LIVING IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD MARCH 14, 2024

LIVING IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD MARCH 14, 2024

In the Precious Name of Jesus Christ, we extend greetings to God’s people throughout the world. We continue those greetings with words from Hebrews 1 and 2.

1:1 “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds, 1:3 Who, being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high, 1:4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

2:1 Therefore, we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. 2:2 For if the word spoken by angels was steadfast and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward, 2:3 How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him, 2:4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs, and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will.”

This is further indication that God has spoken, does speak and will continue to speak to those who are willing to listen. As we all know, very well, the reputation of the Israelites, Jaredites, Nephites, Lamanites and Latter Day Saintites has been to basically to hear the word of God and not respond, except as and when we want to or have great needs. What kind of “Kingdom builders” does that make us? Is there evidence that we are “Building up the Kingdom and establishing His righteousness?”

The real essence of idolatry comes in calling a bad thing good and a good thing bad. Before long it becomes impossible to discriminate between values. This was taken from a 1988 Daily Bread.
What would that author say today? If there is no “right and wrong,” there is no morality and God is removed from the center of the universe. Is God removed from the public all over the world?

We know that in all things, God reigns Supreme. There is a standard by which all truth is determined: JESUS CHRIST. He told us to “Seek first to build up His Kingdom and to establish His righteousness.”
That is still, our task, even in today’s world. As the hymn states, “Let us walk, live, and function IN THE LIGHT OF GOD.

God Bless
Paul Gage

GOD IS MARSHALING HIS ARMY

How does God marshal His army? Probably according to our response to His commandments.
A non-chalant casual, not very diligent soldier would not be of much, if any value to the over-all purpose of an army. Remember Gideon’s army started with 32, 000, then went to 10, 000 and finally 300 and then went into battle with no real physical weapons. Pitchers, candles, trumpets and strong voices. Not one of Gideon’s soldiers were lost or even injured, because the enemy ran away. That proved that it was God’s army, God’s battle and God’s victory.

Independence Heartland Meeting 3/21/24

Independence Heartland Meeting 3/21/24

Have you heard the famous story about the temple lot stones?

Please join us to hear a presentation by Randy Sheldon from the Church of Christ, Temple Lot congregation. Randy will present what is known about this story regarding the temple lot stones at the Independence Heartland meeting on Thursday March 21st, 2024.

Many years ago runners were sent by different Native American tribes to deposit stones at the sacred temple lot site located in Independence Missouri.

You will hear how this came about and details regarding this story. It is a miraculous story you will want to hear!

Randy will also present the pertinence of the stone placed by Joseph Smith Jr. at the temple lot.

Everyone is welcome!

Prepare and Enrich Class 06 April 2024

Prepare and Enrich Class 06 April 2024

image1 7

Prepare and Enrich is a tremendous system for a counselor to work with couples regarding Pre-marriage
or Marriage. I have been using this system for over 25 years.

It is mainly a facilitator program meaning you follow the instructions on each page when talking to the
couple. You will be able to add your own wisdom or choose not to.

The couple is charged a fee of $35. They then answer some background questions followed by 170
multiple choice questions about themselves and their relationship. This is all done on the web.

We get back a report that is around 20 pages about the couple. The report is designed to generate a lot
of conversation plus some new insights. The training will help you to use the report to guide and bless
the couple.

See the attached bulletin for details about time and place.
The cost is $82 for material which you must have to be accredited. You will also receive a free $35
coupon to pay for your first couple. You will also have access to their facilitator web site that will have a
lot of helpful continued education.

This class can also be attended by people that are already accredited but want to review and ask
questions at no cost.

We recommend the training be done by husband/wife couples who will share the training material.
My hope is that every congregation will have someone trained and able to use the system when needed.
You may ask further questions by email to jimbailey2001@aol.com.

We will provide a simple lunch for a donation.
You must register by 3/22 with full payment of $82 if not already accredited. Send Check to Jim Bailey
1813 S Lake Dr., Independence, MO 64055.
