CALENDAR NEXT WORK DAY: There is an immediate need for a work day this coming Saturday, August 17th, in addition to the need for the scheduled meeting for this coming Sunday, the 18th. Our meeting place, provided by Central Branch, is in need of some cleaning, tidying up and possibly some minor repairs. Andy says it won’t take long, but will appreciate the helpers. NEXT MEETING: Sunday, August 18th at 2:00 PM at Central Branch, 919 S. Delaware, Independence. As you can see from the mission statement, there is much to be done to make the Kingdom a reality and we’re running out of time. As usual, this will be an excellent environment for friendship, fellowship and productive planning. All of Jesus’ friends are invited. If lunch scheduling is difficult to integrate with the meeting schedule, there is a friendly and practical solution – you are invited to join Central Branch for pot luck, starting around 12:20. No problem if you’re late. REMINDER If you are not prepared with water storage or a safe source of water, we can help. The same with food and the same with sanitation and other survival needs. “…every man that will not take up his sword against his neighbor must needs flee unto Zion for safety.
