Let us seek God

---------- Forwarded message ----------
From: Frankie Schuelke

Let us seek God

Darkness Covereth the Earth, and Gross Darkness the Minds of the People (D & C 105: 9, a)

Is this where we are today?

“And I beheld that the wrath of God was poured out upon the great and abominable church, inasmuch that there were wars and rumors of wars among all the nations and kindreds of the earth.
And there began to be wars and rumors of wars among all the nations which belonged to the mother of abominations, the angel spoke to me (Nephi) saying, “Behold the wrath of God is upon the mother of harlots; ECT. When the day cometh that the wrath of God is poured out upon the mother of harlots, which is the great and abominable church of all the earth, whose foundation is the devil, then at that day, the work of the Father shall commence, in preparing the way for the fulfilling of his covenants which he made to his people, who are of the house of Israel.”
An angel had been showing and telling Nephi many things, at this point Nephi was shown a man and was told,
“Behold one of the twelve apostles of the Lamb! Behold, he shall see and write the remainder of these things---He shall also write concerning the end of the world. They are written in the book which thou beheld proceeding out of the mouth of the Jew. And at the time they proceeded out of the mouth of the Jew, or at the time the book proceeded out of the mouth of the Jew, the things which were written were plain and pure, the most precious and easy to the understanding of all men.
I, Nephi heard and bear record that the name of the apostle of the Lamb was John, according to the angel.” (1 Nephi 3: 212-251 selected verses)
“For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people; but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the gentiles shall come to the light and kings to the brightness of thy rising.” (Isaiah 60: 2-3)
“The watchman shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing; for they shall see eye to eye, when the Lord shall again bring about Zion.” (Isaiah 52:8)
“and plagues shall go forth, and they shall not be taken from the earth until I have completed my work, which shall be cut short in righteousness; until all shall know me, who remain even from the least unto the greatest, and shall be filled with the knowledge of the Lord, and shall see eye to eye, and shall lift up their voice together sing this new song, saying:
“The Lord has brought again Zion ETC.” (D & C 83: 16 f, g 17: a)
When I read these verses in Section 83: and the verses in Isaiah 52: my eyes began to open and I realize God has one gospel, and one plan for His people. And because of the scripture in D & C 105: and Isaiah 60: I also realize gross darkness covers the minds of all people because we refuse to open our eyes and our minds, “We perish for like of Knowledge.”
“The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying, “Moreover son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel and his companions (the Israelites with Judah); and take another stick and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions” (the Israelites with Ephraim). (Ezekiel 37: 15-16 please continue to end of chapter).
“And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off; Ephraim shall not envy Judah and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.” ETC. (Isaiah 11: 12-13.)
Since people that are left after the plagues, will see eye to eye, I believe for us to make it through the plagues we, of Ephraim (the believers who are in RLDS are gathered with Ephraim and assigned to this work of building Zion in America, center place Independence, MO) yes, we must begin now to start learning and seeing eye to eye with the people of Judah and his companions. We must study the history of every nation that has dealt with the Jews and the Church from both Ecclesiastical and secular history.
I heard a teaching recently about the importance of the firstborn, God was answering Moses’ questions about the deliverance of the children of Israel out of Egypt. God told Moses things to say to Pharaoh and He also told Moses Pharaoh will not listen. God said "Pharaoh would harden his heart and not let His people go.
And thou shall say unto Pharaoh, “Thus sayeth the Lord, Israel is my son even my firstborn; And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me; and if thou refuse to let him go, behold I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn.” (Exodus 4: 22-23) The teacher emphasized that God was saying “Israel is my elect.” This prompted me to look up a familiar scripture:
(Jeremiah 31: The restoration of Israel---Rachel comforted---New Covenant)
“They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them; I will cause them to walk by rivers of water in a straight way wherein they shall not stumble; for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.” (Verse 9) We read further in the chapter verses 18-20 about Ephraim repenting and is accepted by God.
Is this our time to repent and seek God? May we learn now instead of in the prison house!!!

The Reflections of a Mother by Linda L Kerswell

The Reflections of a Mother

By Linda L Kerswell (9/05/2015)

Kingston Branch, Queensland, Australia.

When I was little my parents bought me a beautiful baby Doll,

I thought it was so special and loved to play the “Mummy Role”.

I fed her, I burped her and sang lullabies as I rocked her gently to sleep,

I tucked her into her cosy bed and on tip toes around I’d creep.

I’d go down and wash her dolly clothes just as my Mother would,

And hung them out on my little clothes line with as much love as I could.

My Mum would check each article and got rid of every stain,

I didn’t have to work that hard, Dolly wasn’t going to complain.

My Mum told me if I loved my dolls and cared for them each day,

That one day I might have a little girl and with Dolly she would play.

As the years rolled on I tried to keep that doll as perfect as I could

And I dreamed of getting married as on the altar I stood,

I dreamed of having a family and wondered, how many girls and boys?

And of doing the washing, teaching them and picking up all of their toys.

In my dreams it all went perfectly I couldn’t wait for my awesome life,

And in a flash I was all grown up and eventually I became a Wife.

You learn when you become an adult that there are so many necessary jobs,

That life isn’t all Sunshine and Roses, slowly your innocence it robs.

Still I waited with excitement for the day I’d become a Mother

Oh the Joy I felt when the Doctor announced, “You’re going to be a Mother”

Nothing compares to the Love that forms as your baby slowly grows inside,

From feeling a small wiggle, to a kick; it’s just incredible I must confide.

Then after the harrowing ordeal of birth eventually your baby is here,

And they lay your baby in your arms and that Baby makes the “harrowing” disappear.

From the moment you hold that baby, That Beautiful Bundle of Joy,

You instantly want only the best Life for this gorgeous girl or boy.

It seems it doesn’t matter just how old they become,

You are always their Mother and feelings of LOVE always overcome,

The trials of sleepless nights while your baby feeds at night,

Or the first time you lose sight of them, it gives you such a fright.

That tedious sibling rivalry, wanting you to take their side,

And hoping that you can help each to ‘see it from the Other’s Side’.

Handing out discipline, to teach that actions have a consequence

Whilst trying to instil good manners, a moral compass and a humble confidence.

All this while realising that each child is an individual, a person in their own right

Different Gifts, different flaws but each, to you, shines so uniquely Bright.

There is an endless list of trials that as a Mother you will face

But above all, the Truth about this Role is that is flies by at a speedy pace.

In Truth you mostly remember the ‘Good Times’ and thank God for them all

You remember the trials you’ve overcome; how you walked after learning to crawl.

You thank God for all those Loved Ones whose examples you chose to take,

And you slowly start to understand some of the decisions your Mum used to make.

Suddenly you see through ‘Her’ eyes and know the joy having you gave,

But you also know the tears she’s cried when you were rebellious and didn’t behave.

You know just how hard it was to let you go to let your independence expand,

And how she felt every scrape and hurt as you’ve walked the path that you’ve planned.

You suddenly know that she was always your most enthusiastic Fan

But above all you know she’s given her heart and soul, everything she can.

You want to let her know that you see what she’s lovingly done

And that you really hope that she understands the ‘Love and Respect’ that She has so deservingly Won.

Around and About the Centre Place by High Priest Paul J. Gage, Independence, MO.

Greetings to all the lovely and dedicated Saints, in the land "down under" whose faith is working to keep

the rest of the world, "upright." As one song says, "June is Busting Out, All Over," and so it is. The flowers

are blooming, trees are budding, bees are stinging, and poison ivy is crawling. Don't start itching yet. It's the

time of year for schools to be out for the summer, high school seniors to graduate and start the next phase of

their lives, many to make their covenant of marriage in June, and the reunion and camping season is on "full

steam ahead." We are nearing the half way point of the year which puts us only four months away from the

next "Blood Moon," whatever that may entail.

With the entire world shaking from earthquakes, burning from volcanoes and droughts, tornados

continually assaulting the middle parts of the USA,(a small one touchdown in Sibley, MO just outside

Independence this week), nations fighting against one another, all the "freakish and ungodly" things that

people are doing, and whatever else you want to add to the list, some are asking, "What is going on and how

much worse can things get?" It is all part of answers to prophecies and God's warnings to us. Read DC 43 as

one example.

Some say, "What can we, as Christians, Latter Day Saints, and Restorationists, do in this time of trial?" As

the scriptures are replete with counsel and advice, consider the words of Psalm 25:1-2. Sing it, if you like,

"Unto thee O Lord, do I lift up my soul. O my God, I trust in thee; let me not be ashamed, let not mine

enemies triumph over me." As through the course of time, this is not a time for those weak in the faith, but

for those who may be beaten and chained in prison to sing praises to God at midnight. Remember, in the

parable of the Ten Virgins, the call that the Bridegroom is coming, goes out at midnight." The point is to be

ready at any and all hours.

The Centre Place is bustling as the Saints prepare for reunions, camps, the annual summer series, etc.

There will be many opportunities for any Saint, in America or Canada, to share in these spiritual growth

experiences, if they so desire. The Conference of Restoration Elders and Pastors of Zion will again co-

sponsor the 4th annual "In-town Reunion" at CPRS/Waldo June 21-26, 2015. The theme selected should grab

our attention, "The Way Is Prepared!" How many are still asking and wondering what to do, how to deal with

the world's problems, etc. THE WAY IS PREPARED! The daily themes and scripture references are in the

last issue of Tidings of Zion. Make an effort, during that week, even though miles away, to be "a part of the

reunion." God will bless you as you do and be your source of comfort and strength for the days ahead. The

Lord be with and bless you Saints, the Lord be with you Saints, and bless you every day. Love in Christ, Bro

Paul Gage.

Dear Saints, Sunday evening, May 17, 2015, Josh and Claire Loyd had their baby, Isaac blessed. It was at

Waldo Avenue RB and we were joined by the Living Hope RB. There was a very good turnout for the

Brother Kelly Loyd presented comments in regard to the blessing of children. There were several special

prayers for the babies and their parents. Another young couple also had a son blessed..

It was good to see Kelly and Gianna again. They will be here the rest of the week to help Josh and Claire

move and for other family activities. They are scheduled to return home Saturday, May 23, 2015.

Five members of the SEAAM Board were in attendance: Dayn Cederstrom, Paul Gage, Jack Hagensen,

Richard Neill, and Bob and Sheila Schrunk. Sister Judith Hawley was also present.

I shared some of my experiences from Australia at Council Bluffs Iowa this morning and it was well

received. They were able to see photos of most of you and really enjoyed hearing about the wonderful,

faithful Saints in Australia. God bless, Love, Paul Gage.

Riches from the Scriptures by Elder Neil Kerswell, Queensland.

Chapter 6 The Everlasting Covenant

Genesis 9:18-23 God’s Everlasting Covenant

[Genesis 9:18] And God made a covenant with Noah, and said, This shall be the token of the covenant I make between

me and you, and for every living creature with you, for perpetual generations;

[Genesis 9:19] I will set my bow in the cloud; and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

[Genesis 9:20] And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud;

and I will remember my covenant, which I have made between me and you, for every living creature of all flesh. And

the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

[Genesis 9:21] And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting

covenant, which I made unto thy father Enoch; that, when men should keep all my commandments, Zion should again

come on the earth, the city of Enoch which I have caught up unto myself.

[Genesis 9:22] And this is mine everlasting covenant, that when thy posterity shall embrace the truth, and look upward,

then shall Zion look downward, and all the heavens shall shake with gladness, and the earth shall tremble with joy;

[Genesis 9:23] And the general assembly of the church of the firstborn shall come down out of heaven, and possess the

earth, and shall have place until the end come. And this is mine everlasting covenant, which I made with thy father

Every time you see the Bow in the sky you may know that God is remembering his Everlasting

Enoch was a righteous servant of God who in his day managed to bring the calibre of ministry that

lifted his people to great heights in Godliness. They built a city and it was called Zion. God walked

talked with them as with Adam & Eve our first parents in the garden. In process of time God lifted

off the earth and they are known as the Church of the First Born.

God is looking for servants today who will bring the calibre of ministry to lift His people to heights of

Godliness like unto Enoch’s day to cause them to look upwards. Enoch’s city shall come down

again and unite with them upon the earth.

How great are the promises of God unto his children?

How great is the calling of our church?

 To bind up the law and seal up the testimony in the lives of the peoples of this earth.

Ultimately Sealing up the Dispensation of the Gentiles and opening the Time of Israel.

 To fulfill the promises God the Father made unto the earth and his children. That in the last

days the earth would rest and righteous abide upon its face.

Still floating on a 'high note' since our return from Reunion, we began some program planning of our own.

We started by writing our own goal lists followed by ideas on how we may achieve these goals. Having read

the testimonies of our fellow campers, it was lovely to feel united in our experiences at camp, and (for us) to

finally put faces to the names we know.

Reunion gave us a feeling of connection with the Saints. Instead of us feeling so distant from everyone; we

gained ideas for better organization and study. Camp provided the motivation we need.

As a group (my sons and I), we've begun a study on Enriching Your Life Through Prayer. My Mum and I

also hope to have a weekly Women's Study Group together with individual study and fasting. (All are

welcome to visit if you're ever in South Australia).

It is time to move thousands of used library books, so we are offering them FREE to homeschoolers, Christian schools, Saints, and friends. There are hardcover books and paperbacks, generally geared to school-age children.

Books are packed in more than 100 banana boxes (probably 50-80 books to a box). The boxes are separated, with fiction books in one area and nonfiction in another.

Please call to make arrangements to come to Bates City to see and pick up books that you can use or sell. Take as many as you want. These books do NOT include RLDS books that are for sale.

We also still have FREE used building materials that need to be taken apart and removed in the next few weeks. Still available are 1/2" roof sheathing, roof joists, 3/4" flooring, floor joists, and lots of limestone. Roofing paper and foam will need to be stripped from the sheathing and thrown away. Limestone walls will require sledge hammers and strong backs or heavy equipment.

NO, we are NOT tearing down the Sionita School building; but we are dismantling the apartment structure that is attached to the school.

Please call to make arrangements to see the materials. We would like to have everything cleaned up by the end of this summer.

Karmi McCune Update

---------- Forwarded message ----------
From: Muriel Luedeman

Karmi Update

Dear Friends of Karmi and Ron McCune,

I visited Karmi and Ron last night, (Friday), about 8:00pm. She is on oxycodone and was resting with no pain when I arrived. She sat up to give me a hug. They broke the news of the test results yesterday at Truman East. They said the doctor has no more help for her. He ran a sonogram all over her belly and couldn’t find any blockage at all. He says the problem is that her liver is shutting down and it is a matter of time, and to go home and enjoy her family. She looks tired and frail, but she listened and kept up with Ron, Esther, and my conversation. She commented once in a while, letting us know she was a part of the group. I would ask her a question now and then and she responded with a good strong voice. She kept her eyes closed most of the time. We had a good visit about family and church friends. Her parents are here until June 1st. Her brother Tony will be coming in soon.

Karmi and Ron’s next door neighbors stopped in while I was there to say hello. I have met them before, very nice. As I mentioned I had to go, I said I wanted to offer a prayer. They encouraged me to sit on her bed and I held her hand and neighbor, Michelle’s hand as I prayed. I surprised myself that I didn’t break down.

They still have their faith and they appreciate your prayers for healing, however, when Ron walked me out to my car he said he is praying that her heart would stop and help her go quickly and quietly in her sleep. The remainder of her days will be very difficult as fluid collects in her body and lots of pain. He wants to spare her and the whole family that.

Ron is holding up as well as can be expected. No tears in front of Karmi for her sake. He is worn out, too. I told him I would honor his prayer request in his and Karmi’s behalf. They both accept her going “home” soon. In thinking about their life from here on out, if Karmi should be miraculously healed physically now, there will still come the day when she does go and the family will go through the trauma of losing her all over again. There would be no mercy in living through that again. Ron said God was so wonderful to bring her back from death twice and blessed him with six more months with her. He is so grateful for that.

I pray for sweet days remaining, no pain, and lots of peace, comfort, and joy around them. We all experienced that last night.

Ron’s birthday is next Thursday, the 28th. They usually have a picnic in their carport, but Karmi said they were going to forego that this year.

That’s about all for now.

Decline and Fall of the Community of Christ

Decline and Fall of the Community of Christ

"The word which has been given at a late period should not have been so soon forgotten and disregarded by the church or any of its members. "I am God; I change not"; has been known to the church and the eldership since the coming of the angel with the message of restoration. (DC 129: 8c, d).

Recently I became aware of a directive in regards to same-sex marriage, from the leader of the generically named Community of Christ which has prompted this written response. An accompanying letter indicated that leaders should not share this directive with church members, which would indicate to me that their needs to be a "softening up" of the members before the communication is shared with them. There are two ways to be led down the path to spiritual destruction: one is to rush headlong over the precipice, and the other is to be gently persuaded by deceivers over a span of time. Fundamental RLDS members are well aware of the latter method as we experienced it in the efforts by leaders of our denomination to promote the false doctrine of the changeability of God prior to the introduction to DC 156. Preceeding, 1984 we were slowly led down the primrose path after DC 147: 7 was approved by conference action in 1964. Many of us were not aware of the refocusuing and recycling which had been quietly occurring in our beloved church since 1958 according to Dr. Thomas Noffsinger.

President Frederick M. Smith in RLDS Church History Volume 7 stated that the " safeguard " which protected the saints when a false prophet should arise among them was that "always and at all times shall that will be in harmony and consistent with his (God's) revealments in the past ." (pages 303, 304). That safeguard was totally removed by the false concept of dis-junctive revelation. Therefore today World Conference attending saints have no reliable standard to evaluate new "revelations" by referencing the Holy Scriptures. As C of C president Veazey stated in his spurious directive: "Some are concerned about the tension between interim policies and certain Bible verses used to condemn same-gender relationships. Let me be clear. Continuing Revelation approved by the World Conference means those particular Bible verses are not the final word on these matters. Such verses are now understood through insights offered in Continuing Revelation approved by the church."

(Statement to the Church, March 2014). This logic reminded me very much of the attitude of president Lyndon B. Johnson towards critics of his Vietnam War escalation. He simply waived the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution in their faces
(which was based on a distortment of the facts) and arrogantly stated that Congress had given him permission. All Congress could do after that was wring their hands.

Certain truths need to be delineated which to me represent the fundamental nature of the Divine. God has never given any law which was not spiritual, even though it has temporal application (DC 28: 9a. b. c). Thus we could travel to any spot in the temporal universe and the same laws would be applicable. They are eternal in nature and always apply regardless of the time period in which man occupies the earth. Also it goes without saying that in the eternal world these laws also apply. Their disobedience to His spiritual laws, resulted in the fall of satan and his co-conspirators. When God reveals his laws to a prophet in any time period, they are consistent regardless of culture, or current mores. If this were not so, then God would be both changeable in nature and unjust. A sin in Adams day was the same in the days of Enoch, Noah, Abrahams, Moses, Christ, Paul, etc. Marriage which is ordained of God was never initiated by Him to be between individuals of the same-sex, and nothing which the false prophet Veazey and his supporters can state will ever legitimize it in the sight of God. They are also ignoring the law of continuity which simply stated is that when a person dies, the very thing that they most desired to do when alive follows them into eternal realms. Thus a sodomite, drug user, pedophile, alcoholic, prescription pill abuser, adulterer, etc. has the same lusts when they absent their temporal frames, which they did when alive. The Lord has made it very clear that such shall not inherit the kingdom of God unless they repent:

"For after this day of life, which is given us to prepare for eternity, Behold if we do not improve our time while in this life, then cometh the night of darkness wherein there can be no labor performed. Ye cannot say when ye are brought to that awful crisis that I will repent, that I will return to my God; Nay, ye cannot say this, For that same spirit that doth possess your bodies at the time ye go out of this life, That same spirit will have power to possess your body in the eternal world ." Alma 16: 230-232

It is obvious from Veazeys rationale which justifies permitting same-sex individuals to participate in the ordinances and sacraments of the church and marry, that the god of this world truly has blinded the eyes of those who believe not. A few years ago I wrote this man a letter and implored him to return the church to its firm foundation. The letter was obviously ignored. Instead of presiding over an institution which calls sinners to repentance, he presides over one which is submerged in our fallen Western culture and has lost its power to intervene in the lives of fallen man. Like Jacob Marley, they will wear the chains forged in life. Rather than demonstrating love for sinful man by calling him to repentance, such blind guides offer the salve of loving them in their sins, not exhorting them to repent, and proffering a false salvation.

Let me be very clear. When Jesus Christ sets his church in order, we will not accept the false teachings of the Community of Christ and there will be no women or homosexuals officiating in the ordinances and sacraments of the church. There will be no same-sex marriages permitted and homosexuals will either repent from that lifestyle or they cannot be members of the church. Let it also be very clear to those who shall read this article that the false temple shall be destroyed and there will be loss of life and serious injuries I have seen this destruction as have others and it shall come to pass.

Mr. Veazey did write one statement with which I do agree: God's nature, as revealed in Jesus Christ and affirmed by the Holy Spirit, provides the ultimate standard by which any portion of scripture should be interpreted and applied ." Unfortunately for him and his followers by their very words they have demonstrated that they neither comprehend nor can interpret the Divine nature, and thus do a tremendous disservice by falsely misrepresenting both God and Christ.

Property for Sale - 2511 S LOWE RD, INDEPENDENCE, MO 64015

I am offering to sale to the right person a very special property with spiritual endowments located in eastern Independence at the corner of Lobb Cemetery and Lowe Roads. This 5.57 acre lot (243,312.88 SqFt) was originally purchased from the Rainbow Corporation (precursor to Harvest Hills) by my parents for the location of a center for healing and restoration. My life path and calling has taken me in another direction and I am lead to offer this property to someone else’s stewardship and care. The property is located in a peaceful, tranquil area and has commanding view of Independence and Kansas City in the distance. My sense is that the property has had sacred gatherings there since antiquity. The land is currently zoned “Agriculture/Horticulture Vacant Land” (code: 4000), but could be rezoned for residential. The school district is Blue Springs R-4. City water and sewer at the property line.

Please Assist the work in Nigera, West Africa

---------- Forwarded message ----------
From: Bill Barrett

Please Assist the work in Nigera, West Africa

Dear Saints,

Many times in 3rd world countries the work of spreading the Restored Gospel languishes because the Pastor is unemployed. Because we do not pay our pastors, they have no means of support. The local economies consider pastors as employed people and do not allow them to have other jobs. Our national president and pastor in Nigeria, brother Dayo Samuel, has a family of four plus one they have taken in. His wife has a good job, but they need additional income, and they need to pay off some debt. Dayo has faithfully been evangelizing and spreading the Gospel since 2007. He now has 6 branches, more than 8 missions, more than 17 priesthood, and more than 250 members.

Dayo has made a request for some assistance to start up a transportation business which will help support his family and pay off some debt, while still allowing him to work full time in the ministry. He has researched the business and knows of others who are succeeding in it. Basically through legal contract he would be the financier of a transport vehicle (shown below) which he would rent to a driver who must pay him a daily rate plus buy his own fuel and oil and keep up repairs. The vehicle would be paid off in one year and in another year a second vehicle can be purchased. He needs $3,500 to start up the business.

Storehouse Ministries considers this a good investment, but we do not currently have the funds to support the amount. If any of you could make a tax deductible contribution toward this project through Storehouse Ministries Of Zion Inc., you would be receipted at the end of the year.
You can make your checks of any amount to Storehouse Ministries Of Zion Inc. and put "Nigeria Transport” in the memo line, and send them to:

Please also e-mail Joy Muir at of your pledge, so we can notify all of you when the need has been met. Thank you from Storehouse Ministries of Zion, Inc.!!

Storehouse Ministries of Zion Inc. is NOT supported by any conference or factional group. It is a stand alone 501c3 tax exempt charity organization that attempts to assist people who have needs, but don't have the ability to receive oblation from a restoration branch. We also try to help 3rd world saints build churches, build schools, attend schools and orphanages, and have individual stewardships by giving or loaning them start-up capital to start businesses of their own.

This is the same organization that asked assistance for Raymond James in Cameroon for his ice cream business which he has started. We are directed by a board of 6 members, the chairman of which was CRE, then went JCRB, and is now remnant. We have 2 remnant board members, 3 JCRB board members, and myself from the CRE. There are 4 men and 2 women on the board. Joy Muir is the secretary of our organization. It was originally formed by members of the CRE, before there was a JCRB, as a place for people to contribute their surplus and tithes to noble causes, since we didn't have a bishopric. We have intentionally not affiliated with any conference, so we can assist all saints and neighbors.

This past year we have helped with Family assistance $700, Medical expenses $3655.12, Stewardship (Cameroon) $2715, First Nation $500, Educational assistance in Belize $640, Central America Assistance $500, and utility bills $158, totaling $8868.12 but we only took in $6853. So we are in dire need of support.

In the past we have helped with over $100,000 to purchase lands, build churches, build schools, support an orphanage, and meet a number of local needs. I would love for more people to know about our function, rather than using the secular "GO FUND ME" way to contribute to peoples needs, they can use Storehouse Ministries of Zion, Inc. and get tax receipted at the end of the year.

I hope this assures you of this good cause where we are all working together for the cause of Zion.

Bill Barrett, board member of SMoZ Inc. and board member of African Restoration Ministries.

House For Sale

The link below contains information on a house that just came up for sale in our Independence neighborhood. It is within walking distance to Mill Creek Park and 5-6 houses away from three restoration families. The neighborhood is quiet and the asking price is low (the next door neighbor's house would go for at least $150,000.)

Can You Sing or Play an Instrument ?

Can You Sing or Play an Instrument ?

Dear Wonderful Family of Saints, Just a reminder….

We have scheduled the following two dates for auditions to be on:

· for Orchestra members Saturday, June 6th 2015 from 11:00am to 2:00pm in the Sanctuary (Please bring your music stand)

· for Choir members Saturday, June 13th 2015 from 11:00am to 2:00pm in the Sanctuary

There are many wonderful events to take place in the center place of Zion upon the horizon! All events are free to the community and to be held at the historic Stone Church :)

1. Saturday, November 14th, 2015 at 7:30 pm - Thanksgiving Praise to God Hymn festival

2. Friday, April 8th, and Saturday, April 9th, 2016 – Handel’s Messiah 100th year anniversary (it originating in Independence and the Kansas City area at Stone Church in 1916)

3. Another beautiful choral and congregational event to be placed in the summer 2016 (currently in the works to be selected)

4. Now Annual Thanksgiving Praise to God Hymn festival in the fall 2016

As you can see, the praising of God and His Only Begotten Son will be happening 3 times each year, spring, summer, and fall! :)

The purpose of this email is to excite and enlist any Saints who can sing or play an instrument, who want to be a part of this worshipful setting in service to God and community to please come and audition as a choral member or as an orchestra member :) We would like to expand the size of our volunteer choir that sings in Handel’s Messiah to even a greater number of united voices in praise. We also would like to have a volunteer orchestra who could play these beautiful God given masterpieces.

Please spread the word to your fellow Saints, family, and friends so that all may have an opportunity to come, to audition, and most importantly, to share together as one in our Glorious God & Savior!

Please text, email, or call me so that we can make sure we have enough music for the auditions.

Love in all sincerity,

Your sister in Christ, Robyn Mun

Youth Marksmanship Program

---------- Forwarded message ----------From:

Youth Marksmanship Program

Frontier Justice, the new gun range on the north side of Lee’s Summit, is establishing an interest list for a youth shooting league for young people 12-18 years of age. We would probably meet twice a month for about two hours and learn how to shoot a bulls eye target at various distances from the prone, sitting, and standing positions. If interested, competition with other groups may be a possibility. We would utilize the common Ruger 10/22 .22 caliber rifle or you can bring your own .22 caliber rifle. We will follow the guidelines of the Winchester Marksmanship Program. Patches and medals will be awarded when the participant reaches the various levels such as Expert or Sharpshooter.

Due to gun range lane availability the group would be limited to 10-12 participants. If enough interest perhaps a second group could be started meeting on a different week night. It is estimated the cost per session would be $10 to cover the range and ammo costs.

While I will be working with the program also, the shooting coach will be Jason Austin a volunteer who works with the Pioneer Gun Club youth program and coaches a local shooting team of older teen-agers that compete on the National Level. Please let me know your interest at the email address below. We would like to get the youth shooting league up and running with at least a few participants in a few weeks. Thanks!

Community Of Christ OKs Gay Marriage And Clergy

Community Of Christ OKs Gay Marriage And Clergy

Whether its NBA player Jason Collins coming out as gay, or another politician explaining his “evolving” views on sexuality, recent news headlines seem to reveal Americans’ rapidly changing attitudes toward sexual orientation.

Here in Kansas City, the Community of Christ church recently added its voice to the chorus of those in favor of equal treatment for gays and lesbians. Two weeks ago, delegates from across the country came to the church’s world headquarters in Independence and voted to allow same-sex marriage and the ordination of gay and lesbians ministers in its US churches.
