WOULD LIKE TO BORROW OR RENT A TENT
We are having an outdoor wedding at our home Oct 24,2015. We are looking at purchasing two 10ft x 30ft wedding tents that are available many places. We were wondering if anyone else has purchased these or similar tents and if they would be willing to rent out or loan it for two or three days. If someone had a 20 ft x 30 ft that would work well. We need one with sides to protect people from the weather.
You may contact us at 816-650-6010 and leave a message or send us an email at afgatrost@hotmail.com
Thanks,
Archie and Sue Gatrost
May God be With You This Day.

More than 1,500 cities across the US and Canada are expected to participate on Sunday, October 4th. The Life Chain in Independence, MO led by Steve and Ellen Bishop will be from 2:00-3:30 p.m at the intersection of Noland and 24 Highway. Join fellow Christians from our community and across American as we take a stand and pray for an end to abortion. Signs will be provided, and you may park at the Women’s Clinic of Kansas City. Please see the article attached “Christians Should Attend the Local Life Chain: Seven Reasons Why”. If you have any questions, text or call me at
913-225-4029. I hope you can come!
In Christ,
Job Howen
If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.
If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain;
If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?
Proverbs 24:10-12
P.S. In 1996 at the age of 2 my sister, Elizabeth Howen, posed for a pro-life bill board located at the intersection of Truman and Noland in Independence which was sponsored by Devon Park Restoration Branch. We can all help to end abortion! If you can't come Sunday please make it a point to pray.
Thank you!

The Creator did not "correct" it for us this Shemitah...
Any thoughts about the following article, in particular the quote below:
http://themillenniumreport.com/2015/09/biblical-shemitah-jubilee-begins-on-92315-anything-goes-during-the-super-shemitah/
The Creator did not “correct” it for us this Shemitah….
Our debt to others, to our creditors, is STILL OUTSTANDING this Shemitah, and our ill-gotten gains via unjust debt were not balanced out by major losses as in the past….
Nor was the personal debt cleared at the end of the seven years, the populace as a whole is still in perpetual debt servitude this Shemitah, more than ever….
Understand, the Creator has not JUDGED us in the past seven-year cycles because He has CORRECTED it mathematically for us without us even really understanding what He was doing. The past Shemitah economic hits were mercy hits. They cleared our slate to an extent and balanced the scales enough to allow us to keep going.
Now, we stand with no real meaningful mathematical correction as this Shemitah has concluded, and now we can be JUDGED. A massive debt is still owed. The debt has not been cleared. It has not even truly been balanced out as it was at the end of prior Shemitahs. We are today guilty as a corporate people.
Does this mean we won’t see future economic hits?

Joey Edson - Update - Sept 26
Just got home from having Joey's wound vac 'installed'. It took about an hour to actually put it in. It was pretty 'intense'. He will have to have it changed out at least twice a week and after today, everyone involved realized that having Home Health do that isn't an option. So, they are going to try to make some kind of arrangement for us to do it in town. Hopefully the in between days will now be better at least. Once again, I can't say enough good things about the nurses involved in all of this. And yes, I literally did hug my nurse today.

Update on Joey Edson - Sept 26
Chris Edson
Update on Joey: Saw the oncologist today. VERY LONG story, made short--after much ado and paperwork behind the scenes designed to ruin the world, the WONDERFUL nurses that work for our two doctors have gotten things back to some semblance of sanity. Tomorrow, we are going to the hospital to have the wound vac installed. I really can't say enough good things about Dr. Tummala and his nurse, Stephanie, and Dr. Cavagnol and his nurse, Jill. They all bent over backwards to find windows and back doors to get this done because the ridiculous system is in such a crazy mixed up mess. As far as ongoing treatment goes, he had another treatment today and will continue for the time being to receive them. The hope is that now that a lot of the mass has been removed the treatments will be able to do more to slow down the disease. The other hope is that an additional treatment which is pending approval will become available. I'll post more after the installation to let everyone know how that goes.

AUSTRALIAN RESTORATION NEWS
Around and About the Centre Place by High Priest Paul J. Gage, Independence, MO.
Hello Dear Saints,
I trust the good Lord has been with you and blessed you every day, even though it may not have been as you
wanted it. Our Heavenly Father has a special way of doing things His own way and in His own due time. Our
challenge is to trust Him for all, knowing He will only do what is best for us. He knew Adam and Eve would eat
the forbidden fruit, but provided the principle of repentance to save their souls. There is never a "good time" to
turn away from the Lord.
As we "fall" into the Fall Season, many things will slow down some, due to weather, various activities of
families, etc. October is usually a beautiful month in regard to the changing of the tree leaves. Many people will
drive hundreds of miles to see the trees, but won't go two miles to church. The need for Zion has never been
greater! We each, only have to look into our own lives to see why Zion is not yet here.
The Conference of Restoration Elders (CRE) again sponsored the annual trip to Kirtland, Ohio. About 70
priesthood gathered at Kirtland on Sept. 19-20, 2015. Saturday, the 19th, started with registration, worship, and
classes at the Kirtland Restoration Branch during the morning hours. The afternoon was left open so those who
desired could tour the Temple or the other historic points of interest around Kirtland. Saturday evening, and
again Sunday morning, the men had the opportunity of worshiping in the Kirtland Temple. Saturday evening
was pure prayer and Sunday morning was pure testimonies. The classes dealt with the responsibility and
importance of priesthood and how each priesthood member can more effectively magnify the office to which he
has been called. A sad note was that both Patriarchs, Mike Ballantyne and Vernon Darling, had planned to
attend, but were not able to do so because of health problems. Please keep these brothers in your daily prayers.
The missionary work continues to be successful in Africa, Central America, and South East Asia and
Australia. A recent email from Brother Marciano Pamongcales "Jun" in Mindanao, the Philippines indicates
they have opened the work in the central island of the Philippines, the Visayans with three baptisms. Elder Bob
Schrunk and wife Sheila, Sylvia Powell, and Elder Ed Essig will be in Nepal and India in late September thru
mid October. Exciting things are happening in Canada as well. You can read about it in the next Tidings of
Zion, which was mailed on September 16, 2015. More missions are planned, from now thru December,in many
parts of the world.
God bless.

Tamworth News submitted by Sr. Bev.Wilkinson
Greetings from Tamworth.
Members met at 93 Glen Garvin Drive, the home of Deacon Roy and Sr.Daphne Schubert for family Worship,
Class Worship Service on Sunday 30th August 2015..Elder Peter and Sr. Helen Archer gave the family
Worship. Elder Peter welcomed us in the name of our precious Lord and Saviour and Sr. Helen read “Safety
with the Lord”. For our class we are studying “Translations of Joseph Smith, 6th Angel”. In the Worship
Service Bro Peter read form Mark 12:47-50 The widow’s mite who gave all to the Lord “Yea even all her
livings”. Peter said “the Lord has supplied everything we need, we owe him everything”. Bro Peter then read
1stTimothy 4:12 “Be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in purity”.
He said “Take heed we speak only the doctrine and principles of Christ”. Elder Peter admonished us to pray
always and read 2nd Nephi 14:12 “Ye must not perform anything unto the Lord, save in the first place ye shall
pray unto the Father in the name of Christ that he will consecrate thy performance unto thee, that thy
performance may be for the welfare of thy soul. Bro.Peter closed by saying “Put on the whole amour of God,
and pray always”.
Wednesday 16th September members met for Prayer Service, praying for all those on our prayer list. In our
testimonies we thanked our Lord for all our blessings and spoke of God’s goodness to us.
Jonathan Page Bro.Jonathan Page has a severe dislocation of his spine and requests prayers and to be put on
the Prayer List. Jonathan is waiting for more information from his Doctor about an operation.
Bob and I presented the Family Worship on Sunday 20th September, Bob welcomed us and gave the Opening
Prayer. I read “ He was born in a Manger, Died on the Cross, and Lives forevermore” by Sharon Warner.
Elder Peter presided over the Sacrament Service and said we have come here today to partake of the Sacrament.
We have come with one heart and one mind, in love and unity, humbly following in the footsteps of our Lord
who came to do the will of the Father. We are created beings, spiritually created before coming to earth and
created in God’s Image. We must be clean, because no unclean being can dwell in the presence of God. Peter
spoke on images. Do we see the image of Christ in our countenance? Elder Peter then served the Sacrament.
Congratulations and best wishes to Rachel Waters and John Todd who were married on Saturday 5th
September 2015 in Townsville.
And also to Sharon Edwards and Ivan Barbero who will be married on Friday 25th September 2015 in
Brisbane. We wish you all a blessed and happy life together.
We extend our Congratulations to Luke Scott and Bec Young on their Engagement and wish them a happy
engagement party on the 4th of October.

Newcastle News submitted by Sr Gianna Loyd
In August my sister & I were doing a few shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child to be sent to Fiji. They
are still recovering after the devastating cyclone earlier this year. It will be sure to brighten a few children's
faces at Christmas.
On Sundays in August we have been listening to s0ermons from Zions Outpost in Park City Kansas. We can
listen & feel that we are part of the service: lots of good preaching and our son, Priest Josh Loyd, had a couple
of sermons we have listened to and they were very encouraging. I do ask prayers for my parents Don & Nina, as
my father is in pain with a fracture in his hip, bursitis and has myelodysplasia; not producing enough red blood
cells. Till next time take care.

importance of priesthood and how each priesthood member can more effectively magnify the office to which he
has been called.

We will also have other people combining their things into this estate sale as well.
There should be something for everyone and if the weather is bad we will be in the chapel next to the mansion so people can still shop.

Survival Food Buckets
From: Sharon Toms
hondhereicome@yahoo.com
The 37 buckets sold out very quickly. I could have sold twice that many! Sorry to the many who e-mailed and called later. Last week I posted a site on my Facebook page that gives directions and sources for making your own buckets for about $20. Buckets can be bought at hardware stores. You can order the Mylar bags and oxygen packets online. They can be sealed using a household iron or seal-a-meal machine. Making your own allows you to customize it to your family's needs and likes.
http://www.southernplate.com/2014/10/diy-20-survival-food-bucket.html
I googled emergency food storage buckets and found the site listed there.
If anyone who ordered yesterday wants to go that route instead that is fine. A family, group of friends or branch could get together and make them.
I also highly recommend Kingsville Restoration Branch's Day in the Country next Saturday Oct. 3rd and the Mother Earth News Fair in Topeka, KS Oct. 24 & 25.
Praying we are all prepared spiritually and physically for what lies ahead.

My niece, Cathy Crump Simpson, of Seymour, Missouri, is having emergency surgery this morning to remove her gall bladder. Hopefully it can be removed labarascopy. Please remember her in mighty prayers as this was not a planned surgery and she has two children to support.
Thank you.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The name is CATHY CRUMP SIMPSON (Mrs. Brad Simpson). Cathy & Brad were
married last year. The children (Miranda is 15 yrs. old. Andrew is 10 yrs. old.)
Cathy was formerly married to Paul Purvis who is in prison for rape, for life.
The family needs many prayers from family & friends.
Thanks for all your prayers.
Bob Crump, my son-in-law called about Cathy and he told me that Cathy is going
to need more extensive surgery as the tests showed several stones in the gall
bladder, so Cathy will be kept over-night at the hospital. I didn't think to
ask which hospital she's in, but I'm assuming it is Cox South Hospital at
Springfield (MO.).

Brothers and Sisters,
Just a reminder about your testimonies from Santa Cali Gon from the Book of Mormon booth. I know that there are testimonies out there that you have from the weekend as some of you have shared them with me or others. Please write them down, no matter how small and simple you may think they are. (Alma 17:35 Now ye may suppose that this is foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things, are great things brought to pass;) Please email them to me by October 1 so that we can share these with everyone.

Hi. I am trying to find a good queen size bed, a car seat for a 10 month old girl and a stroller. If anyone has any of these items available free or for a very very low price, please let me know. The great-grandmother, (my sister Linda) is retired and is helping her grandson (23) raise the baby. They do not have a lot of money to spare. The grandson (the baby's father) is working, but they do need help. The circumstances are very difficult so, if you can help, please contact me at adkinsvicky@yahoo.com or call 833.1555

Home needed for two Cats
These cats are brothers and are about 9 years old. The black and white one is Sammy and the orange and white one is Joey. Joey comes out around people more and Sammy hides most of the time but they are both loving and affectionate. They are both de-clawed in the front and are both fixed. We took them in over a year ago hoping to find a home for them somewhere instead of having to take them to a shelter and drop them off. We really don't want to have to do that but we are kind of on a deadline here now. I've attached some photos of them in this email.

Joey Edson - Update Sept 18, 2015
Chris Edson
Joey is having a few post surgery issues--the most concerning of which is a fever that keeps spiking to about 103. His cancer treatment causes him to run a fever of about 101, so the additional burden of the surgery seems to have really overloaded his system. Also having a few issues keeping his pain under control. Would appreciate all those Prayer Warriors out there address those two specific issues over the next few days which will be crucial in his ability to heal.
Thanks!

Joey Edson Update
Thanks for your prayers. Please keep Joey, Chris & Stephen in your prayers as they walk through this valley.
Chris Edson
We are back home. Big thanks to Connie Schoepske for coming to sit with me and kill time. Also, thanks to everyone for all the prayers and positive thoughts. Surgery went well. They removed a mass that was 15 cm in diameter, so now Joey can actually lower his arm. They were not able to close the wound, so for now it is dressed and we will go back to the surgeon tomorrow to have the dressing changed and they will show me how to care for it until they can get him set up with a wound vac and a visiting nurse to come and maintain it while it grows closed. The surgeon said it should grow closed over time, probably a couple of months.

Restoration Groups that Need donations
I began looking for list of Restoration based charities/groups/programs that I could possibly assist with and found the information was a little scattered and not always easy to find. What started as a project for personal use has grown into a four page list that would probably be useful to others as well. Many people were helpful in creating this list - Thank you all!
Most would fall under monetary donations, but not all of them. There are a LOT of different ways to donate and contribute in Zion. I'm sure this is not as comprehensive as it could be, and if you see a listing you feel I could add, feel free to email me and let me know: AprilAnnErwin@yahoo.com.

21. Michele Ludy Pearl Foster Care Storehouse: “I'm always searching for things for foster families...and have been building up a storehouse/clothing closet for needs as I come across them. There's a resource center in Independence and also one in Olathe, which would both love donations. I'm kind of branching in a slightly different direction...when we get kiddos in the middle of the night (which has been the case with every foster family I talk to), it isn't possible to get the clothes you need from the resource centers until later since they have specific hours of operation. We do usually have an hour or two from the time we get the call until the child is dropped off, which is when we try to find clothing that will tide the kiddos over until we can visit the centers. Necessities include: pajamas, underwear, socks, and at least one change of clothes, since the ones they arrive in are almost always too small or way too big, not to mention filthy. I've been building up a stockpile of clothing that has been available for foster families for those types of needs. I also frequent several Facebook groups that foster families go to when those needs arrive, and clothing/baby essentials/shoes/furniture are all swapped for free from other foster families. If you could add me to the list for any children's clothing/shoes/furniture that needs new homes, I'd appreciate it! Plus sizes are also hard to come by at the "foster family" resource centers. https://www.facebook.com/Midwest-Foster-Care-and-Adoption-Association-110555265641140/timeline/

22. Storehouse Ministries of Zion Inc.,
Storehouse Ministries of Zion Inc. is NOT supported by any conference or factional group. It is a stand alone 501c3 tax exempt charity organization that attempts to assist people who have needs, but don’t have the ability to receive oblation from a restoration branch. We also try to help 3rd world saints build churches, build schools, attend schools and orphanages, and have individual stewardships by giving or loaning them start-up capital to start businesses of their own.We are directed by a board of 6 members; we have 2 remnant board members, 3 JCRB board members, and myself from the CRE. There are 4 men and 2 women on the board. Joy Muir is the secretary of our organization. It was originally formed as a place for people to contribute their surplus and tithes to noble causes, since we didn’t have a bishopric. We have intentionally not affiliated with any conference, so we can assist all saints and neighbors. This past year we have helped with Family assistance $700, Medical expenses $3655.12, Stewardship (Cameroon) $2715, First Nation $500, Educational assistance in Belize $640, Central America Assistance $500, and utility bills $158, totaling $8868.12 but we only took in $6853. So we are in dire need of support. In the past we have helped with over $100,000 to purchase lands, build churches, build schools, support an orphanage, and meet a number of local needs. I would love for more people to know about our function, rather than using the secular “GO FUND ME” way to contribute to peoples needs, they can use Storehouse Ministries of Zion, Inc. and get tax receipted at the end of the year. I hope this assures you of this good cause where we are all working together for the cause of Zion.Bill Barrett, board member of SMoZ Inc. and board member of African Restoration Ministries.

A WORD FROM LYNN
I’ve waited twenty-nine years for someone to do an in-depth study regarding the Spirit-led life taught from the perspective of the restoration movement. I’m still waiting. So I decided to do it. A class taught on spiritual encounters of the early saints and the resurgence of those spiritual manifestations among restoration saints in our day.
We’ve been traveling, speaking in Book of Mormon churches and have been witnessing similar experiences of the early saints. It’s a New Day! Saints are coming together. This year we witnessed a dear LDS sister share her love for the Book of Mormon and preach the gospel, standing in a restoration branch pulpit on a Sunday morning. What a spirit of revival and unity there was! We also witnessed a dear restoration branch brother, seventy, preach from the pulpit of an LDS congregation.
These are wonderful days! Come be with us. We have so much more to share.

CLASS SCHEDULE
TEACHING #1
Sept. 24th, Theme: “It’s a New Day, a New Day of Discovery” In two ways…
Topics Covered:
· 1) Saints rediscovering their rich Spirit-led heritage.
· 2) We Protestants are discovering the “best-kept” secret—that great modern-day outpouring of the Spirit which occurred in the Midwest during the mid-1830s (of which we typically know nothing about).
· The three great modern-day outpourings of the Spirit – taken in reverse chronological order:
1) Charismatic Renewal, 1960s & ‘70s
2) Azusa Street Revival, 1906
3) Restoration Movement, 1836
· Resurgence of Present-day outpourings of the Spirit among today’s saints.

TEACHING #2
Oct.1st, Theme: “The Missing Link”
Topics Covered:
· One of Brother Joseph’s callings was to restore the whole Christ to the Church.
· When he came on the scene, most Protestant churches (most Protestant ministers) were worshippers of the Bible more so than worshippers of the living God. Theologically and experientially-speaking, most Protestants were Cessationists. Miracles, healings, supernatural encounters, and spiritual manifestations had ceased when the original 12 apostles passed away, according to their teachings.
· Along comes a 16 year-old teenager who one day walks out into the woods. And has an incredible encounter with the living God. The teenager rushes up town, corners the first preacher he can find, which happens to be a Methodist, and tells him his testimony. The teen simply says,
“I know God lives. I saw Him!”
And that Methodist preacher, that theological professor, went berserk! The conversation in essence went something like: “Impossible! God doesn’t interfere in our daily lives these days. Supernatural encounters have ceased.” Joseph responds, “O, no! He does interfere! He’s out in the woods. I just saw Him! I talked to Him!”
· We’re going to explore the profound implications of that grove encounter. “I’m back!” says God.
Our discussion centers on the tangible Presence of God returning. Returning in the grove, returning in our midst—His manifested presence has been the missing link. What happens when God localizes Himself as He did in the Upper Room? As He did with Joseph in the Grove? As He did with the early saints in the Kirtland Temple? As He does in our midst? An interesting topic, for sure.
In January 1843, while living in Nauvoo, Illinois, Joseph Smith had a conversation with some people who were not members of the Church. He said these words:
I cannot believe in any of the creeds of the different denominations, says Joseph, because they all have some things in them I cannot subscribe to, though all of them have some truth. I want to come up into the presence of God, and learn all things.
Joseph nails it. Joseph chose God’s presence over his own theology and over men’s creeds. Let’s examine those ramifications.
TEACHING #3
Oct. 8th, Theme: “The Baptism in the Spirit and its Place within the Restoration Movement” (part I)
We will spend two Thursday evenings on this grand topic. 10 topics covered; 5 an evening.
Tonight’s 5 Topics:
1) Joseph Smith taught, believed in, and practiced what we’ll be discussing. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is no strange doctrine to the restoration gospel. To the contrary, this magnificent experience is at the very heart of this movement. It’s not a footnote to your history. Not an asterisk but is front and center throughout your church history. Exciting.
2) The early saints experienced firsthand numerous outpourings of the Spirit. We will reference (volume and page) those church history outpourings.
3) Where do we find this experience? Everywhere. It’s in both sticks (books).
4) What is the Baptism in the Holy Spirit?
5) And our last topic: We examine distinctions and terms, or terminology, regarding this marvelous experience. On that note, I very much dislike labels, but sometimes labels are necessary in order to communicate and articulate one’s meaning and position. This is one of those “sometimes.”
*Charles and Pat Golden share their life in the Spirit
(End of tonight’s session – to be continued next week…)
TEACHING #4
Oct. 15th, Theme: “The Baptism in the Spirit and its Place within the Restoration Movement” (part II)
Continuing with our Topics:
6) The two witnesses: 1) outer, 2) inner
7) The Two-fold purpose of the Baptism in the Spirit
8) Not a doctrine. All doctrine is always an invitation into an encounter with the living God.
9) The inevitable question always comes up sooner or later…
“Brother Lynn, do I have to speak in tongues to be filled with the Spirit?”
We’ll address that question from the perspective of restoration church history.
10) The four prominent misunderstandings among Book of Mormon believers regarding the phenomenon known as glossolalia, commonly known as speaking in tongues. Some refer to this experience as receiving your private prayer language.
Background History
During the mid-1980s I was asked by one of your Community of Christ Seventies to assist him in launching an alternative worship service and outreach for predominately young married couples , teens and twenty year olds. The movement was called Contemporary Christian Center (“CCC”), an outreach of the Community of Christ church.
At the time, our family was attending KC Christian Fellowship in southern Kansas City, a non-denominational, charismatic church newly founded by a young man, Mike Bickle. It was during this time that Pastor Bickle joined John Wimber’s Vineyard Church movement. Bickle’s church became known as KC Vineyard Fellowship.
I remember it well. John Wimber would frequently come to KC Vineyard and minister. Signs and wonders would break out in his services. I was at the time reading Wimber’s book “Power Evangelism.” More like devouring it.
It was during this time period that one of the brethren in charge of CCC said, “Lynn, I really want you to come and help us”
“But Wade, I’m not a member.”
“I know that but I still want your help.”
He knew I was a Book of Mormon believer. So I agreed. Paul Lucero, Wade Hankins, and I began traveling across this nation setting up and establishing “CCC” Fellowships. Miracles, healings, and spiritual gifts begin occurring.
My point is…As we traveled among the saints, I kept noticing certain questions popping up, certain misconceptions especially regarding speaking in tongues. Thirty years later these same four concerns continue surfacing. I want to address these four misconceptions:
1) "There was too much tongue-speaking in that meeting for me. I never did hear anybody interpret. It sounded like confusion to me."
2) "It's the least of all the gifts, you know."
3) "Tongues are for unbelievers, you know. They're for a sign to the unbeliever.”
4) "We must be careful not to emphasize the gifts of the Spirit to the neglect of the fruit of the Spirit."
*Marilyn Slauter shares her life in the Spirit.
(End of session)
TEACHING #5
Oct.22nd, Theme: The Gospel of the Kingdom. What is it?
Topics Covered:
· On Saturday, March 11th, 1854, published in the Millennial Star, Brother Joseph defines for us what the gospel of the kingdom is.
· Jesus preached gospel of kingdom. John the Baptist preached gospel of kingdom. Paul preached gospel of kingdom. Early disciples preached gospel of gospel of kingdom. Joseph preached gospel of kingdom. Early saints preached gospel of kingdom.
· Today in many churches on any given Sunday the gospel of grace is preached, not the gospel of the kingdom.
· We explore those implications

Still Needing a Car
My brother-in-law Richard Hartman is much in need of reliable transportation.
He cares for my mother-in-law Delores Hartman, bringing her here, taking her to Dr. appointments, grocery shopping, etc.
His car registration expires at the end of this month (Sept.) and he has been told by Barr's Automotive that it will require several thousand dollars in repairs and for it to pass inspection. It is an old car and been ready for the junk yard for some time.
He has approximately $1000 to spend. . .does anyone out there have or know of someone who might have a reasonably reliable automobile or small van, who would be willing to help them out.
If nothing turns up, he will be out of a car by the end of the month, and I am afraid we will be doing a lot of taxi work.
Please help if you can.

Update on Joey Edson - Sept 15, 2015
Update on Joey Edson
Chris Edson
Well, I'm afraid the update on Joey isn't good news. I apologize for sharing it this way, but I just don't have the time to make a bunch of phone calls, so this is the best way I know to share news. He had the CT Scan this morning, then we followed up with the surgeon. He told us that the mass is still growing and that now there is evidence of the cancer in the lymph nodes in his neck and beneath his sternum. The translation for that is, the best he can do surgically is try to make him more comfortable for what time he has left. We are hoping to get in for surgery on Wednesday, but that will be up to insurance. If not then, it will be either Friday of this week or Wednesday of next. We asked him for a best guess at how much time he thinks Joey has left and he says maybe a year if we're lucky.
+++++++++++++++++++++
We got a call saying insurance approved the surgery. Joey is scheduled tomorrow morning at 8:00.

Garland,
It is with glad and happy thankful hearts that we report to you that our needy family had an abundance of responses to our request for help and we praise our Heavenly Father for all of His many blessings. The 9-year old boy had a complete new bed frame and mattress and box springs along with plastic covers for the mattress and box springs before the night was over. He had a new bed to sleep in last night! Praise be to God! And thank you and to all those who responded to our cry for help!! May God bless each and every one of you... We are all so very thankful and appreciate you so very much.

Twin bed needed
The Crane family have a friend with a child that is being fed through a feeding tube. Last week the food was spilled all over his bed and it soaked into the mattress and even into the box springs. Despite all cleaning efforts the bed still smells horribly and needs to be replaced.
The child's family cannot afford to buy a new twin mattress and box springs set and are having a difficult time in finding a used set. This family may not even be able to afford a used set unless it is very reasonable in price.
We are asking now if anyone knows of anyone who might have a twin bed that is in the way and would be so very kind as to donate or sell it at a very reasonable price to this needy family, please? It doesn't have to be the complete bed. They just need the mattress and box springs. We are able to pick it up.
If you can help this family in any way, please contact Jim or Linda Crane at 816-796-0862
We would appreciate your prayers in their behalf as well. Thank you so very much in advance for your kindness and prayers in behalf of this family in need.

Update for Joey Edson
Joey had another treatment today. His oncologist doesn't like how things are looking. He feels like the infection is getting out of control, so we are scheduled now for another CT Scan on Monday morning, followed by an appointment with the surgeon to see if he thinks he can go in and clean it up some. It's been a rough couple of weeks for Joey--lots of fevers, pain, nausea, and general feeling bad. Please keep up the prayers.

Restoration Christmas Choir to begin rehearsals - You're invited to sing!
Dear Singer,
You are invited to join the Restoration Christmas Choir in preparing services of praise and worship for this year's Christmas season!
Throughout the summer we've been making plans for this special ministry to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior. The music selections have been finalized and can be reviewed via the choir resource web page : www.restoration-choir.webs.com - just click on the "Rehearsal and Listening Tracks" link. Or, you can go directly to the OneDrive link here: http://1drv.ms/1PfgbSo
We're very excited to be singing Pepper Choplin's "One Silent Night" this Christmas. Some choir members have already picked up their choir books and started to learn the music. If you would like to get a "head start" please contact us to set up a time when you can pick up your score. We'll also have rehearsal CD's available as a help learning notes and rhythms. If you would like a rehearsal CD, please send an email to the address below and let us know what part you'll be singing.
As always, we would ask you to invite other musicians to share in this ministry (you can forward this email to those that might be interested in participating).
Please let us know as soon as possible if you will be singing with us this fall so we can be sure to have enough music!
Rehearsals are Sunday afternoons from 4:30 - 6:00 pm at the Atherton Restoration Branch beginning September 13.
The Restoration Christmas Choir worship services will be Sunday evening, December 6 and Sunday morning, December 13.
Attached is a flyer that you can post on your church bulletin board.

Yours in Christ,
Larry Ward

Video Editor/asst. Producer Needed
Looking for a talented high school or college student to edit a short You Tube video advertising a new community safety program for small communities. I have a simple camera and remote mic that has worked for me in past efforts. I do not have tens of thousands of dollars to hire a professional production company but I have a few hundred dollars to pay for a single project video editor. If you are interested please go by my YouTube channel at
SafeShoot.com for an idea of what I do.
This project will make a great addition to a budding resume. Perspiration and Inspiration combined together can accomplish great things!
Text me with your contact info and a good time to call you. If available a short video showing your work can be attached and sent to the email below or let me know where I can find your work on You Tube. Thanks!
