Living In The Kingdom Of God August 22, 2024
Greetings to all faithful followers of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,
We continue to live in the kingdom of God and strive to fulfill the commandment of Jesus in Matthew 6:33 (6:38 Inspired Version). That commandment was seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness or seek ye first to build up the kingdom of God and establish his righteousness.
This seems to be a difficult task as we deal with all the changes taking place in society and even in Christianity, but really not unlike what people have experienced in every dispensation of time The anxiety many feel when we talk about living in the kingdom of God might be related to the fact that God’s kingdom is not fully found on earth yet. Jesus is the King and he is on his Throne, but many people do not realize it.
Of course, many scriptures could be mentioned regarding the return of Jesus Christ and his real Kingdom on this earth. One I will refer to is I Thessalonians 5. This chapter would be worth your review. Note verses 8 and 9 as well as verses 16-24. This is one scripture and example of how we, at this time, can experience kingdom living as we anticipate the return of Jesus. When He returns He will establish His Kingdom in its fullness.
Then the righteous in Christ can and likely will shout aloud,
“The Kingdom of God has come on earth as it is in Heaven.”
Amen and Amen!
Until then, may we all remain faithful to the cause of Christ, trust Him in and through all that is to come, and endure to the end. Then be eager to hear similar, if not identical words as found in Matthew 25:23 Inspired Version.
“His Lord said unto him,
Well done, good and faithful servant;
thou hast been faithful over a few things;
I will make thee ruler over many things;
enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”
God bless and keep you
