Protect the Flock: Abuse Escalates During COVID 19 Pandemic

Sister Abigail Cool has recently founded Triumphant Zion Ministries. The purpose of this organization is to help members and the priesthood of the church to understand the symptoms of domestic violence in the church, how to detect, how to help and support victims and offer scriptural discipleship for those who abuse. Abigail is also a Domestic Violence Advocate, offering a listening ear, support, and a wide variety of resources. It is typical for abusers isolate their victims from outside support. The current pandemic has escalated the dangers for victims through imposed isolation with their abusers. I am sharing the following article to begin offering much-needed information for how to offer comfort and support to sisters [and their children] who are experiencing coercive control [domestic violence, intimate partner violence] May the Lord give you strength and the knowledge that God does not condone abuse of any kind and longs to deliver those that are oppressed. You dear sister are not responsible for the abusive actions of another person. They make a choice to abuse. You are not to blame. Help is available. We believe you!

With warm regard, Sister Abigail Cool
