Resolution on Quarterly Elder’s Meetings

Dear Brothers, The 2020 Conference of Restoration Elders passed the following resolution: Resolution on Quarterly Elder’s Meetings Whereas, there is great need for unity among the branches, and especially the eldership, and Whereas, communication is vitally important to obtain unity, and Whereas, events taking place within the world, as well as the church, is causing a greater need for communication and unity, Therefore, be it resolved, that this conference select dates and times for quarterly meetings of the elders to include both virtual participants (Zoom) as well as in person, And be it further resolved, that these meetings can be for discussion, instruction, worship, etc., And finally, be it resolved, that these meetings be presided over by the Conference Chairman. In response to the passing of this resolution, an initial quarterly elders’ meeting has been scheduled for September 12, 2020, from 9 am to 12 pm CST using Zoom as the medium. We invite all restoration branch Melchisedec priesthood to participate in this meeting.   At this meeting, the elders will discuss what they would like to focus on in the quarterly meetings and time for worship will be afforded to prepare for the solemn assembly.
