FASTING, PRAYING, STUDYING AND LIVING FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD

JULY 15, 2021

Hello to all the Saints around the world,

We trust the Lord is blessing you and yours even n the continued midst of disease, affliction, and trials, as well as good things happening in your efforts to serve God. We sing the hymn, "Great is Thy Faithfulness, O God, My Father! There is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not, Thy compassions they fail not; As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be. The chorus reminds us that, "All I have needed Thy hand hath provided- Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me."

Our God is everything He ever said He was! AMEN!! Our reference, today, in light of our pathway to the Kingdom, is Doctrine and Covenants 85:36 b,

"Organize yourselves,

prepare every needful thing,

and establish a HOUSE,

 even a house of prayer,

 a house of fasting,

 a house of faith,

 a house of learning,

 a house of glory,

 a house of order,

A HOUSE OF GOD;"

To establish something means to institute something by enactment or agreement, to cause to grow and multiply, to make firm or stable, to bring into existence or to bring bout. Thus as we are able to establish the houses listed above, we draw nearer to God and closer to His Kingdom.

With the assurance that God is and will always be true to His promises, we then stand on those promises, establish these houses and thus a House of God. His house will be His Kingdom and we are promised a place with Him, if we endure to the end in obedience to His commandments.

Continue to look for the beautiful, look for the true, endure to the end and fulfill our covenant with God. As Psalm62 tells us, "My soul wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. Trust in Him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us."

God go with you,

Paul Gage
