LIVING IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD JANUARY 22, 2026

LIVING IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD JANUARY 22, 2026

Best wishes to the beloved Saints around the world.

Time is fleeting and days getting longer

As the world turns, are you weaker or stronger

Each day is a test to see how, when and where

Our trust is in Jesus, the One who does care.

So as we go though every day, every hour

Remember that God is the source of our power

He has called us to serve Him, where ere we may be

To reflect His Great Light so that others can see.

That as His salt and light,

We are to share His story

Living in His Kingdom bright,

Bringing Him the Honor and Glory

That is our purpose for existing on this earth, to honor and glorify God in everything we do. We sing the well beloved hymn, “We’ve a story to tell,” with the additional verses, “We’ve a song to be sung,” ”We’ve a message to give,” and “We’ve a SAVIOR TO SHOW.” To whom are we to “tell, sing, give and show?” The nations of the world, beginning with our own nation, in our own state/province, city, neighborhood, and family.

When did you last share something about Jesus Christ outside your own family or at church? Pray for and look for opportunities to “Tell, sing, give and show” the message of salvation to whoever God sends your way. What did Jesus do during the forty days between His resurrection and

Ascension? Acts 1:1 “The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, 2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen, 3 To whom also he showed himself alive after his sufferings by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God,”

The following comes from a daily prayer book I have and read from each day.

“Dear Father, take my life, every day, into Thine own keeping.

Control my thoughts and feelings.

Direct all my energies. Instruct my mind. Sustain my will.

Take my hands and make them skillful to serve Thee.

Take my feet and make them swift to do Thy bidding.

Take my eyes and keep them fixed upon Thine everlasting beauty.

Take my mouth and make it eloquent in testimony to Thy love.

Make this day’s work a significant part of our lives

As we live in your Kingdom. Even so. Amen.

This prayer of submission to God is extremely vital to His Kingdom coming on earth as it is in Heaven.

God bless

Paul Gage

Give Back Hope International January Update

Give Back Hope International January Update

Dear Friends,

As we reflect on 2025, we are filled with gratitude for your faithful prayers and support. Because of your generosity, lives are being changed and hope restored:
  • Two youth have been sent to college
  • Two more await their acceptance letters
  • Five youth are enrolled in vocational school
  • Food, Clothing, Medical Care and Housing to 43 kids!
In a country where only 1% of Malawians attend college, these achievements are extraordinary! As Scripture reminds us, “The path of the righteous is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” (Proverbs 4:18, IV)

For the past five years, our children have been blessed with a safe, gated home. However, our lease ends December 31, 2026, and the property no longer meets the growing needs of our ministry.

We now face the urgent task of raising $50,000 to secure land and begin building a permanent, safe home for the children.

“Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.” (Proverbs 16:3, IV)

How you can help:
  • Give financially to support this permanent home
  • Pray with us for provision, wisdom, and guidance
  • Share this need with others in your congregation
Your support ensures that these children not only survive—but thrive, grow in faith, and have hope for the future.

With gratitude and prayers,

Penny Curtis

LIVING IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD JANUARY 15, 2026

LIVING IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD JANUARY 15, 2026

New year greetings and blessings to all God’s people around the globe,

We all should have our new year up and running as we are half way through January.

Did you make any “Resolutions” for this year? If so, how are you doing with them? If not, like a line in one of our hymns state, “Tis neer too late, while life shall last, a new life to begin.” Resolutions and even repentance are only as good as our hearts desire is for them to be successful. Many times we slack off or falter completely because we try to do things in our own strength and power.

A good reminder for us is found in Doctrine and Covenants 2:1-2b

1a The works, and the designs, and the purposes of God cannot be frustrated; neither can they come to naught, for God doth not walk in crooked paths; 1b neither doth he turn to the right hand nor to the left; 1c neither doth he vary from that which he hath said; therefore, his paths are straight, and his course is one eternal round.
2a Remember, remember, that it is not the work of God that is frustrated, but the work of men;
2b for although a man may have many revelations and have power to do many mighty works, yet, if he boast in his own strength, and sets at naught the counsels of God, and follows after the dictates of his own will and carnal desires, he must fall and incur the vengeance of a just God upon him.”

What we see in the world, our own countries, Christianity, the Restoration as a whole, and Restoration Branches is conflict, turmoil, confusion, contention, separation, and mistrust. These plus many other similar words we could have used are not characteristics of God’s Kingdom. They are characteristics of the adversary and have been since the war in Heaven and the Garden of Eden. A song by the Kingston Trio in 1959 said it then and it still echoes today.

They're rioting in Africa They're starving in Spain
There's hurricanes in Florida And Texas needs rain

The whole world is festering With unhappy souls
The French hate the Germans The Germans hate the Poles
Italians hate Yugoslavs South Africans hate the Dutch
……….And I don't like anybody very much …………………………………………….

But we shall be thankful and tranquil and proud
………..For man's been endowed with a mushroom-shaped cloud …………………...
And we know for certain that some lovely day
Someone will set the spark off and we will all be blown away

They're rioting in Africa There's strife in Iran
What nature doesn't do to us Will be done by our fellow man

Examples are found throughout all the scriptures. Make your own list of at least five examples in scripture, Church History or current events where the meaning of the song is illustrated. When we choose our way, instead of God’s Way, the result is disaster. So what are we going to do in 2026? As we examine ourselves, will we really be an integral part of the Kingdom of God when it comes to earth? The time to search for an answer is NOW. We may not have another breath.

God bless

Paul Gage

I have a challenge for you! I need your help in finding any references to a statement I have heard over the years that 'the office of member (in good standing) is the highest office'. If anyone could provide any references and especially who said it, it would be greatly appreciated. May have been Joseph Smith III. Wanting to find out if the statement is true or if it's been misquoted or misunderstood.

Quarterly Elders' Meeting - Feb. 7, 2026

Quarterly Elders' Meeting - Feb. 7, 2026

Conference of Restoration Elders

Doctrine and Covenants 17:13 instructs the elders of the church to meet once in three months.

The quarterly elders' meetings are for the purpose of discussing issues facing us as a church and what we can do to better magnify our callings. The meetings are not for the purpose of legislation but only for discussion and collaboration.

We begin each meeting by worshiping our Heavenly Father. Then we spend time discussing the topic at hand.

In our previous meetings we have discussed the Inspired Version of the Bible and Doctrine and Covenants and Zion. The recordings of past meetings are available on the Elders' Conference website. https://www.eldersconference.org/events

The Spirit has been with us as we met with love towards God and each other.

All Melchizedek men are invited to attend. The next meeting will be on February 7th, 8:30am to 12:00 at Outreach Restoration Branch.

If there is an issue that you would like to have discussed, feel free to reach out to:
