193 years ago, a book was published in the United States that has perhaps become one of the most widely read and distributed books ever published in America. You probably might not guess that this book is the “Book of Mormon”. Contrary to many popular assumptions, the Book of Mormon is not a book about Mormons or about the Mormon Churches. Instead, it is a book about a specific set of covenants that God has made with mankind. Because it, like the Bible, is the story of a people’s journey with God, the spiritual truths found in it are universal and touch both sinner and saint with the warmth of God’s Holy Spirit and even greater understandings about how we can become effective citizens in God’s Kingdom. Although the Bible came to mankind through the avenue of the Catholic Church; many denominations accept the Bible as the Word of God. The scriptural insights and blessings of the Bible speak a universal language that ministers to all Christians. In like manner, the Book of Mormon came to the world through the avenue of the Restoration Movement, led by Joseph Smith Jr. There are spiritual insights and blessings that come to all Christians who prayerfully read the testimony contained in the Book of Mormon. Non-Christians have a hard time believing that the true Word of God, Scripture, can be found written in the Bible. But those who have entered the discipline of reading the Bible testify that a wonderful spirit of conformation resonates in their hearts bringing them to the same conviction that fell upon Simon Peter — that Jesus is truly the Christ, the Son of the Living God. Christians, not acquainted with the Book of Mormon, have a hard time believing that the true Word of God, Scripture, can be found written in its pages. But those who have entered the discipline of reading the Book of Mormon for themselves, millions have, testify that a powerful spirit of confirmation descends upon their hearts to bring another witness that Jesus Christ, is truly the Son of God and that He was sent to be the Savior of all mankind.
A rare opportunity can present itself to all believers in the Book of Mormon as well as the local residents. Everyone is invited to attend to hear presentations and affirmations about this remarkable book. Speakers from a variety of backgrounds will be sharing their understandings and appreciations of the book. It is truly uncommon to hear about the Book of Mormon itself, without the overlay of church organizations appealing for converts. But on this day, all speakers, from whatever fellowship they belong will only be sharing their common view of and belief in the Book of Mormon. This is the time to satisfy your curiosity about one of the most famous books ever published in America, the Book of Mormon.

Community of Christ International Peace Award 2023
I have received some comments after sending this post about the CofC Peace Award. I am sorry if you are offended by this post. I only posted it because I believe people should be informed as to what is going on in the world and church organizations. I am not saying that this is my belief or anything I would follow. It is only information to help you make wise decisions. I did not write this, but it was copied and pasted from the CofC statement.
God Bless,

2023 Conference of Restoration Elders Evaluation
Brothers,
I just returned from a 2 week mission trip in Maine, USA. What a blessing as we went from home to home and also ministered in the 2 branches there. What I found brothers was that the Saints are starving for ministry. We are in the process of searching for someone that can minister there full time, if not we are about to lose that state.
Saturday I received a wonderful report from Brother Jay Havener in Michigan that their conference went great and the "Saints in Michigan are ready to roll up their sleeves, get closer to Jesus and focus more fully on the Kingdom". What a wonderful encouraging testimony. It is my prayer that all of our Branches and regions can say the same thing.
We have our final registration numbers from conference. We had 189 priesthood registered from 7 countries representing 75 branches. Truly each of you made it a huge success! In my last email I requested you to take a few minutes and fill out the following survey. To date we have only received 11 responses. There are no names attached to it so when it comes in we do not know who responded. Please respond. It will be very helpful as we plan next year's conference. 2023 Conference of Restoration Elders Evaluation

Also, We are working on the next tidings, Please, if you have any testimonies or thoughts you would like to share with me on conference or if you would like to put something in the Tidings, please email me. It is my prayer that we all listen and respond so that we are able to not only walk circumspectly but diligently.
Next Week Elder Jerry Shiflett and I will be traveling to England to minister to the few saints there. Please keep us in your prayers. If there is ever anything that I can do to assist you in your ministry, please don't hesitate to let me know.
As a reminder our theme for this next year. It is taken from Luke 1:17, “Make ready a people prepared for the Lord”. We cannot do this if we are walking as men. So, press forward the Kingdom awaits. God bless us all.
Your fellow servant
