ZIONWORKS NEWS for AUGUST 7th, 2025
All are invited to this Zionic effort. It’s
not a private enterprise; it’s a gathering of individuals dedicated to
establishing and living in Christ’s Kingdom on the earth; gathered at His feet,
acting upon His love and His direction. “Zionworks” is just a name. The effort
of Zionworks is purely Zion and with a vision for its fullness.
In the Zionworks meeting’s opening prayers
these last few weeks, we have asked God to allow us to experience Zion during
the deliberations, exchange of ideas and planning. There have been some topics
that not all people see from the same perspective, to say the least, and which
could have caused agitation and anger. Instead, each person has had the freedom
of open expression without judgement from another person and the people have
chosen to conduct themselves “preferring their neighbor” so that discussions
and deliberations were very cordial and very wholesome and productive. All of
us have a lot to think and pray about after the meetings, yet our friendships
and respect are strengthened. Many stay and chat for an hour or more after
adjournment.
As we have reported many times, we have
experienced many spiritual blessings and some remarkable healings. We also have
been augmented in the exercise of the full range of both spiritual and physical
efforts, the two being inseparable when authentically applied to
Kingdom efforts; one is ineffective or non-existent without the other
in these efforts. The words themselves: “Zion”, “kingdom”, “Christ”, “Heaven on
earth”, etc. are filled to capacity with the Spirit and the Spirit cannot be
taken out of them. Our actions to make the Kingdom reality are predicated on
the prompting of the Spirit and our response to it, the spirit of Jesus Christ.
It is the Spirit that inspires us, and the joy of the Spirit that we enjoy when
planning and working together for the Kingdom. Do not let anyone dampen your
joy. All of us know that we fall short and need to come ever closer to our
Heavenly Father.
Now, let’s get back to the immediate needs
in Zion. Instead of re-printing it here, please look at the website, zionworks.org ,
and click on “overview”. There you will find a condensed or simplified
explanation of Zion’s origin and its purpose, based entirely on scripture. It
also contains scriptural references. In looking at this, we see the dire
present need to be prepared for the gathering of Christ’s elect. Many of us
will need to open our homes for those gathering. In addition, lands will need
to be converted or purchased for housing. Water, heat, housing, food, health
and sanitation will need to be provided for. Some will be destitute, barely
escaping torture, persecution and threat of death. Most of those gathering in
will want to “pull their own weight”, offering whatever experiences, resources
and skills they have for the benefit, well-being and success of the body. Many
of those gathering will arrive with their goods, resources and careers intact
and be ready to contribute to the overall success as soon as they arrive. It
will take time to get this sorted out and rolling smoothly. All will offer
their souls’ joy to be in this gathered condition. Joyous friendships that jump
cultural and linguistic hurdles will delight all of us.
Now, let us not forget that we were never
promised that this would be easy. We have seen from history and from the
scriptures that this effort will require all of our hearts, might, mind and
strength. It will challenge our endurance and even our faith. It will change
our outlooks. We will alienate friends, loved ones and many of our church
friends in our efforts for the Kingdom. We will make mistakes. We will have to
forgive and ask for forgiveness as we give our energies and futures to this
vital effort. We will have to stay focused on Jesus. Jesus and his spirit will
bond us together in maturity that we haven’t yet achieved and in his love so
powerful that it could only be broken by selfishness and rebellion. So yes, we
have two motives for the Zion project: one is that it has to be done as God has
given us the command to do; the other is the power of the Spirit and God’s love
that gives us the vision and desire to see the conditions of Zion.
Be prepared for this. Very many of those
gathering will probably be more serious, determined and faithful than we are to
make the Zion that is in their hearts and souls a reality right here. Please
meet with us as we work together for Jesus for his Kingdom. Pray that all of
His elect, from wherever they are, may be united in his love. We will see
eye-to-eye.
