ZionWorks New’s June 30, 2022

THE LABORER IN ZION SHALL LABOR FOR ZION… 2 Nephi 11:109

Hello Saints,

Is Zion the ultimate goal of the restoration? Are we instructed to be ready for prophesied calamities? Consider these scriptures: “Prepare ye, prepare ye for that which is to come… D&C 1:3b: cities left empty or desolate / population reduction… D&C 5:3g, 2 N 8:79, 3N8:79, 3N10:11; Repeat of history/ ”For behold, they do study at this time that they may destroy the liberty of thy people, (For thus sayeth the Lord,) which is contrary to the statutes, and judgments, and commandments which He has given unto His People.” Alma 6:22

In obeying the Lord to prepare for the coming calamities on our nation and the world, we look to the scriptures, and we look at current events and developments. The similarities are not mere coincidences – they verify each-others’ actualities. As these prophesied events draw near and take place, we realize more clearly that each of us, as individuals, must take personal responsibility to be prepared. We realize that we are responsible to our maker, and not group influence, for taking immediate responsibilities. You and I, despite the naysayers around us, must “be prepared in all things against the day when tribulation and desolation are sent forth.”

To provide a place of safety and refuge and all of the physical needs for survival in coming days, hands on work is necessary. The spiritually motivated know the physical efforts and cooperation of skills needed for living after our current socio-economic structure collapses. God wants us preserved and united as His people. He has given us ample warning, signs and instructions.

ZionWorks is a growing group of saints dedicated to all aspects of Christ gospel and committed to making Zionic conditions a physical reality. This requires a different lifestyle than most of us have been living. The Zion building lifestyle is one of total dedication, it requires hard, focused work. One cannot wait for his or her circle of friends and influencers to show approval or set examples.

The job at hand needs volunteers with love, skills and determination. Zion will be a physical place, described as a city. As a city, it will, of course, need homes, water, foods, sanitation, heat roads and streets, farmers, doctors, carpenters, teachers, medical practitioners, coordinators, spiritual leaders and all of the trades, occupations, industries and careers that make a community a community, that through cooperation and righteous governance, thrives. The immediate urgency, though, is surviving what appears to be the eminent collapse of our sources of food, water and medical aid. ZionWorks is working for each of these vital needs and more, including the starting stages of cooperative farming. It is also working to provide a functioning society of saints. Please investigate from the source for yourself and join in the ultimate goal of the restoration.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
· ZionWorks will NOT meet this coming Sunday July 3rd. We will resume meeting on July 10th. Please note the change of place. Bates City Restoration Branch 728 E. Old Hwy 40. At 2:00pm

LIVING IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD JUNE 30, 2022

LIVING IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD JUNE 30, 2022

Blessed be the Name of the Most High God and His blessings to all the Saints of the Most High God,

Today, 2022 is half gone. We can assume that most, if not all, the turmoil, tragedies, confusion and turning away from God will continue. We should be keeping a close watch on the things happening in the world, to be aware of the “signs of the time.” I have some signs in my yard and on my van which might be indicators of the dispensation we are now living in.

“One Nation Under God.” Many would question such a statement these days, because it seems America and the Western world have turned away from God. As we strive to live a Kingdom life, what do others see in us? If we have signs in our yards, on our vehicles, or on our persons, people will expect us to “live up to” what we advertise. Leviticus 25 speaks to the concept of “Liberty” as it relates to obedience to God’s laws and commandments. Part of verse 10 is engraved on the Liberty Bell, a national symbol of freedom.

“Jesus is the Reason for the Season.” Generally we hear this phrase mostly around Christmas time, but it must be applicable to us all the time. Since Jesus is the “author and finisher of our faith, Hebrews 12:2, He then must be the reason for all the seasons, especially since He created all the seasons in their due time. That includes seasons of joy, sadness, feast, famine, life and death etc. How do we portray Jesus in our life when things are not going too well?

“We Believe This City Believes in God.” A city, in and of itself cannot really “show a belief.” It again comes back to the inhabitants of the city. How can or does a person show their belief in God in a way that would reflect that the “city” believes in God? Are we, as Saints, and believers in Zion reflecting Zionic ideals?

“Jesus Came into the World to Save Sinners.” Do we live a life that easily depicts that Jesus is our Savior? Do we “go with the flow” or do we “Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus?” Are we ready, as we are counseled in I Peter 3:15, “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts; and be ready always to give an answer with meekness and fear to every man that asketh of you a reason for the hope that is in you;

A quote from Daily Bread, 1970, entitled “In the Presence of Christ.” “If we make a habit of experiencing His Presence often we will find that His Way of life, His Spirit, will become a part of ours.”

God be with you

CPR Meeting July 9, 2022

 From: B S TURNER Owner

bturner12@centurylink.net

CPR Meeting July 9, 2022

To the faithful Priesthood of the Restoration Branches / Groups

I am writing to remind you about our July 9th 2022 meeting that will be held at:
Farview Restoration Branch Church
11404 E 24 Street S
Independence MO 64052

We will start the day with a period of Prayer and Testimony followed by classes.
Agenda:

9 a.m. – 10 a.m. Prayer & Testimony – Praying for our People and our Nation.
10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Class 1
11:35 – 1:00 p.m. Class 2

When we come together we are incredibly blessed by the Spirit and many have borne testimony to that fact! I believe it is because we come truly seeking a common understanding of the scripture.

1 Corinthians 14:26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

There is a real need within the Priesthood body to understand the Pure Gospel in relationship to the Latter Day events and learn of the meat of the Gospel – for it is up to us to be the watchman and make sure that the wolves do not enter in.

Ezekiel 3:17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. Today, more than ever, we need to be the watchman of Zion and the surrounding areas. None are perfect but we are working out our salvation every day.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Men of the Priesthood, we would enjoy the opportunity to have you share with us. If you have a subject that you would like to share please let me know! Also we may have handouts etc. that we can send you if you are interested.

Yours in Christ
Brian Turner

“Restoration History an Honest Look”

The last 200 years of the restoration movement have been filled with crazy things. We have been blessed with ancient records, heavenly visitors, prophecy, and revelation. Perhaps there are questions you have but have not asked. Or maybe the answers weren’t sufficient. We may not have all the answers but we will tackle and discuss a number of topics, some of which are known but not often mentioned. It’s a work in progress. Join us on the journey.

Request for Cassette Tapes

 From: Judith Hawley

Request for Cassette Tapes

I am very interested in obtaining cassette tapes made of Ron Turner’s classes.

Also any printed notes that may have been handed out during that class.

Does anyone have a full set of the 1989 Buckner Reunion book of cassettes, in which Ron Turner taught a class? And if you do, do you have the printed handouts he gave out during that class?

Does anyone else have cassette or CD’s of scripture classes taught by Restorationists that you are no longer needing or wanting to keep?

My thanks for any help on this matter.

LIVING IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD JUNE 23, 2022

LIVING IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD JUNE 23, 2022

Hello Dear Saints,

We have officially passed the first day of summer, June 21. I hope and pray that each of you is doing very well in you daily living in God’s Kingdom. Certainly, we all know and experience those daily “struggles,’ as we endeavor to “live in the Kingdom,..” Those those “little” things that seek to disrupt our daily walk with the Lord. They are nothing new, as each one from the Garden has had to deal with that daily struggle. Adam had to go out and work by the sweat of his brow. Noah preached 120 years and only eight were saved. Have you ever thought about how Noah and Mrs. Noah must have felt when God closed the door of the Ark? They had children that were on the outside.

There is a general overall concern among the Saints for our children and the youth of the church. Why? Because of the daily obstacles that seem to get in our path and try to detour us way from or even out of the Kingdom. This week at the Conference of Restoration Elders (CRE) and Pastors of Zion (POZ) reunion in Independence, Missouri the theme has been: “Take Upon You the Name of Christ and Run the Race.” This leads to logical questions: Have I, we, taken upon us the Name of Christ? If so, how is it, or is it, “showing itself” in our interaction with others, especially within our families and the household of faith? No activity whether it be a reunion, camp, retreat, Sunday services or Wednesday prayer services will accomplish much if we go home and stay in our own “world.”

A good elder in Turley, Oklahoma, just five north of Tulsa, Oklahoma never went to reunion. When someone asked him why, he said,.. “Those who go to reunion say they have a great time and had so many wonderful services, but come home and nothing changes.” We may all be guilty of that, to some extent, but it should cause each of us to stop and think about his answer. We should be able to have those experiences of spiritual growth and live the results.

No one enters a race to lose. Rather, they practice and go through all kinds of preparation in order to win. We are hoping to be in the reality of God’s Kingdom some day, but are we practicing (living) those things that will ensure the victory? What do people see in us as we go forth into our activities each day?

Philippians 1:2 Grace be unto you and peace, from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
4 Always in every prayer of mine, for the steadfastness of you all, making request with joy,
5 For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now,
6 Being confident of this very thing: that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ,
7 Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my bonds and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel ye all are partakers of my grace.
8 For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.
9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment,
10 That ye may approve things that are excellent, that ye may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ,
11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

Remember that God goes before, behind, and all around us.

Paul Gage
