The endorsements start on page 3.

MRL PACs' Candidate Endorsements for August 2, 2016 Primary

The Missouri Right to Life State and Federal Political Action Committee (PAC's) endorsements for the August 2nd Primary Election are available to be viewed on the MRL PAC website. Endorsements are based on voting records of sitting legislators as well as survey responses, interviews, public statements, public record and information from MRL PAC volunteers in the districts.

MRL PAC Endorsements - click here.

2016 MO Gov Race

For the August 2, 2016 primary, Missouri Right to Life Political Action Committee has endorsed Catherine Hanaway, John Brunner and Peter Kinder.

Despite numerous requests for a completed survey and for a meeting with Republican gubernatorial candidate Eric Greitens, Missouri Right to Life PAC received no response.

Dave Plemmons, MRL PAC's chair, said the PAC made frequent and repeated attempts to obtain that candidate survey from Mr. Greitens and to meet with the candidate. Those attempts were unsuccessful.

It is disappointing that returning a survey from the largest pro-life organization in the state would not be a priority. However, that seems to be the situation and indicates that pro-life voters need to work and vote for one of the MRL PAC-endorsed candidates.

An endorsed candidate will help ensure a pro-life governor

Summer Home Care Tips

Summer Home Care Tips

Looking for a fast way to enhance the curb appeal of your home for summer? Try these 6 easy, inexpensive project ideas that you can do yourself-in a single weekend.

REPAINT THE FRONT DOOR AND ADD MOLDING.
A new front door surrounded by inexpensive foam molding not only provides a pop of color-it also boosts your home's value.

REPLACE OR REPAINT THE HARDWARE ON THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE.
Aging house numbers and light fixtures really make a front porch look dated. For a few dollars, you can easily upgrade these fixtures to make the house look more contemporary.

ADD WINDOW BOXES, HANGING BASKETS, AND LARGE PLANTERS.
And when you plant them with brightly colored flowers, you have an instant seasonal accent that's easy to change every spring.

INSTALL LOW-VOLTAGE LANDSCAPE LIGHTING.
A nice accent to trees, shrubs, or to light up a walkway at night. Choose solar or wired.

REPLACE YOUR MAILBOX AND PLANT FLOWERS AROUND THE BASE.
Treat it like an outdoor art piece-since it's often the first thing that visitors see.

ADD SHUTTERS AND ACCENT TRIM.
This is an easy way to change the entire appearance of your house. Shutters and accent trim provide a nice detail-with a splash of contrasting color.

As always, if you or someone you know is ready for a new home, remember that I am only a phone call away and honored to receive your referrals.

Rocker Recliner Wanted

I am looking for a nice rocking recliner. I prefer fabric but would consider leather. It needs to be in good condition and clean. I would like either a dark tan or brown or darkish blue. Not floral but possibly subtle stripe or plaid. Thought I would check to see if anyone has a used one before I have to shop for one.

I would like to stay under $200 or so, but I would spend more if it is really nice. If you can shoot a pix of it, that would be great.

You can reach me by text or voice mail at 816-405-8622

August 2016 Australian Restoration News

Greetings
Please find attached the latest Australian Restoration News,
Best wishes to all,
Noel Rowlatt

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

AUSTRALIAN RESTORATION NEWS

Around and about the Centre Place
by High Priest Paul Gage, Independence, Missouri.

August greetings to the lovely Saints in Australia. We are now entering the eighth month of 2016 and some didn't think the world would last this long. As the song says, "He's Got the Whole World, in His Hands,'

'He's Got the Whole Wide World, in His Hands," and aren't we glad and should be in a regular mode of praising and thanking God for His plan for mankind. How marvelous that His course is one eternal round and that He does not vary to the left or right, and that He is the same, yesterday, today, and forever.

By the way, the word "august" means inspiring, awe, admiration, majestic, venerable for reasons of age or high rank. No one is older than God and no one has or will ever hold a higher "rank" than the Creator of all things.

The camp and reunion season is drawing to a close, with only a few reunions or camps in August. There will be a number of retreats around the country in the fall and the annual CRE Kirtland Experience for priesthood will be September 17-18, 2016. I still have very wonderful memories of the first trip in 2001, because I met Keith Whately and shared our home with him and others from outside the USA.

The Restoration Branch Family Reunion and Conference of Restoration Elders (CRE), co-sponsored by the Pastors of Zion (POZ) and the CRE was a very good reunion. Excellent classes and sermons were presented on the theme of, "The Spiritual Gifts." Elder Gary Hawley, from Living Hope RB in Independence, MO taught a class on faith. He had an exercize bike on the stage and talked about how the bike would not do anyone any good until they get on it and start pedaling. Such is faith. We have to put it into action, even like Alma said, "Experiment";

The POZ Sunday evening preaching series is going well. A different branch is in charge each night while another branch provides refreshments following the sermon. A fantastic sermon was brought by Elder Eric Odida from Kenya. It can be seen on the internet at http://www.waldoavenuerestoration branch.org. Other services can also be viewed on that website. We were so blessed to have Eric and Pam Odida with us as well as Seventy Juan Reyes and wife, Tina from Mexico. All the reports and news from the Conference is in the Tidings of Zion which should be arriving in Australia very soon.

God bless and keep each of you. We are assembling a team to come over for the Australian reunion and to visit the branches and Saints Riches from the Scriptures Volome 2 by Elder Neil Kerswell Chapter 6. Resurrection of the Dead Before we go into the resurrection of the dead I would like to briefly mention the Laying on of Hands, recorded in the opening scripture on the Principles of the Gospel.

Put simply when God calls Priesthood and they accept their call, the Hands of someone who already holds that authority are laid upon their heads, ordaining them unto the priesthood. When the hands are laid upon them it is representative of Christ's hands. Giving all honour and glory unto God through Christ's name.

Christ is represented in the Laying on of hands through ordinances such as:
Bestowal of the Holy Ghost in confirmation
Ordination to priesthood
Patriarchal Blessings
Administering to the sick

All of which bring the Spirit and Power of God into people's lives to bless and enrich.

Resurrection of the Dead

The opportunity to be raised from the dead was brought about through the Atonement made by Christ, who paid the price of our redemption.

Redemption is the act of bringing something back, regaining possession of something once possessed. God created man and gave him Agency (freedom of choice.) Satan knowing this tempted Eve to use her agency selfishly and in turn tempted Adam. By their disobedient choice they became servants of sin or in other words they had bowed their knee to Satan and fulfilled his evil desires. Therefore they had God's punishment brought upon them. They died spiritually first, being separated from God who gave them life and intelligence.

Secondly they died physically many years later, giving them opportunity for repentance while they were still Redemption in the case of man meant opening the opportunity for him to be reborn spiritually and resurrected (reunited body and spirit) from physical death. Christ made all this possible. For by the actions of man sinning brought death in the flesh. Christ took upon himself sinful flesh and was sinless, therefore condemning sin in the flesh. Being raised to life and opening the door unto all who would be obedient unto repentance and follow their Lord and their Redeemer, down into the waters of baptism, symbolically burying the man of sin and rising anew. Being born of God's spirit in preparation for receiving a glorious
resurrection. Being changed in the twinkling of an eye.

Mosiah 8:51 And behold, I say unto you, This is not all: for O how beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that is the founder of peace;
Mosiah 8:52 Yea, even the Lord, who has redeemed his people; yea, him who has granted salvation unto
Mosiah 8:53 For were it not for the redemption which he hath made for his people, which was prepared from the foundation of the world; I say unto you, were it not for this, all mankind must have perished.
Mosiah 8:54 But behold, the bands of death shall be broken, and the Son reigneth, and hath power over the dead; therefore, he bringeth to pass the resurrection of the dead.

Job 19:23-26 Job saw the day of his Resurrection
Job 19:23 Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book!
Job 19:24 That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock forever!
Job 19:25 For I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth;
Job 19:26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body; yet in my flesh shall I see God;

The Resurrection can be defined as:
The state of being raised from the Dead, the Revival of something old and long disused. The Reuniting of The rising of Jesus Christ after His crucifixion and entombment, to life again It is one thing that Christianity, Judaism and Islam have in common belief. All have a hope of rising again.

Job saw prophetically that he would at some time be able to see his God in his flesh even though his body had long since decayed away after his death.

This hope is through Jesus Christ

Job 1:8-12 Job was upright and perfect in his day
Job 1:8 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
Job 1:9 Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for naught?
Job 1:10 Hast not thou made a hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? Thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.
Job 1:11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.
Job 1:12 And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.

Job was a righteous man, who believed in Christ. This gave him a great hope in the resurrection. We too have this great hope who believe and have covenanted with God through Christ.

1 Peter 1:3-25 Resurrection is in and through Jesus Christ
1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1 Peter 1:4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven
1 Peter 1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last
1 Peter 1:6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations;
1 Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ;

The promises unto those who are obedient are beyond our imagination. What a friend we have in Jesus!

John 11:20-27 Jesus is the Resurrection and the life
John 11:20 Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him; but Mary sat still
John 11:21 Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
John 11:22 But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.
John 11:23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.
John 11:24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life; he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live;
John 11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
John 11:27 She saith unto him, Yea, Lord; I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.

Continued Verse 40
John 11:40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the
John 11:41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
John 11:42 And I knew that thou hearest me always; but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
John 11:43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
John 11:44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave- clothes; and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them. Loose him, and let him go.
John 11:45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed

Alma 19:42-59 What happens to us between Death and the Resurrection?
Alma 19:42 Now concerning the state of the soul between death and the resurrection.
Alma 19:43 Behold, it has been made known unto me, by an angel, that the spirits of all men, as soon as they are departed from this mortal body; yea, the spirits of all men, whether they be good or evil, are taken home to that God who gave them life.
Alma 19:44 And then shall it come to pass that the spirits of those who are righteous, are received into a state of happiness, which is called paradise; a state of rest; a state of peace, where they shall rest from all their troubles, and from all care, and sorrow, etc.
Alma 19:45 And then shall it come to pass, that the spirits of the wicked, yea, who are evil; for behold, they have no part nor portion of the Spirit of the Lord: for behold they choose evil works, rather than good: therefore the spirit of the devil did enter into them, and take possession of their house;
Alma 19:46 And these shall be cast out into outer darkness; there shall be weeping, and wailing and gnashing of teeth; and this because of their own iniquity; being led captive by the will of the devil.
Alma 19:47 Now this is the state of the souls of the wicked; yea, in darkness, and a state of awful, fearful, looking for, of the fiery indignation of the wrath of God upon them; thus they remain in this state, as well as the righteous in
paradise, until the time of their resurrection.

All sin we commit must be paid for to meet the demands of divine justice. If in this life we covenant with God and live a life with Fruits of Repentance and through the Holy Ghost dwelling in us become sanctified, then Christ pays the penalty of our sin for us. Allowing us to dwell in Paradise between Death and the Resurrection

Those who will not believe in Christ and all together refuse to receive of his Salvation shall not be forced to be obedient in this life. However after their death they must pay for their own sins as they were not willing to take upon
them the name of Christ. It is my belief that even through this experience mercy is extended to them through Christ.

Because Christ preached unto the souls in prison and we know His priesthood who have served here on the earth preach unto the souls in prison as priesthood is an eternal covenant that is not just for this world but carries on into the next part of our experience after death.

Moroni 8:21-25 What happens to Babies and those without Law
Moroni 8:21 And he that saith that little children need baptism, denieth the mercies of Christ, and setteth at naught
the atonement of him and the power of his redemption.
Moroni 8:22 Wo unto such, for they are in danger of death, hell, and an endless torment.
Moroni 8:23 I speak it boldly, God hath commanded me.
Moroni 8:24 Listen unto them and give heed, or they stand against you at the judgment seat of Christ.
Moroni 8:25 For behold that all little children are alive in Christ, and also all they that are without the law.

D&C 76:6B-6H Some of those that Die without Law
Sec 76:6b these are they who are of the terrestrial, whose glory differs from that of the church of the Firstborn, who have received the fullness of the Father, even as that of the moon differs from the sun of the firmament.
Sec 76:6c Behold, these are they who died without law; and also they who are the spirits of men kept in prison, whom the Son visited, and preached the gospel unto them, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, who received not the testimony of Jesus in the flesh, but afterwards received it;
Sec 76:6d these are they who are honourable men of the earth, who were blinded by the craftiness of men:
Sec 76:6e these are they who receive of his glory, but not of his fullness;
Sec 76:6f these are they who receive of the presence of the Son, but not of the fullness of the Father; wherefore they are bodies terrestrial, and not bodies celestial, and differ in glory as the moon differs from the sun;
Sec 76:6g these are they who are not valiant in the testimony of Jesus; wherefore they obtained not the crown over the kingdom of our God.
Sec 76:6h And now this is the end of the vision which we saw of the terrestrial, that the Lord commanded us to write while we were yet in the Spirit.

Those who die without the law we are told are judged in the spirit according to men in the flesh. The previous scripture showed us that some of those who die without law will be part of the Terrestrial Kingdom which are able to dwell in the presence of Jesus Christ the Son but are unable to dwell in the fullness of the Father.

We have Joseph Smith Junior's testimony below of being told by God that those who die without a knowledge of the Gospel, who would have received it if given the opportunity. Become heirs of the Celestial Kingdom where the Father and the Son sit upon the throne.

This also confirms to me that others of those who die without the law and gospel become heirs of the Tellestial Kingdoms which differ as the stars differ in glory. Because to me it is intelligence that in amongst the vast millions that heard the name of Christ. There will be people of all persuasions, just as there are amongst the countries of the world now that know of Christ. Some are saints and some are devils. Plus there are all the types of people in between.

VISION BY JOSEPH THE SEER On the evening of the 21st of January, 1836, the First Presidency met in the west schoolroom of the Kirtland Temple, at which time they ordained Joseph Smith, Sr., Patriarch of the Church, and also received their patriarchal blessings under his hands. Joseph states concerning this meeting and other matters as follows:

"The heavens were opened upon us, and I beheld the celestial kingdom of God, and the glory thereof, whether in the body or out I can not tell. I saw the transcendent beauty of the gate through which the heirs of that kingdom will enter, which was like unto circling flames of fire; also the blazing throne of God, whereon was seated the Father and the Son. I saw the beautiful streets of that kingdom, which had the appearance of being paved with gold. I saw Fathers Adam and Abraham, and my father and mother, my brother Alvin, that has long since slept, and marvelled how it was that he had obtained an inheritance in the kingdom, seeing that he had departed this life before the Lord had set his hand to gather Israel the second time, and had not been baptized for the "Thus came the voice of the Lord unto me, saying:"
'All who have died without a knowledge of this gospel, who would have received it if they had been permitted to tarry, shall be heirs of the celestial kingdom of God; also, all that shall die henceforth without a knowledge of it, who would have received it with all their hearts, shall be heirs of that kingdom, for I, the Lord, will judge all men according to their works, according to the desire of their hearts.' "And I also beheld that all children who die before they arrive at the years of accountability, are saved in the celestial kingdom of heaven. "Many of my brethren who received the ordinance with me saw glorious visions also. Angels ministered unto them as well as myself, and the power of the Highest rested upon us, the house was filled with the glory of God, and we shouted, Hosanna to God and the Lamb."-Church History, vol. 2, p. 16.

I thank God for the understanding, light and truth that is available to us in the Restoration. We truly have been given the Riches of Heaven if we will receive it.

Sunday 3rd July- Sermon Elder Broughton preached in lieu of Elder Geoffrey Grayden who was unwell.

Text: The Seven Last Words: Luke 23:35; Luke 23:43,44; John 19:25-30; Matthew 27:50-54;

John 19: 28; John 19:30; Luke 23: 47.

Sunday 10 July Sermon - Elder Murray Broughton. Reading Rev. 20:12 - 15.

Other scripture Heb 6 : 1, 2.. Mosiah1:78-90. Rev. 21:6 - 8.

Sunday 17 July. Elder Geofrey Grayden . Reading Matthew 4:1 - 11.

Both Elder Geoffrey and Sister Elma Grayden received administration during the month.

We pray for those who we know need our prayers, and the people we don't know who also need our prayers. Please fast and pray for the fulfillment of the message that was given for unity in the Church and that for us to all love God and each other more. We look forward for Zion and the Temple to be built. The signs are around us that have been prophesied. We have been warned to "Prepare ye Prepare ye, for the great Day of the Lord". We want to come forth in the first Resurrection, when he comes in his glory, and every eye shall see him. We have to prepare ourselves. We are called to bring souls to Christ. Let us not overlook our families, our friends, and saints who have become lost sheep. If we have the pure love of Christ in our hearts, we know that every soul is important to our God. Let's identify them,
pray for them, contact them, share with them. Zion the beautiful beckons us on.

KENYA HIGHER EDUCATION FUND:

From: Aaron Smith
section90design@aol.com

KENYA HIGHER EDUCATION FUND:

The church in Kenya is known for its support of the widows and the orphans. And although this story isn't about one of those two groups, it is about someone of like situation.

There was a young girl who had an older sister and many brothers. This isn't unlike many families there. Howevr, because she was deemed less attractive than her older sister, she was ignored. Her whole family would go to another church and leave her to clean and cook at home. One day, she found one of our congregations meeting in or near her home village. She came in, barely clothed, after her chores had been done. She embraced this message of Christ and the gospel.

The church saw to it that she received her secondary education. This was a major step. She was not deemed worthy of education in her family, let alone even the common decency of adequate clothing. She persevered and completed her secondary schooling. The village she came from had really never considered young girls as worthy of education. Now, not only is her older sister being educated but now, the whole village sees this as a possibility.

Do you know where she is today?

She is at university - in her final year of an electrical engineering program - full of confidence and hope. Why? Because the Kenya Higher Ed fund has provided for her costs to be covered at university.

I've said this time and time again - changing one life in Kenya doesn't change one life. It impacts their whole family and extended family - and in this case has opened up the door to change the mindset of a whole village.

Earlier this month, one of the local leaders from Kenya was in our home. He had just completed a partial list of all the people there that the fund has helped obtain a degree and their current position (work). You'll see 22 names on this list. That's not 22 people - it really represents hundreds of people who have had their lives changed. With 60% (or more) unemployment in their countries, meaningful and gainful employment is the major ingredient in avoiding poverty.

Joe O - Regional Salesman

Benard O- teacher

Quin O- Nurse

Barrack A - Nurse

Divian M - Nurse

Evance O - CPA

Asis R - Mechanic

Sally A - English language

Akello P - Mobile phone company

Fred O - Business Admin-

Geofrey N - Banking

Silvia N - Social work

Mercy O - Customer Care Super Mkt

Reagan N - Salesman

Victor O - Professional Driver (includes security)

Godfrey R - Driver Mattresses distribution

Odoro G- Airline services

Joab S - Nurse

Larry O- CPA

Charles O - Architect

Jane O - Army

Fred O - motorcycle mechanic

I wish we had time to detail each one and the change that has occurred in their lives. Joe O is now not only a regional salesman, but the company's best salesman. If they have an area that is under performing, they give it to Joe. One of the ladies who is now a nurse grew up in a slum. Sadly, 95% of the children (or more) in that environment have no chance at a life beyond poverty. She not only persevered through this degree but has since moved her mom and dad out of that environment and built them a house!

Because of all of this work, many of the saints are now allowed to pay for their own children's secondary education, thus freeing up that money to really go towards the truly poverty filled believers. The church also was able to pay for their own retreat a year ago, meaning they relied on no Western money to get all their people there, rent the facility, provide the food, etc. This was a huge step in their ability to be self-sustaining.

This program is making a massive difference in the entire church in East Africa that we support.

Again, if you'd like to give, make your check out to African Restoration Ministries. Write "Kenya Higher Ed" in the by-line and send it to Brian Mundy @ 20509 Courtney Atherton Rd, Independence, MO 64058. All checks/donations can be receipted for tax purposes if you desire.

It takes anywhere from $500 to $2500 (depending on the degree) to send a student to university for one year. We are looking to raise at least $15,000 this year. Please consider giving.

Urgent Prayers Needed - Walter Baker

---------- Forwarded message ----------
From: Karen Baker

thebeestop@aol.com

Urgent Prayers Needed

Walter Baker is in need of urgent prayers. He has been hospitalized since Saturday. He had a really bad night last night. They had him on oxygen but this body was not eliminating the carbon monoxide so by 3:30 AM they planned to move him to critical care. They had to wake his doctor three times during the night. This morning the carbon monoxide levels had come down. They have delayed the move to critical care. His kidney function is not good because they are having to navigate the fluids they are giving him, this is a concern that has dialysis as a possible outcome. On a better note the new antibiotic seems to be helping the infection. The white blood cell count is coming down. His leg is less red today and I am assuming also less swollen though mom did not mention that part.

Please pray for a complete healing. As we all know Christ told us to pray in faith believing and it would be given. I know that this can be done. We as believers in Jesus Christ can pray and He Will hear our prayers and heal him. I KNOW IT!

Please join us in this type of prayer. Also pray for Mom, Jane she is at his side pretty much 24 hours, that she can rest and have peace knowing God is in charge.

Thank you and God Bless,

Karen Baker

Mount Zion Music Association Music Camp Concert

Please join us for Mount Zion Music Association's annual Chamber Music Camp concert this Friday, July 22nd at 7:00pm at New Jerusalem Restoration Branch.

Students work intensely all week long with coaches from MZMA on their skills as string chamber musicians, with time squeezed in for devotions and games. The culmination of the week is a concert that is free to the public. The concert is always a very uplifting and inspiring experience. The energy and excitement that the students display is contagious - please come and enjoy! There will be a reception after the concert - please enjoy that too! Though the concert is always free, donations to the summer camp program are gladly accepted. One of the goals of the program is to provide a high level of instruction for as low a cost as possible, meaning that almost all of the time put into running the camp is volunteered.

This year's program includes string quartets by Mendelssohn, Beethoven, and Gounod, and chamber music by Handel, Grieg, and the Bountiful String Quartet. We will see you there!

URGENT PRAYER FOR BROTHER JOHN

From: Fern Smith
ferniesmith.bom@comcast.net

URGENT PRAYER FOR BROTHER JOHN

Johnny is so thin, weak, and all he wants to do is go to bed….very sad, because he never could stay in bed beyond about 4 hours or so. A habit from his ‘railroad working day schedules’ He just can hardly make himself eat either. Now with the return of a bad cold, and strong cough, he really is miserable. I know the Lord is working with him as well, so I praise for this happening. He is at critical time in his life and I can hardly stand the thought of losing him… it just tears me up.

PRAYER REQUEST for Glen Crowther

I am requesting prayers for myself. Here is the situation:
Last night as I was driving a large truck and delivering thousands of copies of the Kansas City Star (KC Star), the Wall Street Journal, and other printed publications, to carriers across the center portion of the state. I had a carrier for the KC Star verbally threaten to..... mess me up. He said it in different words, but it was readily apparent to me that I may be tasting my front teeth as they break off and slid down my throat. (My parents spent a small fortune to send me to an orthodontist, so I would like to keep my natural teeth, in the current position that they are in. I think that is good stewardship.) Any way, the carrier moved toward the access ladder to climb into my truck and I had no where to go. I called 911. The Warrensburg Police came and talked to the carrier, who appeared to have been in fights before and outweighs me by at least 100 pounds, anyway they talked with the carrier and then talked with me. One officer offered to stay until I completed the delivery - I readily agreed. I talked with Officer Karr for several minutes. He said that he served in the U.S. Army. Please pray for him too, because after the recent incident in Dallas and now Nice, France - police and maybe large public gatherings are now targets. Anyway, when I returned to the KC Star my supervisor's supervisor first thought it was funny what happened and then became angry that I had the audacity to request a schedule change, so that I DO NOT deliver to that carrier ever again. My personal safety is far more important to me than KC Star supervisor thought. It became an ego thing with him.I quit. Now I need prayers for peace of mind and a new job.

Thank you,

Your Servant in Jesus Christ,

Glenn B. Crowther

Bruce A. Stayton, MD Obituary

Bruce Allen Stayton, M.D.

Bruce Allen Stayton, M.D. passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, in Independence, MO, at the age of 61.

Bruce was born on January 21, 1955 to Manley David Stayton Jr and Eleanore Jean (Elefson) Stayton in Kansas City, Missouri. He was raised there and baptized a member of The Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1963. He graduated in 1973 from Oak Park High School and attended Graceland College for 3 years. There he met Kathy L. Smith of East Jackson, Michigan, and the two were married on May 29, 1976. Shortly before their marriage, Bruce was accepted into medical school at St. Louis University and graduated with an M.D. in 1980. He completed a residency program in Family Practice in Peoria, Illinois in 1983 and then began practicing as a Family Practice Physician and Allergist in Audubon, Iowa. Dr. Stayton returned to the Kansas City area in 1985 to open an allergy clinic in Independence which he ran for over 20 years serving others. His clinic was his medical ministry; he never turned anyone away regardless of their ability to pay.

Bruce loved family and his church fellowship. He was ordained a Priest in 1976 and an Elder in 1986 and was an active member of the Restoration Branches in the Independence area. His favorite pastimes were fishing, gardening, reading, hunting, and playing the cello. He never passed up an opportunity to lecture on his favorite topics or teach others. He loved to travel, especially to National Parks and the Boundary Waters in Minnesota; and spent many happy days camping with family and friends. Bruce was a lifelong music lover and passed this appreciation on to his children. The hymns of the church were very special to him and continued to bring him comfort to the very end of his life on earth.

Dr. Stayton is survived by his wife, Kathy Stayton of Independence, MO; children Jonathan Stayton of Independence, MO; Isaac Stayton of Enfield, CT; Jeremy Stayton and wife Dori of Chicago, IL; Elizabeth (Stayton) Pearson and husband Brendan of Liberty, MO; grandchildren Kiya Stayton (Jonathan) and Oliver Pearson (Elizabeth). He is also survived by his brothers Don Stayton, Mark Stayton, James Stayton and Scott Stayton, and his brothers- and sisters-in-law, as well as many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Manley and E. Jean Stayton and son Samuel Allen Stayton.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at 10:00 AM at South Crysler Restoration Branch in Independence (16101 E. Salisbury Rd, Independence, MO 64050). To honor Dr. Stayton’s memory, take the time to teach a child the love of the Savior and the outdoors. Donations may also be made to the following charities: Mount Zion Music Association Attn: Tammy Tandy via mail at: 323 S Crane, Independence, MO 64050; African Restoration Ministries (http://africaministries.org)

The Family Leadership Summit

Garland,

I attended all-day Christian meetings at the Family Leadership Summit in Des Moines Saturday, and during that I kept thinking of people I wished could have been there to hear what I was experiencing. The videos were put online on Sunday.

Go to thefamilyleader.com and click on the brown heading at the top right.

The sound doesn't work for the first 20 minutes--just scroll through until the musicians are finished. Del Tackett of the Truth Project begins 1 hour into the session, and he is shortly followed by Anne Graham Lotz.

An hour into the afternoon session a very brave Christian pastor who was born in Jerusalem and lives in Bethlehem speaks.

Also learn about If 7:14, a world-wide prayer connection that began with the leader of the Family Leader.

You may want to watch some of this and then want to pass this information along in your emails that everyone receives.

Thanks
Faye
