June Issue of Australian Restoration News

---------- Forwarded message ----------
From: Noel

June Issue of Australian Restoration News

Greetings, attached is the latest Australian Restoration News. Kindest regards to all.
Noel Rowlatt.

Zion the beautiful beckons us on. ++++++++++

Around and about the Centre Place by High Priest Paul Gage, Independence, Missouri.

Moving into the sixth month of the year finds many things, in the Centre Place, starting to sizzle. First, the weather

will begin to warm up for summer time, but more importantly, many opportunities for spiritual growth and

development will be available for those who choose to participate and receive the Lord' s blessings.

The reunion and camp season kicks off with the Zion' s Ridge reunion near Independence. This will be followed by

the Central Missouri, South Crysler, and CRE/POZ Conference/Reunion June 19-24 at Waldo/CPRS. The theme for

the reunion, as listed in the last Tidings, is centered on the " Gifts of the Spirit."

The Pastors of Zion (POZ) will host their annual " Sunday Evening Summer Preaching Series". The series is held at

Waldo/CPRS and goes from June 12 through August 21. In addition, there will be camps held in Colorado, Iowa, and

Many things are happening throughout the world that are simply shocking, tragic, and ungodly. However, none of

these things are a surprise to God. Doctrine and Covenants 105:9-10 mentions many things, among which is a

" whirlwind that shall come upon all the face of the earth." And upon my house shall it begin and from my house shall it

go forth, saith the Lord. First among those among you, saith the Lord, who have professed to know my name and have

not known me, and have blasphemed against me in the midst of my house, saith the Lord." What would you do if

someone, especially family and friends came into your house and started cursing you, threatening you, slandering you,

changing your rules and arrangement of the contents of your house? What will the Lord do with those who are doing

those things in His House? Ask the five foolish virgins, the prodigal son, the House of Israel, the Nephites, after the

Golden Age, the early Latter Day Saints and leaders, who at the time of this revelation were at odds with each other,

especially at Kirtland where the revelation was given just a little more than a year after the marvelous experience at the

dedication of the Kirtland Temple. We could also add the current situation in the Restoration.

It is obvious that the whirlwind started in the church and led to the many situations in the world that fill the daily

news. The severe diminishing of any kind of moral values and behavior, the turning away from God and Christian

beliefs, the acceptance and promotion of anything that is against the laws and plans of God and on and on. That is the

result of a " whirlwind" that occurs when those who profess God do the opposite of what He instructs them to do. God

plainly tells us in DC 81:3 " And again, I say unto you, I give unto you a new commandment, that you may understand

my will concerning you, or in other words, I give unto you directions how you may act before me, that it may turn to

you for your salvation. I, the Lord, am bound when ye do what I say, but when ye do not what I say, YE HAVE NO

PROMISE." Re-read the parable of building your house on the rock or sand, as found in Matthew 7:30-35.

Whatever time we have left on this earth, whether in death or the return of Jesus, we must be ready, with oil in our

lamps and not be deceived by the things of the world A few interesting things that have surfaced recently are that an

ancient Buddhist prophecy over 200 years ago stated that there would only be 14 Dalai Lamas. The 14th one is the

current one who is 81 years old. Another is a prophecy by Saint Malachy in the 12th century that there would only be

112 additional Popes. The current Pope is the 112th and he is 79 years old. Another prophecy that might be considered

is the one by Elder Joseph Burton, of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in 1873. He was

shown in a vision that there would only be seven prophets to direct the church in the latter days, beginning in 1830.

There have been six prophets of the Smith line with one more to go, according to the experience of Brother Burton. All

those since Wallace B. Smith are not considered true successors.

We have also passed the Blood Moons are in to the year of Jubilee. Finally, an experience received years ago, and I

do not know who it came through, but only some details. In the experience, the Saints were gathered in the Auditorium

for conference and the church leaders were on stage preparing for the meetings. At the same time, a group of men, in

short sleeve white shirts were across the street from the Auditorium, on the east side. A personage came down the

center aisle of the sanctuary and went on stage and made an announcement of some kind. At the announcement, the

church leaders and most, if not all of the Saints in the Auditorium begin to exit out the north door. As they exited, the

men in white shirts came in through the east door and the personage, which is assumed was Jesus Christ set the church

in order. It is interesting to note that the COC conference in 2016 is in early June.

Speculation, however, will never gain us entrance into His Kingdom, but rather, our devoted and steadfast obedience

to His commandments. Proverbs 3:5-6 " Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own

understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." God bless you each and every one.

Riches from the Scriptures Volome 2 by Elder Neil Kerswell

Chapter 4. BAPTISM 0f WATER

Why are we baptised?

Inspired Version Acts 2:38: Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of

Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Baptism is for remission of sins and like cancer and other diseases, sin has the ability to take life from the individual.

While we love and keep God's commandments and bring forth fruits of repentance, our sins are forgiven. The work of

Christ in our lives is to bring about a true change of heart and assist us to become Holy and be presented unto the

Father spotless, so we can dwell with Him in His fullness. Therefore once we enter the straight and narrow path we

must continue in faith, enduring unto the end. If we cannot endure and fall back into sin, then our baptism avails us

little except we repent and return unto God with full purpose of heart.

Repentance and baptism is a prerequisite for receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost.

Baptised in Water I. V. Acts 8: 34-39

[Acts 8:34] And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? Of himself, or

[Acts 8:35] Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

[Acts 8:36] And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water; and the eunuch said, See, here is water;

what doth hinder me to be baptized?

[Acts 8:37] And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe

that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

[Acts 8:38] And he commanded the chariot to stand still; and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the

eunuch; and he baptized him.

[Acts 8:39] And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch

saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing.

Philip taught the Eunuch all about Christ as they travelled. We take upon ourselves the name of Christ when we

Covenant with God. If the Eunuch believed all that Philip told him with all of his heart he could be baptised. He

summed it up with the statement (I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God)

Being baptised in water symbolises a number of things - Being Washed clean from our sin, dying to the ways of this

world, and rebirth into a greater kingdom,

Without Baptism we cannot see God's Kingdom. IV John 3:1-8

[John 3:1] There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews;

[John 3:2] The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from

God; for no man can do these miracles which thou doest, except God be with him.

[John 3:3] Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot

see the kingdom of God.

[John 3:4] Nicodemus said unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his

mother's womb and be born?

[John 3:5] Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water, and the Spirit, he cannot

enter into the kingdom of God.

[John 3:6] That which is born of the flesh, is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit, is spirit.

[John 3:7] Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

[John 3:8] The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh,

and whither it goeth; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit.

Jesus was giving Nicodemus the understanding that except a man be born of water and the spirit he cannot even see

the Kingdom of God. How important is it then to share what we know about Baptism with others?

Those who receive God's spirit are like the wind, you can see the evidence of God moving in their lives however, you

can't see him. In this scripture the Baptism of Water represents being reborn.

Jesus was Baptized to show us the way - IV. Matt 3:44-46

[Mat 3:44] And John went down into the water and baptized him.

[Mat 3:45] And Jesus when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water; and John saw, and lo, the heavens

were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting upon Jesus.[Mat 3:46] And lo,

he heard a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear ye him.

Even Jesus who had no sin in his life was baptised to fulfill all righteousness and set the example for us. So we can in

like manner follow our Lord and Saviour in the path of righteousness.

Jesus came up out of the water signifying full immersion under the water. God the Father in the heavens confirmed

by His own voice, that Christ indeed was his Son and that what He had done pleased God. The words "Hear ye him"

tells me that Christ was authorised of His Father to go forth in the Ministry.

Baptism symbolises Death and life. IV. Rom 6:3-11

[Rom 6:3] Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

[Rom 6:4] Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death; that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by

the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

[Rom 6:5] For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his

[Rom 6:6] Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that

henceforth we should not serve sin.

[Rom 6:7] For he that is dead to sin is freed from sin.

[Rom 6:8] Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him;

[Rom 6:9] Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

[Rom 6:10] For in that he died, he died unto sin once; but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

[Rom 6:11] Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ

Baptism represents being buried with Christ and raised up again out of the water, to represent being raised to a

newness of life. Giving us hope in the resurrection to come.

In Baptism we should become dead to sin and alive in Christ.

Baptism is the gate - It is only the beginning of the journey. 2 Nephi 13:24-32

[2 Nephi 13:24] For the gate by which ye should enter is repentance and baptism by water: and then cometh a

remission of your sins by fire, and by the Holy Ghost.

[2 Nephi 13:25] And then are ye in this straight and narrow path which leads to eternal life; yea, ye have entered in by

the gate; ye have done according to the commandments of the Father and the Son;

[2 Nephi 13:26] And ye have received the Holy Ghost, which witnesses of the Father and the Son, unto the fulfilling of

the promise which he hath made, that if ye enter in by the way, ye should receive.

[2 Nephi 13:27] And now, my beloved brethren, after ye have gotten into this strait and narrow path, I would ask, if all

[2 Nephi 13:28] Behold, I say unto you, Nay; for ye have not come thus far, save it were by the word of Christ, with

unshaken faith in him, relying wholly upon the merits of him who is mighty to save;

[2 Nephi 13:29] Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope,

and a love of God and of all men.

[2 Nephi 13:30] Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold,

thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.

[2 Nephi 13:31] And now behold, my beloved brethren, this is the way; and there is none other way nor name given

under heaven, whereby man can be saved in the kingdom of God.

[2 Nephi 13:32] And now behold, this is the doctrine of Christ, and the only and true doctrine of the Father, and of the

Son, and of the Holy Ghost, which is one God, without end. Amen.

Repentance and Baptism opens the door or the gate to a straight and narrow path which leads to life eternal. What

this means is that the way to God the Father in the fullness of His Kingdom is a way like our God doesn't vary to the

left or right according to His word. It is a way of discipline and Christ like conduct, and we are told few there be that

find it. I often add when teaching "and fewer there be that actually stay on the path once having found it". This implies

great responsibility on parents and priesthood alike to be faithful in their calling towards the children of the Lord.

When we have entered in by the gate we have done the will of both the Father and the Son, having received the Holy

Ghost which is the spirit of God and bears witness of The Father and the Son with promise that we shall receive.

When we are baptised we are baptised in the threefold name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost which is the

one true and living God, who reveals Himself in this way to bring about the immortality and eternal life of Mankind.

Church History Experience of Joseph Smith Junior & Oliver Cowdery

"The messenger who visited us on this occasion, and conferred this priesthood upon us, said that his name was John, the

same that is called John the Baptist, in the New Testament, and that he acted under the direction of Peter, James, and John,

who held the keys of the priesthood of Melchisedec, which priesthood he said should in due time be conferred on us-and that

I should be called the first elder, and he the second. It was on the fifteenth day of May, eighteen hundred and twenty-nine,

that we were baptized and ordained under the hand of the messenger. "Immediately upon our coming up out of the water,

after we had been baptized, we experienced great and glorious blessings from our heavenly Father. No sooner had I

baptized Oliver Cowdery than the Holy Ghost fell upon him and he stood up and prophesied many things which should

shortly come to pass. And again, so soon as I had been baptized by him, I also had the spirit of prophecy, when, standing up,

I prophesied concerning the rise of the church, and many other things connected with the church, and this generation of the

children of men. We were filled with the Holy Ghost and rejoiced in the God of our salvation.

"Our minds being now enlightened, we began to have the Scriptures laid open to our understandings, and the true meaning

of their more mysterious passages revealed unto us, in a manner which we never could attain to previously, nor ever before

From the testimony of Joseph and Oliver above we can see that first Authority from Heaven had to be given in order for

the first priesthood of our church to be able to enter into a covenant. This came through the personage of John the Baptist

who held the keys to the Aaronic priesthood and was acting under the direction of Peter, James and John the apostles who

held the keys of the ministry of Melchisedec which in God's timing would be conferred upon them.

These Precious keys of priesthood authority were in actual fact given unto Joseph Smith and he and Oliver in turn have

passed on this authority upon all who God has called to the various offices of priesthood within the Church from that time

through to ours. This is not something to be taken lightly, nor something to be played with by men. It is a sacred gift

allowing chosen vessels of God who are humble, meek and lowly of heart men, to stand in the stead of Christ and be His

servants, friends and witnesses for Him, both in this world and the next.

Priesthood is an eternal stewardship to be accounted for in both time and eternity. May all whom Christ has endowed

with this responsibility be true to their calling and wander not. Unto those who have made a covenant in the waters of

Baptism, may you consider this in every decision you make; because you did make a promise to the Almighty, everything

you do must be related to that promise

Questions to ask ourselves regularly:

Is what we want to do in harmony with God's will?

Will my current desires cause me to break my promise in the Waters of Baptism?

Unto anyone who has not been baptised by those having Authority - Pray unto your Heavenly Father for a testimony of

what he requires of you

Unto those who are baptised you have a great responsibility:

? Come before the table of the Lord often - to have His Spirit

? Fellowship with the Saints as often as you possibly can to pray for each other and strengthen each other

? Pray unceasing in your heart - the prayer of the heart is a song unto the Lord

? All relationships must be maintained or they will break down

[3 Nephi 5:24] Verily I say unto you, that whoso repenteth of his sins through your words, and desireth to be baptized

in my name, on this wise shall ye baptize them: Behold, ye shall go down and stand in the water, and in my name shall

[3 Nephi 5:25] And now behold, these are the words which ye shall say, calling them by name, saying: Having

authority given me of Jesus Christ, I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

[3 Nephi 5:26] And then shall ye immerse them in the water, and come forth again out of the water.

[3 Nephi 5:27] And after this manner shall ye baptize in my name, for behold, verily I say unto you, that the Father,

and the Son, and the Holy Ghost are one; and I am in the Father, and the Father in me, and the Father and I are one.

[3 Nephi 5:28] And according as I have commanded you, thus shall ye baptize.

As Elder Murray & Sr. Delma Broughton are in the Philippines giving ministry we have no Victoria News this

Tamworth News submitted by Sr. Helen Archer

We continue to meet each Sunday. Elder Peter Archer conducted both the following preaching services.

On the 8th of May we celebrated Mothers Day . Scripture from 1 st Timothy 2:3 to 6

Peter said " We honor our mothers because without them, there is no life. They gave birth to us all and along with

help of fathers, raised us up to be the people we are today". Gen 2:28 to 30 Gen 3:26

So without a mother there is no life. So without Jesus there is NO Eternal Life or forgiveness. Read

2 Corinthian 4:18 "While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for things

which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal".

We had a fellowship lunch after Church.

15th May: Scripture from 1 st John 3:1 to 11. Topic: "What is the Love of God?"

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not

perish but have everlasting life".

Sadly our much loved sister in Christ, Beverly Wilkinson, has passed away and our deepest sympathy is extended

to Bro. Bob and his family. Sr. Bev was a loving and staunch follower of her Lord and such an integral part of our

little branch, I can't begin to describe how much she will be missed. She was like another mother to me and my

family. Please continue to pray for our Brother Bob as he makes this sad and hard adjustment to his

life. Elders Peter & Danny Archer conducted the funeral service.

May the Lord be with you and Bless you all.

Newcastle News submitted by Sr Gianna Loyd

It was with great sadness & heaviness of heart that we attended my Aunty Beverly Wilkinson's funeral in

Tamworth on April 28th. She was a much loved aunt, sister, wife, mother & grandmother. Elder Kelly Loyd & I

& Srs. Nina DiRico & Donna Arnall left Newcastle very early Thursday morning to be at the Lincoln Grove

memorial Park & Crematorium for the 9 am service. Elders Peter Archer & Danny Archer presided. It was a

lovely service. Beverly's daughter Leanne read the Eulogy & it delved into her life. She did such wonderful

things and it was good to be reminded of all the things she did to help others around her. It was nice to catch up at

the wake with my extended family whom we do not see so very often. There were photos of her life being shown

& it was nice to reminisce about all the good times. The ladies did a wonderful job with the refreshments; they

were truly delicious. Sr Nina got to talk to her other brothers & sisters and it was good for her to see them again.

Unfortunately, my father could not attend the funeral due to sickness .He did so want to attend, but the trip would

have been too long for him. Sr Nina celebrated her 76th Birthday on May 4th. We had a Morning Tea with family

for her on May 1st. which she thoroughly enjoyed.

Do hope all the Mothers had a great Day on May 12th.

Health Update. My father Don was readmitted to hospital on May 16th with a high fever & for further testing.

They are monitoring him at the moment to see what is causing the initial problem. Thank you all for your ongoing

prayers. Sr Nina is in good health at this present time. Many blessing to you all.

Pentecost Services

Pentecost Service / Solemn Assembly

Saturday, June 11, 6:00 – 8:00 PM
Sunday, June 12, 9:30 AM – 12:00

Waldo Avenue Restoration Branch
819 West Waldo Avenue, Independence, MO

We invite all Restoration believers to join with us on June 11 and 12 for services of prayer, testimony, and spiritual revival. These dates correspond with the Jewish celebration of Shavuot, or Pentecost.

Considering the present condition of wickedness and turmoil in this world, it is obvious that we need revival in the church and nation and an endowment of spiritual power, the power of Jesus Christ which alone can bring healing and hope to individuals and to society.

“Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning; and rend your heart, and not your garments, and repent, and turn unto the Lord your God; for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and he will turn away the evil from you... Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly...let them say, Spare thy people, O Lord, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them” (Joel 2:12-17).

“And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions” (Joel 2:28).

We would ask you to come with prayer, fasting, and with a deep longing for spiritual transformation in the body of Christ and throughout our country and world.
