Should We Speak Truth in Restoration Church?

Dear Saints,

The initiative to challenge the members and priesthood of the Restoration Branches to speak the truth about the sins that are permeating our culture and effecting our families and children has gone out. Now, the priesthood and branches are considering how they will respond.

This video is an example of a priest who knew what to say -- and the backlash he got from those above him. Let's not let this happen. I hope we will be like him. Be bold, Be true. Be loving -- and loving means to speak truth and bring those lost to repentance by not being afraid. Truth and following God's will for their life is the only thing that will make a person happy in the end.

There are saints who are asking who has answered the call to proclaim truth in their branches. They are looking for branches that want to speak truth and will do so unafraid.

If your PH has made any kind of proclamation on the truths of marriage and sexuality, please contact Holly McLean so their questions can be answered.

You can do so by email --

ZIONWORKS NEWS for NOVEMBER 4 2022

ZIONWORKS NEWS for NOVEMBER 4 2022

GOD’S DIRECTIONS FOR LIVING IN ZION

INTERESTING AND VITAL

First, this newsletter may seem lengthy, but the information in it is both extremely interesting and vital for all saints to hear. Zion has always been God’s ultimate goal for the restoration and all of those He calls His people. The Old Testament, the New Testament and the Book of Mormon contain promises of Zion, examples of Zion and prophecies even defining the times and conditions in the world and among people when Zion will become a physical reality as well as spiritual. The Doctrine and Covenants not only contains similar and concurring information, but also specific instructions for His people on establishing and living in Zion—how we are to consecrate our properties to the church, share resources equitably, live industriously, meet each others’ needs and live in loving community by celestial principles. Dedicated saints are ready and eager to enjoy the fellowship, fulfillment and excitement of living in Zionic cooperation, ready to commit all for the benefit of living safely in the Kingdom. They know it will require all of their hopes, all of their energy and a new life-style. These goals are shared by all dedicated saints. And we know that God does not give us a task that He has not already prepared the way for us to accomplish! It’s simply the next step. COURAGE is perhaps the missing element for stepping through the barrier or across the threshold into obedient Zionic living. Courage is very personal. It includes a personal commitment and determination to follow a course despite influences that discourage or attempt to prevent us from engaging in our best calling.

In support of the above, here’s an important event that took place at the last (Oct 30th) Zionworks meeting. Though all of us voiced the difficulties in getting over misunderstandings among people, including ourselves (A VERY DIFFICULT AND DAUNTING PROSPECT), we nevertheless covenanted with each other in solemn prayer to love and uphold each other in our mutual commitment to Zion, to pray continuously to understand how to see each other the way God wants us see each other and to learn to live by celestial principles. As a small attendance of individuals and families, we solemnized a commitment of all of our souls and personal stewardships to each other under God’s will and directions. This act of TOTAL CONSECRATION was formalized by the prayer of a man who may be the best known high priest in the restoration. By the way, all saints are called to join in this type of endeavor and become one under God. This endeavor is not the sole or private effort of a small group; it is for all to find hope, vitality, fulfillment and support in.

Despite naysaying and treachery, there are these sound things to rely on in moving forward: God’s instructions through scripture, the fulfilling of prophesy identifying current national and world events as signs that this is the time in which to establish THE place of safety and refuge, the power of the Holy Spirit directing us, and our commitment to commit all for Zion’s conditions in reality. Here’s what has been accomplished, so far, in Zionworks’ endeavors (which is actually miniscule compared to what must be done for the whole scope of the Kingdom): There is a committee for seeing that each participating saint will have ample safe water, a committee for seeing that each household will be able to dispose of all waste ecologically to prevent disease, there is an on-going food preservation activity, there is an alternative energy leader and laboratory. The entire organization is presently functioning as the food committee. There is a storehouse effort. There is a building system of independent and equitable exchange. We have had work days when we spend a day helping people that need help. There are helps and guides in developing and operating practical personal and group survival. There is the yielding to God’s “big picture” of Zion as he reveals it. The work that lies ahead is huge and invites all of God’s people. What less than Zion does God ask of us?

If you have not received a copy of the Preparedness Guide, an excellent scriptural and instructional guide to saintly living in present and coming times, email zionworkz@protonmail.com or call 816-690-8464.

Something that should be reported is that in prayer asking God what the agenda should be for last week’s meeting, I received only one word, “Nurture.” I prepared an agenda anyway, because there were so many vital items that needed to be acted on. However, at the meeting there was more sincere, candid and deep sharing of souls than I have ever experienced in any meeting before, leading up to the group commitment experience. We ended the meeting at the end of that commitment prayer, without pursuing any of the agenda, including selecting a time and place for the next meeting.

Because we did not select or announce the next meeting and because my computer was inoperative this week until mid-morning Thursday, plus the extra hours of a demanding work week, it’s probably too late in the week to announce time, place and agenda for this coming Sunday’s meeting. So we will call off the Zionworks meeting for November 6th. I will let all of you know by Monday where November 13th’s meeting will be. Please be praying for it so we can be of maximum benefit for Christ and the Kingdom.

Anyone that would like to share ideas or ask questions in the meantime please call 816-690-8464, 816-694-2284 or email zionworkz@protonmail.com or yyeoman@protonmail.com

Your brother in Christ,

CPR Meeting November 5, 2022

CPR Meeting November 5, 2022

Good Morning all - I am attaching the November announcement for the CPR (Concerned Priesthood of the Restoration) Teaching November 5th at the Farview Restoration Branch. Please pass this along as you see fit.

To the faithful Priesthood of the Restoration Branches / Groups

I am writing to remind you about our November 5th 2022 meeting that will be held at Farview Restoration Branch Church, 11404 E 24th St S, Independence, MO 64052

We will start the day with a period of Prayer & Testimony followed by classes.
Agenda:
9 a.m. – 10 a.m. Prayer & Testimony – Praying for our People and our Nation.
10 a.m. – 11:30 Class 1 –

11:35 – 1:00 p.m. Class 2 –

When we come together we are incredibly blessed by the Spirit and many have borne testimony to that fact! I believe it is because we come truly seeking a common understanding of the scripture.

1 Corinthians 14:26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

There is a real need within the Priesthood body to understand the Pure Gospel in relationship to the Latter Day events and learn of the meat of the Gospel – for it is up to us to be the watchman and make sure that the wolves do not enter in.

Ezekiel 3:17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. Today, more than ever, we need to be the watchman of Zion and the surrounding areas. None are perfect but we are working out our salvation every day.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Men of the Priesthood, we would enjoy the opportunity to have you share with us. If you have a subject that you would like to share please let me know! Also we may have handouts etc. that we can send you if you are interested.

Yours in Christ
Brian
