Restoration News

Restoration News subscribers,

Brian Stuck has agreed to take over the responsibility of Restoration News. He would first like to offer a special thank you to Emiley for taking the time out of her busy life to continue this ministry after Garland. She was able to migrate the almost 1,000 subscriber email list to a new platform and figure out the technical challenges of doing this. With many life changes, she has continued to keep the ministry going for many months, but decided it was best to hand it off to someone else.

Brian Stuck is happy to take over this service to members of the Restoration. He is an Elder at South Crysler Restoration Branch and has lived in the Independence area for most of his life. If you would like to send an announcement, send it to the same email address as before - restorationews@gmail.com

LIVING IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD NOVEMBER 20, 2025

LIVING IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD NOVEMBER 20, 2025

Thank YOU, Heavenly father, for all the faithful Saints all around the world. Though most of them we do not know, we know that YOU know who each one is, where they are and what they go through every day in living in the Kingdom. You, O Lord, know our every thought, our every word, our every desire to be your people. You, O Lord, know every struggle we face every minute of the day. There is nothing that escapes your all seeing eyes, nor any sound that doesn’t enter your ear. There is not one thing we can hide from you, even if we wanted to hide something.

Therefore, may we always remember to be a thankful follower of Jesus Christ. Each of us could most likely take pen and paper and fill every line with things for which we should be thankful. Sometimes, we take things for granted, as if we deserved it or did it ourselves.

There is the story of a person who had a dream about Heaven. He was escorted by an angel. They came to a room so big it could not be measured. There were angels everywhere, each one very busy. The person asked what was going on. The angel said, this is the place where all the requests come in for God’s help and guidance.

They continued on and eventually came to a very small room, maybe 4 ft by 4ft. There was one angel on duty who was reading the Bible. The person asked the angel what was the purpose of this room The angel replied that this was the room where THANK YOU’S came in.

Whether it is necessary or not, we all feel good and smile when someone says Thank you for something we have done for them. So it is with God. Don’t just make Thanksgiving a one day a year part of your life. Take time and be sure to thank God for the multitude of blessings He bestows on us 24/7 365.

We can’t repeat often enough I Thessalonians 5:18

In everything

give thanks;

for this is

the will of God

in Christ Jesus

concerning you”.

Teach it and stress it to all you know or meet. By this we realize that God’s Hand is in everything that happens in our lives. GIVE THANKS WITH A GRATEFUL HEART.

God bless

Paul Gage

LIVING IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD NOVEMBER 13, 2025

LIVING IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD NOVEMBER 13, 2025

Thanksgiving greetings and blessings to God’s lovely Saints all around the earth,

As the THANKSGIVING time is upon us, 2025 continues to slip away. We are told to “Give thanks with a grateful heart.” It is said that a “grateful heart” is one that is preparing the way for the Lord. One person said the following prayer, “Dear Lord, I want to glorify you in all I do. I do not want to take your steadfast love and loving kindness for granted. I want to constantly offer sacrifices of thanksgiving and praise to you, in the ups and downs, in the good times and the bad. Please help me develop a consistently thankful and grateful heart. Please cause my heart to overflow with gratitude and thankfulness from morning till night. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

A great prayer for those living in the Kingdom of God. I Thessalonians 5:15-24 also is very good counsel for those living in the Kingdom, preparing for Zion and the Lord’s return.

5:15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man, but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves and to all men. 16 Rejoice evermore. 17 Pray without ceasing.

18 In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God

in Christ Jesus concerning you.

19 Quench not the Spirit. 20 Despise not prophesyings. 21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. 22 Abstain from all appearance of evil. 23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit, and soul, and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

If you want a little Thanksgiving study assignment, find and write down at least two scriptures dealing with thanksgiving in the Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants and the hymnal.

God bless you,

Paul Gage
