Brain Balance of Lee's Summit (413 N Murray Rd.) is hiring part-time coaches. Must be 18 years old or older and like working with kids. The hours are afternoon and evening hours, approximately 25-30 hours per week. Works well with College schedules. Work days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Diana Henry Obituary

From: Linda Datschefski ldatschefski@gmail.com Diana Henry Obituary Diana Harriet Henry, longtime resident of North Platte, NE, departed this life at the Bryan Memorial West Hospital in Lincoln on February 24, 2024. She was 87 years old. Diana was born June 6, 1936, in North Platte to Paul William and Gertrude Marie Nisley in a small house on 3rd Street, across from the North Platte Salvation Army. She was the 5th oldest child in a family of 8. She married Bob Henry in her mid-life and loved their life on the farm with the many opportunities to learn new things about pigs, cattle and farm life in general. As she grew older she enjoyed sharing interesting stories with her family and friends. Diana had 3 daughters, 6 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She loved family and hosting family gatherings at her home. She also enjoyed time with her extended family and friends going to lunches or offering cookies and coffee in her home. Diana treasured the time she was able to spend with her brothers and sisters and especially enjoyed visits by her older brother Jim when they would engage in many fix-up activities around the house. She also loved going for drives and vacations with her family. Diana was an active member of her church, the Restoration Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ; she served her church in many positions throughout her life. The Bible was her favorite book. She was retired but stayed active working on crafts, cooking, canning, baking and other hobbies, often making things for the annual women's spring banquet. She also made wedding cakes when called on. Diana is survived by her brother, Jim Nisley of Madison, WI; her sister, Marietta (Robert) Bradford of Modesto, CA; sisters-in law, Gayle Frosh of North Platte and Judy (Don) Christofferson of Stapleton; daughters, Judy (Pete) Rodriguez of Timnath, CO, Linda Datschefski of Independence, MO, and Sheryl (Mark) Schaeffer of North Platte; and her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Gertrude Nisley; her husband Robert; brothers, Paul, Charles and Robert; sisters, Pat and Barbara; and great-granddaughter, Abbi Schaeffer.

The funeral service was held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, at Odean Colonial Chapel with the interment immediately followed at Garfield Table Cemetery. Linda Erwin's Obituary

Linda Lou Yager Erwin was born February 15, 1942 in Springfield, MO to John and Helen Yager as the third of four children. Linda married her soul mate, Duane, on July 27, 1962. They had two children by blood, two by adoption, and many more through foster care. They were married for 47 wonderful years. Their home was always open to those in need, be it people or stray animals. She loved her family very much and enjoyed having them near her at all times, especially her grandkids. She was ‘Nana’ to many and loved by all. She left behind many who loved her dearly. Although her husband and siblings all greeted her on Heaven’s shore, her children, Judy, Angel, Tim, Levi, and April still remain, along with numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Linda was 82 when she passed away, Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Centerpoint hospital. She was surrounded by loved ones and passed peacefully in her sleep. She is blessed now that her joy is complete.

Dorothy J. Sevy - Obituary

 

Dorothy J. Sevy May 28, 1925 — February 28, 2024 Independence, Missouri Dorothy Juanita (Bilquist) Sevy, 98, of Independence, MO, went to be with Jesus, Tuesday, February 28th, 2024, while surrounded by family. A visitation was held from 6-8 pm on Monday, March 4th, 2024 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Funeral service were held on Tuesday, March 5th, 2024 at 10am at Buckner Restoration Branch Church. Burial to immediately follow at Mound Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care (www.crossroadshospice.com) and/or Buckner Restoration Branch Church (www.bucknerrb.org). Dorothy was one of 9 children, born to George and Alma (Hockenson) Bilquist on May 28, 1925, in Independence, MO. In 1942, she was a graduate of Buckner High School. She continued on to college, where she received a teaching certificate from Central Missouri State Teachers College. Dorothy taught all grades in a one room school house, then went on to teach kindergarten, 2nd and 7th grades at Blue Mills Elementary School. Even though Dorothy was a teacher, she was also a woman of many other trades. She served as a stenographer for the Navy in WWII, was a hairstylist for friends and her sweet Gordon, and was a controller for Clark Manufacturing, Standard Oil, John Knox Village and Greenstreet Interiors, before retiring in 1983. On February 15, 1946, Dorothy married her sweetheart, Gordon Frederick Sevy and the pair soon adopted two children, Nancy Colleen and Mark Alan. Dorothy was a longtime member of the Buckner Restoration Branch Church, where she sang in the choir, offered her ministry of music through song and the piano, taught Sunday school and vacation bible school and was a true, and faithful servant of the Lord. She was a wonderful wife, excellent mother, an outstanding grandmother and a dear friend to many. Dorothy loved to sing and play the piano, travel to enjoy natures beauty with Gordon and friends, and spend quality time with those she loved most. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon, of 73 years, both of her parents, and several siblings, Wesley, Daniel, Judith, Percy, Maude and George. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Marty) Bolyard; son, Mark (Natalie) Sevy; granddaughter, Whitney Sevy; grandson, Tyler (Amy) Sevy and great grandson, Gordon Michael Sevy; sisters, Ruth Hontz and Joyce Johnston; her oldest friend, Harriett “Sammie” Wilson; and many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Dorothy was loved by everyone who knew her; she will be greatly missed.

Eric Allan Davis - Obituary

 

Eric Allan Davis September 23, 1969 — February 29, 2024 Eric Allan Davis, 54 of Independence, Missouri passed away unexpectedly on February 29, 2024. Eric was born to Allan and Joy (Stone) Davis on September 23,1969 in Independence, Missouri. He graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1988. Eric was a proud employee of Allied Universal Security for 15 years. He was also an Eagle Scout and served as a Deacon within the Buckner Congregation Community of Christ church. Eric treasured spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews, and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his mother, Joy Davis (until her untimely death 3 days after his), sister, Stefanie (Tim) Luttrell; nieces, Melody (Mitch) Willey, Heather (Luke) Crabb; nephew, Justin (Tori) Luttrell; great nephews, Bennett and Abel Willey, and Liam Luttrell; and great niece, Dani Willey.
