New Items at Restoration Bookstore

New Items at Restoration Bookstore

We are excited to announce new gift cards available at Restoration Bookstore! In commemoration of the 200th anniversary of Joseph Smith's first vision in the grove, we are using--on these gift cards--Joseph Lewis's widely recognized painting of that momentous event. The gift card can be loaded with any amount, and there is no expiration date for its use.

This specially designed gift card was made possible because of the purchase of new Point of Sale (POS) equipment to replace our outdated and non-repairable cash registers. One of the features of this new system is the processing of these gift cards. We are grateful for this new equipment, and we are also thankful to all of you who have supported--and continue to support--the Bookstore's efforts to provide materials for the Saints that reflect the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the beliefs of His Church, the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Other new items include the following:

Memoirs and Testimonies of Louise Clark Gregson--Volume 1. Sister Gregson, a native of the Hawaiian Islands, started writing her memoirs on her 96th birthday (May 24, 2018), and completed this first volume a year later. This uplifting, heart-warming book is filled with testimonies of the truths of the Gospel and the many blessings from the Lord that were given to her and to those she loved. Despite the trials and heartaches she experienced over the years, she valiantly testifies of God’s goodness to her and the joy she has found in following Him. 204 pages. $10.00

It Only Takes a Spark (CD), by South Crysler Restoration Branch Young Adult Choir. This popular CD, originally produced in 2012, is once again available to listen to over and over. It contains eighteen favorite “songs for the fading campfire,” sung a cappella. Some of the songs include “Pass It On,” “Lord, I Want To Be a Christian,” “We Are One in the Spirit,” “For Those Tears I Died,” “Follow Me,” “Sing Alleluia To the Lord,” and twelve others. $10.00

Sacred Hymns, Volume 3, by Mark Colville. In this third volume of sacred hymns, thirty-three favorite hymns have been arranged for piano and voice. They can be used for introits, special music and postludes, as well as for piano solos or vocal solos. Some of the hymns included are “Oh For a Closer Walk With God,” “You May Sing of the Beauty,” “I Gave My Life for Thee,” “Take My Life and Let It Be,” “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing,” “Beneath the Cross of Jesus,” and many more, including a Christmas carol and a baptismal hymn. 46 pages. $7.75

Definitions of Words in the Inspired Version, Book of Mormon, & Doctrine & Covenants, compiled by Dennis Moe. This is a wonderful reference book to keep handy when reading the three books of Scriptures. It is divided into four sections--the Old Testament, the New Testament, the Book of Mormon, and the Doctrine and Covenants. It contains many words that have meanings that are different than what is found in a modern-day dictionary, which helps in understanding the verses in the Scriptures. In creating the definitions found in this book, the author relied "on the Holy Spirit, on the Noah Webster's 1828 First Edition of an American Dictionary of the English Language, Facsimile First Edition, and on a Strong's Concordance." 83 pages. $6.50

We still have some used books that are priced from $1 to $3, and some of our current books are marked down because they are "gently used." Please come in to browse the new and used books, to purchase a gift card for someone special, or to add your name to the new database so that you can be notified of special sales in the future.

Have a blessed day!
