Upcoming Events and Volunteer Activities for 2021

Happy New Year!, Initiative Friends,

We're off and running for 2021! Upcoming Initiative events at the Unity Center, 803 W. 23rd Street.

Volunteers and a truck are needed to haul two refrigerators this week about 2 miles to the Unity Center. Text Brian Carline at 913-302-1982 or me, Muriel Luedeman, 816-726-8425, if you can assist.

Thursday, December 31st, 11:00pm, Team Jesus New Years Eve Service

Saturday, January 2, 8 - 9:30am: Meal Prep for Beloveds,
FYI - After the meal bags are filled and loaded into the vehicles, Team Jesus distributes them the rest of the day to a number of camps. Volunteers are welcome and encouraged to caravan with T.J. to see and assist that part of the ministry. An eye opener and uplifting, educational experience. Stay as long as you wish. The delivery goes well into evening hours. Woody Howell, President of the Restoration Church of Jesus Christ, who confesses he is "hooked" on this ministry to the Beloveds, said that he got home about 10pm from the December 19th delivery. That is typical for each meal delivery every other Saturday. It is not required of anyone to stay that long, and all help is appreciated.

Saturday, January 9, 8 - 9:30am, Neighborhood Clean Up Day,  Unity Center Parking Lot
            More details to come.

Tuesday, January 26th, Monthly IIAW meeting, 6:30pm
Committee reports, renovation update, acknowledging recent blessings, strategies for 2021, introducing new members' offerings and skills

We are better together than we are alone. Train. Fight. Take care of each other as one team. Get the job done. Love never fails.
