Words of Life." As we prepare to enter the month of December, observing

the Birth of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, and thus end another year and embark upon another, let us recall some

of those wonderful words of life.

Genesis 1:33 "And I God saw everything that I had made and behold all things which I had made were

very good." God is the one and only Creator of all that has been created.

Genesis 2:30 "Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife; and they

shall be one flesh." God's plan and pattern for man.

Genesis 7:40 "And in the garden of Eden gave I unto man his agency...that they should choose me their

Father." May we respond to the gift of agency and truly choose God as our Father.

Isaiah 9:6 "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given...and His Name shall be called, Wonderful,

Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." What a marvelous promise and

gift from God, to each of us.

Matthew 2:4 & 6, "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name, JESUS; for he shall save

his people from their sins...and they shall call his name, EMMANUEL , which, being interpreted, is

GOD WITH US."

Luke 2:11 "For unto you is born this day, in the city of David, a Savior, who is Christ, the Lord."

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave His Only Begotten Son." What greater gift could God

have given us?

John 20:31 "But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that

believing ye might have life through his name." Jesus said, "...I am the life.."

Third Nephi 5:11-17. This is too lengthy to print here, but please take time to read it.

Doctrine and Covenants 76:3g "And now, after the many testimonies which have been given of him, this

is the testimony, last of all, which we give of him, that HE LIVES; for we saw him, even on the right hand

of God.

Jesus told us, in his temptations, that we shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth

out of the mouth of God. This was a reference to the needs of the body and the spirit. We must live,

spiritually, by those wonderful words of life, and God will then sustain the physical body. The spirit and the

body is the soul of man. DC 85:4.

May each of you have a joyous and spiritual feasting year in 2016. Merry Christmas and Happy New

Year. The Lord be with each of you and bless you every day.

A CHRISTMAS MESSAGE. submitted by Sr.Jillian Maas, Brisbane.

Dear Reader, It is with great joy that at this time of year the world celebrates the LIFE of JESUS our

LORD and SAVIOUR. We rejoice that Jesus Christ our Lord came so that we could have peace and have

the perfect opportunity to dwell with Him in all eternity. John 10:10/John 16:33/ 3 Nephi 4:51

Unfortunately, too many people will only become aware of the importance of His life and sacrifice after

their own has come to an end here upon the earth.

That is why He encourages us to go to church, to fellowship with each other, to study His Word and get to

know Him, the reason for why He came, His PROMISES (Titus 1:2/Mosiah 1:72) that are offered to each of

us, the exemplary life He led, and the ultimate sacrifice He made for each and EVERY individual. 3 Nephi

8:53/Alma 12:4/Acts 17:11. Because in knowing these things, our lives become blessed, and we find

strength to overcome what the world throws at us.

If we haven’t already, then it’s time that we work on building a personal relationship with our Heavenly

Father. Too often our only communion with God is when we are desperate and cry out for help, and do not

realise that He has so much to tell us, if we chose to commune with Him more. This Christmas, STOP.

Think on His AWESOMENESS, His MAGNIFICENCE, His MAJESTY, and His UNFAILING LOVE for

each of

****************

us. Think on His promises. What He has done, and does for US is more than we allow ourselves to

comprehend. Isaiah 9:6/Mosiah 1:102-103

This Christmas Season, take the time to renew, or start, a personal relationship with the one and only

TRUE GOD who lives. And acknowledge the GIFT of redemption that He has given us, so that we too

might live a full, abundant and peaceful life, here and thereafter.

May God help each and every one, as we take some ‘time out’, and comprehend His love and gift to us.

HAPPY & SAFE CHRISTMAS. Jillian Maas

For God so loved the world, that he gave his Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should

not perish; but have everlasting life. . . he who loveth truth, cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made

manifest. And he who obeyeth the truth, the works which he doeth they are of God. John 3:16,21&22

Victoria News Report from Kelvin View Branch submitted by Elder Murray Broughton

Preaching Services have been held each Sunday over the past month with the speakers being Elders Geoff

Grayden and Murray Broughton, with a wide and challenging range of topics. The Communion Service on

1st November was presented by Elder Murray Broughton based on the theme: “We ought to obey God rather

than men”.

Sr.Delma and I travelled to Cobram,Victoria.to see Bro.Dirk Waasdorp and found him better in himself,

but, still not really well. Sr.Loris Broughton spent a short stay in Benalla Hospital. Please remember these in

your prayers. Sr.Delma's mother has improved a little in her health. Thank you for your prayers. We must

pray for the needs of people here and in other countries

I thank the Brisbane congregation for their financial support for the needs of people in the Philippines,

especially in Luzon areas where the flood and typhoon hit hard in our town of Agno and other nearby towns.

The amount given was a huge help and was entrusted to Bro Ernie and Sr Ludy to buy bags of rice and

divide into 10 kilos for each family. Fifty six homes received rice and food from you. These families are

very appreciative. Thanks also go to Bro.Bob and Sr Bev Wilkinson who are sending gifts for the Sunday

School children and when the parcel arrives, there will be some excited and happy children. I thank also a

Bro.& Sr who gave an anonomous personal donation to help those people in need. MAY GOD BLESS US

ALL.

(Elder Murray & Sr.Delma Broughton will be flying out of Australia on Wednesday 23rd December to visit

and minister in the Philippines. They will be there for 4 weeks. Please pray for them and for the people that

they will be assisting. Editor)

News From The Hummel Family South Australia - God Is Good! His Timing Is Perfect!

From the heartache and break in our family we felt very much as if the 'end is near' with so much

corruption and the many bad things happening around, and to us. My husband’s decision to leave us has

been very difficult for everyone to bear.

One of my Sons best described it as "feeling like we had been thrown to the ground while others kicked

us". I felt as though the very life was being sucked out of me and I couldn't seem to catch my breath. But,

you beautiful people were there, offering a type of CPR First Aid to us. For every breath that I struggled to

take someone was doing the work for us. Through our friends and family we eventually came to see that

God is in control. He is good and his timing is perfect!

As needs arise they have been taken care of and it has been wonderful to feel so loved by those who have,

and continue to support us.

We will move to a new home in just over a week and are all looking forward to the move. In the

meantime, I now have paid employment that will allow me to be home with the boys before and after school

and on weekends. I have also been accepted into university and will study full time (online in the evenings -

No, I don't need to sleep)), while working over the next few years in order to obtain a management position

within Aged Care. This is work that I love and it will allow me to financially support my children.

In such a short time our lives have completely changed. Despite the circumstances of the change, we can

see that God is there for us and we will trust in him.

Thank you to everyone for their support. Please continue to pray for us. We will stay in touch and look

forward to seeing you all again at Reunion.

Tamworth News submitted by Sr.Bev Wilkinson

Greetings from Tamworth Branch and a Happy, Holy Christmas to all.

On Sunday 25th October Elder Peter and Sr. Helen presented the family Worship. Peter welcomed us in

the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus and gave the Invocation and Helen read “We are called to

Serve” by Manuel Casstillio.

Our class, “Translations of Joseph Smith 6th Angel” by Adolph Lundeen is an educational and interesting

study. In the Worship Service Peter said “we look to Jesus for guidance in our lives through Prayer and

Fasting, and our mission is to build Zionic lifestyles in our homes and with our families” God is Holy from

Eternity tm and gracious unto those who fear me and delight to honour those who serve me in righteousness

and truth unto the end. D&C sec 76–2a. Elder Peter added “Let us keep our hearts and hands pure for no

unclean thing can come into the Lord’s presence”.

Elder Peter and Sr. Helen opened the service on Sunday 1st November, with Hymn 388 “Never be

discouraged” and Helen read “God will Hasten the City’ by Pat Chadwick. In the Sacrament Service Peter

asked “Who can turn to in this world if we have no belief in our Heavenly Father? God has created the

universe and we all fail short of the glory of God. The Ordinance of the Sacrament. is to bring us back into

his presence with repentance and humility” Elder Peter spoke on the duty of the Pastors “Woe be unto the

pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture saith the Lord.” Jeremiah 23: 1 'The pastors are to

have knowledge, righteousness and understanding” Jesus said “If you love me, feed my Lambs, feed my

sheep” and the second time “feed my sheep” John 21:15-17 Elder Peter served the Sacrament.

Bob and I travelled to Sydney and spent a week visiting with family and friends.

Elder Peter and Helen presented the family worship on Sunday the 15th November, Peter welcomed us

and gave the Invocation and Helen read “My people will I preserve” by Apostle Arthur Oakman.

In his Sermon Elder Peter said “our Lord came to minister, not to be ministered to. He came to call sinners

unto repentance. Jesus did many miracles and miracles have not ceased today, except by unbelief. Every day

of our lives is a miracle. Our God has provided everything for our needs. The ministers are to give spiritual

uplifting guidance to the members. The ministers are to labour with their own hands for their upkeep. The

ministers are to preach, teach and exhort.” Peter said “our beloved faithful Elder Geoff Grayden

admonished me and quoted: “If the pastors go wrong, it does not mean that the Church of Jesus Christ is

wrong. Trust in God in all things and take heed unto the Doctrine.”

Members met together on Wednesday 18th November for Prayer, remembering those of us who are in

need of Prayer.

16101 Salisbury Road
Independence, MO 64050

THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE FOR THE MEAL BUT THERE WILL BE A FREE WILL OFFERING OPPORTUNITY.

ALL donations will be sent to the Glenn Beck Nazarene Fund to assist Christians in immediate need. Churches and people just like us across the nation have been doing projects such as this and so far $12 million dollars have been raised by other Christians! It takes about $20,000 for a family of 4 to be vetted, obtain legal passports and documents, transportation, permission from another country to relocate, help them learn a new culture, provide 9 months of English language classes, find jobs, and provide temporary housing. The idea is to be sure finding new homes does not burden their new countries and to help them be productive contributors within their new cultures.

Prayers for Suzi Answered

It is with great joy that I share an update on my friend and sister in Christ, Suzi Whiting. Elder Larry Garner of Arkansas went to visit her this morning. Although heavily sedated, Suzi was able to tell Brother Garner that she was a member of the church and requested administration. I relayed this message to Suzi's mother who is in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, recovering from a fall last week in which she broke her femur. Of course her mother and I are both so thankful that our prayers on Suzi's behalf were so quickly responded to and also to learn that the hemorrhaging has stopped. Please remember both Suzi and her mother, Gloria as they recover.

Fran Manning

Endowment

---------- Forwarded message ----------
From: Julie Caldwell
motherintheshoe6@gmail.com

Endowment

Please prayerfully consider how each one of us can apply these words to our lives.

"When shall the day of marvelous Spiritual Endowment be?
As you both now and in the future ponder considering the Endowment, first of all let there ever be before you these special promises of deeply spiritual, prophetic-minded men, whose eyes your Eternal Father has opened that they might see the deep things of the Spirit, such as these: Obedience to His law shall cause Him to open the windows of Heaven and pour you out such a blessing as you cannot contain; or, eye hath not seen, ear hath not heard that which the Father hath prepared for those who love Him, except those to whom He hath shown it; or, the Melchisedec priesthood have the privilege, if they will seek in great faith, of receiving the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven - to have the heavens opened unto them - to commune with the spiritual giant of the past, the great assembly of the noble-hearted, who are special agents whom God send to those of mighty faith - even to have communion with Him whose glory is intelligence and with Jesus Christ, the altogether lovely Son of God.

Ye men of God, in the light of these great promises, and of many others equally great written in the record of the Everlasting Father's association with men, how can you do otherwise than reach out and up to that which God would do for you, for He would share marvelous things with you!

When shall these things be? They shall be when and as those who minister for Him cease placing much too great faith in the wisdom of the world; and when they shall learn that the arm of flesh cannot bring to pass the high purposes of the Lord. When this ceasing and this learning comes, then shall be fulfilled the word of the prophet that those who are weak and humble in the sight of this world shall thresh the nations by the power of God's Spirit.

It shall come when the servants of the Lord appreciate the possible glories of His friendship, when there shall come to them a vision of the very extraordinary works and miracles that shall grace the work and life of those whom God has endowed. Are there not almost unnumbered testimonies in the scriptures that help to build up and disclose this vision? And who among you have, thru fasting and prayer, or thru inspired meditation and study, or thru the many gifts of the Spirit, or thru the loving Father's response to your deep concern - who among you have plumbed the depths of the Lord's great wells of living water and have had God show you even part of what He would do thru you/ There are pleasing, comforting and even inspiring rewards that come to those who have noble people as their friends. But what tongue can tell or what intellect can even imagine the boundless rewards that are for those whose great friend is God and whose loving friend and elder brother is Jesus Christ? The Everlasting Father invites you and urges you toward this their friendship. He is deeply concerned, He is exceedingly anxious that the time of endowment should soon come, for He knows that increasingly great waves of perplexity, of disturbance and of trouble shall break upon the shores of time. All that the prophets of old have seen concerning the last days are nearing fulfillment. There is commotion everywhere. People of the world are breaking away from even the poor standards they have hitherto had. Great clouds of deception are increasingly befogging the minds of men. Satan rages in his age-old struggle against the Son of God. He would take away and completely submerge all that is good, and hundreds of millions of people are his collaborators. Wars of a most terrible sort are at your door. Surely men's hearts are failing them for fear of what they plainly see is coming on the earth. The heart of Him whose finest name is Love is deeply distressed that His ministry and people all too generally do not see these things, and that they make so little effort to ascend the mountains of exaltation so that Jesus the Son of God might speak to them face to face, and that He might send forth a strong army, though few in number but mighty in spiritual power, to fight with the everlasting word of God all the wicked forces which seek to engulf the world. If ever the great Father cried to His people to come out of that Babylon which shall perish, it is now. Endowment could come to the church surely with ten years, and even less, if God's people will make themselves aware of the world's great need, if they will become aware of the church's desperate need for mighty spiritual power, and if they will go up to the mountain of the Lord's House! Will you stop your ears and let the cry of despair arising from tens of thousands of men and women lost in the wilderness of sin, commotion and of fear - will you let these cries be in vain? When shall these things be? Hear ye, all those to whom this prophetic insight shall come. God will not always strive with man. Neither will He always strive with a stiff-necked, worldly, faltering people! Surely the word of the prophets is utterly plain - if God's people will not come out of Babylon and her confusion and her evils, they too must perish. Is it not written that the bosom of God's wrath shall sweep through the nations of the earth at the last day? Is it not also written that this day of burning, of desolation, of weeping and lamentation that shall come upon the earth as a whirlwind, even as testified by Isaiah and by Jeremiah of old and by the Joseph whom you call the martyr, and that it shall begin at the house of the Lord, and from His house shall it go forth? Oh ye who handle the vessel's of the Lord, beware lest you come under strong condemnation in that so many of you neither prepare yourselves nor your people for those possibilities of God's endowment, will you choose to blunder along as a church insufficiently in touch with God, and that you perish because He cannot use you as His instruments of power, the bearers of His way of life and as the demonstrators of the fact that only His ways can save the world from destruction, and raise all who will truly believe to glorious and even miraculous accomplishments?
Within the limits, therefore, of you Heavenly Father's patience, and before those great tidal waves of judgment shall build up to vast destructive power, there is yet time for those who caught up by the vision of grand spiritual endowment to prepare themselves, to come out of Babylon and her evil ways, to purify their lives and purposes, to become increasingly spiritual, to become increasingly full of love for their brethren and sisters and for the coming generation of youth, and for the men and women of the world who walk in darkness, and especially that increasingly there shall be a profound love for the Eternal Father and all He stands for. Only such as prepare themselves can abide the day of divine endowment, which your Heavenly Father cannot permit to be very far away, for that day nears when the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to His temple, and to such of His ministry as have made themselves ready and are looking for Him and are anxious that He shall come to purify, to instruct, to organize, to guide, and to be a leader and commander, to send His servants forth to bind up the law and to seal up the testimony, and to give understanding and power to gloriously establish sacred communities of Zion."

Testimonies About Zion

Hello All !!

I am sending out a big email to anyone in my contact list that I thought might be interested in participating in this project. Riane Thomas and Holly Gamble would like to create a booklet of testimonies that have to do with the coming of Zion, preparation for the end/Zion, etc. I know a couple of you have more than one testimony and we would LOVE any that you are willing to share. Please pray about what you send.

God Bless !!

"For behold, this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God; yea behold. the day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors....I beseech of you, that ye do not procrastinate the day of your repentance." Alma 16:228-229

Old Bookman November Sale

A "Warm Reception" Sale!

To say "Thank You" for the warm reception I've received while taking over the Old Bookman, all available titles in inventory are 25% off for the rest of November!

I just want to say thank you to all of the wonderful new friends I've made out there since September 22, when Paul and Dee decided to pass on their Old Bookman legacy. I have to admit I was a little nervous about following in Paul's footsteps. He and Dee are a fount of knowledge when it comes to old RLDS/LDS books and materials. It helps knowing that they are right up the road if I need to ask them a question! And you! You have been extremely patient and helpful with my "newness".

I think the conversations and new or renewed relationships are one of the best parts of this endeavor. Paul and Dee had shared with me up front that this business was not a money maker, but that the riches would come in the conversations and relationships with people. At my first conference just this past October, I was re-acquainted with two of my father's old friends, two men to whom I really looked up as a child. Forty years later and I still can. Two weeks ago, I sat in the living room of a new friend in Independence and exchanged testimonies. Last week I had a long phone conversation with another new friend in Kansas City about some spiritual matters that were of interest to us. And then there's the long distance friends as well--Like my new phone/Facebook friend in Brewton, Alabama. Last night I came home and she had sent me an inspirational CD to listen to while I worked.

In December I'll be having surgery, and will have a long recuperation. My friend Sarah, and Paul and Dee, will be helping me during that time. I have some projects lined up that I can do in bed, like updating the inventory/price list for Old Bookman. Some of the prices will be lowered on some of the items (to stay current with online values), some will remain the same, and some, due to rarity and demand will go up. So please be patient with me as we go through that construction process in December. I would also ask for your prayers during that time, that the spiritual literature needs of the Saints would be met during that time, and I can carry out this work stronger than ever in the New Year.

Just a teaser about December's sale--We're going to be highlighting titles, some of them never before seen, that are of particular interest to women and their work. If you personally, or your women's group are wondering what to study in the New Year, you may see some titles here that stand out for you. We will also be deeply discounting hymnals and cookbooks. Early next year we will be emphasizing ALL WORK related to kingdom building and Zionic conditions. Be prayerful in your anticipation of this and see if any of these featured materials need to come your way.

Again, thank you to everyone.

Sharon
