Disturbing Dream

 Disturbing Dream

This past Sunday morning (early on October 22, 2023), I was awakened very early to a disturbing dream. There was commotion everywhere. Phones did not work. People were running from threats coming from every direction it seemed. They couldn't seem to get food or water, which was not the greatest of their immediate worries.
Although I tried to go back to sleep, it was difficult. I finally got up to these words from the still small voice of the Lord: "The armies of the enemy are crossing the border by the thousands every day." I kept hearing this message quietly but firmly throughout the day.
Still I tried to stay focused on things I needed to get done over the weekend. But the warning kept coming.
I had recently seen a few videos of many illegal aliens coming across our southern border daily and wondered what was new about this impress of the Spirit of the Lord. Still the message persisted.
Sometime in the afternoon when asking what I was to do with this impress, I was told I was being called as a watchman to communicate the warning I was being told.
Sometime after supper, I asked what was the particular threat. I was told, Hezbollah. And that they will be very destructive here in this land.
In mid 2022, when asking about my work situation and concerns I had about making particular plans for the rest of the year, I was told that many of the judgments I had been shown since late 1989 would take place in 2024, and it would be okay to go forward with my work plans for the second half of 2022 as well as on into much of 2023.
Given the impress, and the soberness with which it was given to me all day Sunday, I would encourage each one to remember the following scripture: Luke 21
It's my understanding that during the next year, from now until next November, we will see a lot of changes in the world around us, especially in our country.
I want you to know I love you in Christ Jesus, and I pray God's rich blessings will be upon you to preserve you in the faith of Jesus Christ as we pass through this troubling time.

LIVING IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD OCTOBER 26, 2023

LIVING IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD OCTOBER 26, 2023

Greetings Dear Saints with some of the final words of Amaleki as found in Omni 1:46-47,

46 “And now, my beloved brethren, I would that ye should come unto Christ, who is the Holy One of Israel, and partake of his salvation and the power of his redemption. 47 Yea, come unto him, and offer your whole souls as an offering unto him, and continue in fasting and praying, and endure to the end; and as the Lord liveth, ye will be saved.”

Keeping in mind that we find in Doctrine and Covenants 85:4a that the body and the spirit equals the soul. So if we offer our “whole soul” we are offering our body and spirit. That, of course, correlates to the First Great Commandment, which is _________________________________________________________.

The two great commandments are so important that they are mentioned in Matthew 22; Mark 12 and Luke 10. Did you also know these commandments or slight variations are found in Deuteronomy 6:5,6; 11:13; 13:3,4; 30:6, Joshua 22:5; I Samuel 12:20; 2 Chronicles 34:31, and Doctrine and Covenants 59:2? Coincidence? God does not work that way.

Why did God repeat them so many times? Each of us must answer that for ourselves. We might say, they were for different groups of God’s people and in different time periods. We could also say that God’s people were and are sometimes rebellious, slow to hear and slow to respond.

Most, if not all members of the Church can quote Doctrine and Covenants 140:5c “The work of preparation and the perfection of my Saints go forward slowly, and _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________.

Did you notice similar wording in the message from Kirtland in 2022? Look at page two, paragraph six, last line. Write it in here ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________.

One year and almost one month has now gone past. What will we do as individuals and a people in the next eleven months to be ready? We each need to examine our own life and seek God’s direction as to how we need to be ready. Another thing to keep in mind is what if we are called home before the eleven months elapses? When God calls us home, our time on earth is over and there are no more chances to “redeem ourselves” in the flesh. We cannot wait on someone else, even in our own families, but must do the very best we can to be permitted to go into the Wedding Feast.

We must not allow anything to be a hindrance or barrier to our everyday living in the Kingdom of God.

God bless,

Paul Gage

Lord's Supper/Sacrament Preparation

Lord's Supper/Sacrament Preparation

Hello Fellow Saints,

“…See that ye not partake of the sacrament of Christ unworthily; but see that ye do all things in worthiness.” ~Mormon 4:95

“Behold, he who has repented of his sins, the same is forgiven; and I, the Lord, will remember them no more....if a man repententh of his sins: Behold, he will confess them and forsake them.” ~D&C 58:9c,d

“And the church did meet together oft to fast, and to pray…and they did meet together oft to partake of bread and wine in remembrance of the Lord Jesus. And they were strict to observe that there should be no iniquity among them.” ~Moroni 6:6-7

For a little while now it has been put upon my heart to go into a deep preparation before partaking of the Lord’s Supper again. We all know that this is a most sacred ordinance that is not to be taken lightly and that we need to come before His table fully prepared and worthy. We should not go to church that morning, “repent” of our sins at the door and believe that we are worthy to partake in sacrament.

“Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh condemnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.” ~1st Corinthians 11: 27-29

We need to prepare ourselves daily until the next time we partake in sacrament. For many, that means the regularity of it being on the first Sunday of each month. This gives us more than ample time to be ready to come prepared to come before the Lord in full purpose of heart. However, it also gives us ample time to sin and fall into much foolishness, especially if we under the false belief that we can simply “repent” of our sins the morning of, leaving them outside the doors of the sanctuary and picking them up again after we leave.

We must not take this ordinance lightly and if we have in the past, it is now a time for us to be truly repentful and take action to make sure that we are sufficiently prepared before we partake again.

I have started a Facebook group and am inviting all who are on Facebook and want to join in, to click on the below link (attached closer to the end of this e-mail). It will be ten days of preparation, with the tenth day actually being the day that most will have the opportunity to partake in communion. It is left up to the dictates of your own conscience on how much to you want to follow the guidelines and how much you may want to participate.

My husband, Todd Lavigne has helped immensely in choosing many scriptures to go along with each day leading up to communion. Priest Lloyd Mahoney, from Canada, and Priest Robert Willoughby from England will actively participate in the group to help us each be more sufficiently prepared to partake. Both of these gentlemen, have often felt the pains that come with being so isolated and they understand the importance and significance of sacrament. The group is open to all members, including priesthood (there are others on there!) and anyone is free to share, discuss, etcetera in the group. For anyone who is not on Facebook and would like to the daily Scriptures shared, songs, etcetera, feel free to send me your e-mail and I will send them out daily. My e-mail is: Crystalx5@outlook.com
Here is the link to the Facebook group for anyone who would like to join:

The following is the guidelines for the group. Again, it is up to you to decide your level of participation.

ISRAEL’S MISSION

Here is a clearly written article by Michael Laitman about Israel’s identity and mission. It looks to be the exact same mission for what we term “Latter Day Israel” and even God’s purpose for the United States. What the Lord says unto one, He says unto all.

Unifying Israel: A Call to Action for a Better Future

Unifying Israel: A Call to Action for a Better Future

The world has again turned its attention toward the tiny Jewish state. Celebrities, journalists and world leaders are among a legion of people expressing their sympathy and standing by Israel’s side. Iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower in Paris are bathed in the colors of the Israeli flag.

History, however, clearly shows that support for Israel can fade in an instant.

The people of Israel are meant to shine, to be “a light unto the nations,” and set an example for other nations. It is not by chance that it is a nation renowned for its innovativeness. The pioneering spirit of the Jewish people is due to a deeper potential that they possess, the ability to create a model society where unity prevails over intense division.

Such a unified spirit formed the people of Israel to begin with, i.e., people from all walks of life in ancient Babylon who applied Abraham’s method and attained a higher unified level of consciousness—namely “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

A faint glimmer of unity now seems to surface after heavy blows. But if slander and divisive pride return, the people of Israel risk losing the world’s admiration.

In my book, The Jewish Choice: Unity or Anti-Semitism, I showed a historically-recurring pattern of attitudes among the Jewish people, and toward them from other nations: When the people of Israel let divisions drive them apart, they invite tragedies upon themselves; and when they unite, they prosper.

A Hamas member who participated in the terror attacks on October 7 revealed how the ongoing demonstrations in Israel encouraged Hamas during their year-long preparations for the attack. The intensely divisive atmosphere among the people of Israel throughout 2023 ended up exploding into what has already become widely known as the darkest day in Jewish history since the Holocaust.

Then, after the tragic events on October 7, the people of Israel experienced a collective heartbreak and melting, and they regrouped in a new climate of mutual concern and support.

We need to view today’s unfolding of events as another painful reminder that division does the people of Israel no good. It is not what the world wants from them, and it emboldens those who seek to harm them.

Subconsciously, the world wants a united people of Israel. As Rav Abraham Isaac Kook wrote, when the hearts of the people of Israel unite, “all the world’s civilizations will be renewed through the renewal of our spirit, all opinions will align, all life will glisten with the joy of rebirth at our emergence, all beliefs will don new clothes” (Shmoneh Kvatzim, vol. 5, 64). Abraham’s blessing to all nations will manifest strongly and openly, spearheaded by the efforts of the people of Israel. As long as the people of Israel continually add to their unity above any kinds of divisions that surface among them herein, then it is certain that the world’s support for them will also continually rise.

“What I say unto one I say unto all, watch, for the adversary spreadeth his dominions and darkness reigneth; and the anger of the Lord kindleth against the inhabitants of the earth; and none doeth good, for all have gone out of the way.” D&C 81:1e

CALENDAR

NEXT WORK DAY: There a number of people needing help that can’t get it done by themselves. For some unexplainable reason, we always get more done on work days than seems possible and always have fun. Last Saturday, we did some landscaping, covered a greenhouse and neatly stacked a huge wood pile! Anyway, we haven’t picked which family we will be helping on the next work day, which will be Saturday, October 28th. It will be announced soon.
