AUSTRALIAN RESTORATION NEWS JANUARY 2022

AROUND AND ABOUT THE CENTRE PLACE

By High Priest Paul J. Gage, of Independence, Missouri

A New Year's Greeting to each and every one of the lovely Saints in Australia,

Another year has come and gone. and old man time keeps rolling on. So we praise the Lord for that which is past  and trust Him for all that is to come. Of course you recognized those words from the short hymn called  "Doxology," This God is the God we adore, Our faithful, un-changable friend, Whose love is as large as His  power and knows not beginning nor end. Tis JESUS, the first and the last, Whose Spirit will guide us safe home;  We'll praise Him for all that is past, and trust Him for all that's to come. And all God's people said,  ________________!

Doxology passed into English from Medieval Latin doxologia, which in turn comes from the Greek  term doxa, meaning "opinion" or "glory," and the suffix -logia, which refers to oral or written expression. It's  logical enough, therefore, that "doxology" has referred to an oral expression of praise and glorification since  it first appeared in English around 1645.

It is always somewhat fearful or anxious to enter a new year, while at the same time it is exciting and  presents to us challenge. Will we rise above our efforts of the past year or will, twelve months from now find  us still mired in the same old paths, or ruts. Some of you my receive a weekly article I put out c alled,  "Fasting, Praying, Studying, and Living for the Kingdom of God." A brother in Michigan made a suggestion  which I will follow. He said why not make it read, "Living IN the Kingdom of God rather than FOR the  Kingdom of God. So, what difference does it make? One little word can make all the difference in our  attitude and the world. I

Living "for" the Kingdom suggests perhaps that we are just sort of drifting along waiting for the Kingdom to  come and hoping we will be included. I wonder if that is what the Five Foolish Virgins, in Matthew 25:1-12,  were doing. Many times when we are waiting for something it either never happens or passes us by  unnoticed. Jesus told the foolish ones, "Ye know me not."

Living "in" the Kingdom indicates that we are aware each day that we are in the Kingdom and thus more  likely to be in tune with the Holy Spirit as it guides us through each day. Just something to think about as we  embark upon 2022.

Things are going fairly well in the Centre Place. Four to seven branches are meeting together on the first  Sunday evening and third Wednesday evening of each month. This is an activity separate from the activities  of the Conference of Restoration Elders (CRE) and Pastors of Zion (POZ). These branches continue to be  supportive of the CRE and POZ. The services together have all been very good.

Most, if not all, the branches in the Centre Place have been back in church with live services now for over a year.  However, as like the rest of the world, things may change in the USA this year. The covid is still very present  everywhere.

Center Place Restoration School is doing very well. Enrollment is up and it is pretty much "school as usual" at  least for now the missionary boards of the CRE are still functioning, but as you know, international travel is  hampered a lot by the virus and vaccination requirements.

As all parts of the world deal with and struggle with all the things going on in the world, let us as followers of  our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, "Look for the beautiful, look for the true, sunshine and shadow are all around  you." and as we started this article,

We'll praise Him for all that is past, and TRUST HIM FOR ALL THAT'S TO COME If you know of others in Australia that might want to receive items from the USA, send me their email addresses.

God richly bless each of you in 2022

In Christ,

Paul J. Gage

RICHES FROM THE SCRIPTURES

By Elder Neil Kerswell, of Queensland, Australia

Faith of Deliverance – by Member Joshua Kerswell Vol 5, Chapter 10

This time I have included the notes and scriptures from a worship My Son Joshua did recently. He did speak after each  scripture he read; therefore, I am not able to include everything which we enjoyed as a family as he shared that day.  However, I think it will lead all who read into some blessed thought and meditation. God be with you as you share in  this experience with us. As given by Joshua:

In a study recently we read about how important it was to pray often and ask for guidance and direction. I’ve been  praying a lot more recently, about just about everything. Safety for all of you and myself, that the car runs faultlessly  for me on my way to somewhere, health and wellbeing, help with jobs at work and that my skills will be up to the task  and that I’ll produce a good enough job, wisdom when it comes to crypto and money decisions… everything, and it’s  been nice.

I’m blessed that the things I pray for guidance and direction for, are fairly simple and non-life threatening. If I make a  mistake on a job, I can just cut that piece off or fill in that hole, or in the worst cases I can just make a new one. Or if  my car breaks down, I know I’m blessed with a good support network of people willing and able to help me out of  any situation I find myself in. But we know that times are coming where the problems and issues we face won’t be in  our control or ability to surpass without the help God and his spirit working in us, and the people around us to get us  through. The scriptures have plenty of examples of situations where people were put in situations that they couldn’t  have overcome without the help and guidance and gifts of God.

Nephi and Lehi preach to the Lamanites – get thrown in prison – God protects them – the others in the  prison receive an amazing experience.

Helaman Chapter 2 Verse 79-115

[Helaman 2:79] And it came to pass that they did preach with great power, insomuch that they did confound many  of those dissenters who had gone over from the Nephites insomuch that they came forth and did confess their sins,  and were baptized unto repentance, and immediately returned to the Nephites, to endeavor to repair unto them the  wrongs which they had done.

[Helaman 2:80] And it came to pass that Nephi and Lehi did preach unto the Lamanites with such great power and  authority, for they had power and authority given unto them that they might speak; and they also had what they  should speak given unto them;

[Helaman 2:81] Therefore they did speak unto the great astonishment of the Lamanites, to the convincing them,  insomuch that there were eight thousand of the Lamanites who were in the land of Zarahemla and round about,  baptized unto repentance, and were convinced of the wickedness of the traditions of their fathers. [Helaman 2:82] And it came to pass that Nephi and Lehi did proceed from thence to go to the land of Nephi. [Helaman 2:83] And it came to pass that they were taken by an army of the Lamanites, and cast into prison; yea,  even in that same prison in which Ammon and his brethren were cast by the servants of Limhi.

[Helaman 2:84] And after they had been cast into prison many days without food, behold, they went forth into the  prison to take them, that they might slay them.

[Helaman 2:85] And it came to pass that Nephi and Lehi were encircled about as if by fire, even insomuch that they  durst not lay their hands upon them, for fear, lest they should be burned.

[Helaman 2:86] Nevertheless, Nephi and Lehi were not burned; and they were as standing in the midst of fire, and  were not burned.

[Helaman 2:87] And when they saw that they were encircled about with a pillar of fire and that it burned them not,  their hearts did take courage.

[Helaman 2:88] For they saw that the Lamanites durst not lay their hands upon them; neither durst they come near  unto them, but stood as if they were struck dumb with amazement.

[Helaman 2:89] And it came to pass that Nephi and Lehi did stand forth, and began to speak unto them, saying, Fear  not, for behold it is God that has shewn unto you this marvelous thing, in the which is shewn unto you, that ye can  not lay your hands on us to slay us.

[Helaman 2:90] And behold, when they had said these words, the earth shook exceedingly, and the walls of the prison  did shake, as if they were about to tumble to the earth; but behold, they did not fall.

[Helaman 2:91] And behold, they that were in the prison, were Lamanites, and Nephites who were dissenters. [Helaman 2:92] And it came to pass that they were overshadowed with a cloud of darkness, and an awful, solemn  fear came upon them.

[Helaman 2:93] And it came to pass that there came a voice, as if it were above the cloud of darkness, saying, Repent  ye, repent ye, and seek no more to destroy my servants whom I have sent unto you to declare good tidings. [Helaman 2:94] And it came to pass when they heard this voice, and beheld that it was not a voice of thunder; neither  was it a voice of a great tumultuous noise, but behold, it was a still voice of perfect mildness, as if it had been a  whisper, and it did pierce even to the very soul.

[Helaman 2:95] And notwithstanding the mildness of the voice, behold, the earth shook exceedingly, and the walls  of the prison trembled again, as if it were about to tumble to the earth; and behold the cloud of darkness which had  overshadowed them, did not disperse.

[Helaman 2:96] And behold, the voice came again, saying, Repent ye, repent ye, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand;  and seek no more to destroy my servants.

[Helaman 2:97] And it came to pass that the earth shook again, and the walls trembled; and also, again the third  time the voice came, and did speak unto them marvelous words, which cannot be uttered by man; and the walls did  tremble again, and the earth shook as if it were about to divide asunder.

[Helaman 2:98] And it came to pass that the Lamanites could not flee, because of the cloud of darkness which did  overshadow them; yea, and also, they were immovable, because of the fear which did come upon them. [Helaman 2:99] Now there was one among them who was a Nephite by birth, who had once belonged to the church  of God, but had dissented from them.

[Helaman 2:100] And it came to pass that he turned him about, and behold, he saw through the cloud of darkness  the faces of Nephi and Lehi; and behold, they did shine exceedingly, even as the faces of angels. [Helaman 2:101] And he beheld that they did lift their eyes to heaven; and they were in the attitude as if talking or  lifting their voices to some being whom they beheld.

[Helaman 2:102] And it came to pass that this man did cry unto the multitude, that they might turn and look. [Helaman 2:103] And behold, there was power given unto them, that they did turn and look; and they did behold the  faces of Nephi and Lehi.

[Helaman 2:104] And they said unto the man, Behold, what doth all these things mean? and who is it with whom  these men do converse?

[Helaman 2:105] Now the man's name was Aminadab. And Aminadab said unto them, they do converse with the  angels of God.

[Helaman 2:106] And it came to pass that the Lamanites said unto him, What shall we do, that this cloud of darkness  may be removed from overshadowing us?

[Helaman 2:107] And Aminadab said unto them, You must repent, and cry unto the voice, even until ye shall have  faith in Christ, who was taught unto you by Alma, and Amulek, and Zeezrom; and when ye shall do this, the cloud of  darkness shall be removed from overshadowing you.

[Helaman 2:108] And it came to pass that they all did begin to cry unto the voice of him who had shook the earth;  yea, they did cry even until the cloud of darkness was dispersed.

[Helaman 2:109] And it came to pass that when they cast their eyes about, and saw that the cloud of darkness was  dispersed from overshadowing them, and behold, they saw that they were encircled about, yea, every soul, by a pillar  of fire.

[Helaman 2:110] And Nephi and Lehi were in the midst of them; yea, they were encircled about; yea, they were as if  in the midst of a flaming fire, yet it did harm them not, neither did it take hold upon the walls of the prison; and they  were filled with that joy which is unspeakable and full of glory.

[Helaman 2:111] And behold the Holy Spirit of God did come down from heaven, and did enter into their hearts, and  they were filled as if with fire; and they could speak forth marvelous words.

[Helaman 2:112] And it came to pass that there came a voice unto them, yea, a pleasant voice, as if it were a whisper,  saying, Peace, peace be unto you, because of your faith in my well beloved, who was from the foundation of the world. [Helaman 2:113] And now when they heard this, they cast up their eyes as if to behold from whence the voice came;

and behold, they saw the heavens open: and angels came down out of heaven, and ministered unto them. [Helaman 2:114] And there were about three hundred souls who saw and heard these things; and they were bid to  go forth and marvel not, neither should they doubt.

[Helaman 2:115] And it came to pass that they did go forth, and did minister unto the people, declaring throughout  all the regions round about, all the things which they had heard and seen, insomuch that the more part of the  Lamanites were convinced of them, because of the greatness of the evidences which they had received;

Joseph is sold into Egypt – becomes head of Potiphar’s house and prospers – is thrown into prison - interprets dreams in prison – interprets Pharaoh’s dream – is made second in charge of Egypt

Genesis Chapter 40 Verse 9-45

[Genesis 41:9] Then spake the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day; [Genesis 41:10] Pharaoh was wroth with his servants, and put me in ward in the captain of the guard's house, both  me and the chief baker;

[Genesis 41:11] And we dreamed a dream in one night, I and he; we dreamed each man according to the  interpretation of his dream.

[Genesis 41:12] And there was there with us a young man, a Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told  him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret. [Genesis 41:13] And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he  hanged.

[Genesis 41:14] Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon; and he  shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.

[Genesis 41:15] And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it; and  I have heard say of thee that thou canst understand a dream to interpret it.

[Genesis 41:16] And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me; God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace. [Genesis 41:17] And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood upon the bank of the river; [Genesis 41:18] And, behold, there came up out of the river seven kine, fat- fleshed and well-favored; and they fed in  a meadow;

[Genesis 41:19] And, behold, seven other kine came up after them, poor and very ill-favored and lean-fleshed, such  as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness;

[Genesis 41:20] And the lean in the ill-favored kine did eat up the first seven fat kine;

[Genesis 41:21] And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were  still ill-favored, as at the beginning. So I awoke.

[Genesis 41:22] And I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears came up in one stalk, full and good; [Genesis 41:23] And, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them; [Genesis 41:24] And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears; and I told this unto the magicians; but there was  none that could declare it to me.

[Genesis 41:25] And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one; God hath showed Pharaoh what he is  about to do.

[Genesis 41:26] The seven good kine are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years; the dream is one. [Genesis 41:27] And the seven thin and ill-favored kine that came up after them are seven years; and the seven  empty ears blasted with the east wind shall be seven years of famine.

[Genesis 41:28] This is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh; What God is about to do he showeth unto  Pharaoh.

[Genesis 41:29] Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt; [Genesis 41:30] And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the  land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land;

[Genesis 41:31] And the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine following; for it shall be very  grievous.

[Genesis 41:32] And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by  God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.

[Genesis 41:33] Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.

[Genesis 41:34] Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land  of Egypt in the seven plenteous years.

[Genesis 41:35] And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of  Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities.

[Genesis 41:36] And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the  land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine.

[Genesis 41:37] And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants. [Genesis 41:38] And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of  God is?

[Genesis 41:39] And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath showed thee all this, there in none so discreet  and wise as thou art;

[Genesis 41:40] Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled; only in the  throne will I be greater than thou.

[Genesis 41:41] And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt. [Genesis 41:42] And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in  vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck;

[Genesis 41:43] And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the  knee; and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt.

[Genesis 41:44] And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot  in all the land of Egypt.

[Genesis 41:45] And Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphnath-paaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the  daughter of Poti-pherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego are accused -- God delivereth them out of the fiery furnace. Daniel Chapter 3 Verse 1-30

[Daniel 3:1] NEBUCHADNEZZAR the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the  breadth thereof six cubits; he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.

[Daniel 3:2] Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the princes, the governors, and the captains, the  judges, the treasurers, the counselors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of  the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.

[Daniel 3:3] Then the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counselors, the sheriffs,  and all the rulers of the provinces were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the  king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

[Daniel 3:4] Then a herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages, [Daniel 3:5] That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds  of music, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up; [Daniel 3:6] And whoso falleth not down and worshipeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery  furnace.

[Daniel 3:7] Therefore at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery,  and all kinds of music, all the people, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshiped the golden image that  Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.

[Daniel 3:8] Wherefore at that time certain Chaldeans came near, and accused the Jews. [Daniel 3:9] They spake and said to the king Nebuchadnezzar, O king, live forever.

[Daniel 3:10] Thou, O king, hast made a decree, that every man that shall hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp,  sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of music, shall fall down and worship the golden image; [Daniel 3:11] And whoso falleth not down and worshipeth, that he should be cast into the midst of a burning fiery  furnace.

[Daniel 3:12] There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach,  Meshach, and Abed-nego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee; they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden  image which thou hast set up.

[Daniel 3:13] Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego.  Then they brought these men before the king.

[Daniel 3:14] Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, do not ye  serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?

[Daniel 3:15] Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and  dulcimer, and all kinds of music, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well; but if ye worship not,  ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out  of my hands?

[Daniel 3:16] Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not  careful to answer thee in this matter.

[Daniel 3:17] If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver  us out of thine hand, O king.

[Daniel 3:18] But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image  which thou hast set up.

[Daniel 3:19] Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach,  Meshach, and Abed-nego; therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times  more than it was wont to be heated.

[Daniel 3:20] And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed nego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.

[Daniel 3:21] Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and  were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

[Daniel 3:22] Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of  the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego.

[Daniel 3:23] And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning  fiery furnace.

[Daniel 3:24] Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his  counselors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True,  O king.

[Daniel 3:25] He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt;  and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

[Daniel 3:26] Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said,  Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach,  Meshach, and Abed-nego, came forth of the midst of the fire.

[Daniel 3:27] And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counselors, being gathered together, saw these  men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was a hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed,  nor the smell of fire had passed on them.

[Daniel 3:28] Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, who  hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded  their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.

[Daniel 3:29] Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak anything amiss  against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a  dunghill; because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.

[Daniel 3:30] Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, in the province of Babylon.

I hope you have enjoyed being included in what Joshua shared on Faith of Deliverance. We enjoyed it greatly. May God Bless you is my Prayer in Christ’s name, Amen.

REPENTANCE, BAPTISMN, FAITH, HOPE, CHARITY From Elder Murray Broughton, of Euroa, Victoria

BOOK OF MORONI CHAPTER 7 V29-53

V 29 And because he hath done this, my beloved brethren, hath miracles ceased.?

V 30 Behold, I say unto you, Nay, neither have angels ceased to minister unto the children of men. V 31 For behold, they are subject unto him, to minister according to the word of his command, Shewing  themselves unto them of strong faith and a firm mind, in every form of godliness.

V 32 And the office of their ministry is, to call men unto repentance, and to fulfill and to do the work of the  covenants of the Father which he hath made unto the children of men, to prepare the way among the children  of men, by declaring the word of Christ unto the chosen vessels of the Lord, that they may bear testimony of  him,

V 33 And by so doing, the Lord God prepareth the way that Holy Ghost may have place in their hearts, according to the power thereof.

V 34 And after this manner bringeth to pass the Father the covenants which he hath made unto the children of  men.

V 35 And Christ hath said, If ye will have faith in me, ye shall have power to do whatsoever thing is expedient in  me.

V 36 And he hath said, repent all ye ends of the earth, and come unto me and be baptized in my name, and have faith in me that ye may be saved.

V 37 And now my beloved brethren, if this be the case that these things are true which I have spoken unto you,  and God will shew unto you with power and great glory at the last day, that they are true, and if they are true, has the day of miracles ceased?

V 38 Or have angels ceased to appear unto the children of men?

V 39 Or has he withheld the power of the Holy Ghost from them?

V 40 Or will he, so long as time shall last, or the earth shall stand, or there shall be one man upon the face  thereof to be saved.?

V 41 Behold I say unto you, Nay, for it is by faith that miracles are wrought, and it is by faith that angels appear  and minister unto men,

V 42 Wherefore if these things have ceased, woe be unto the children of men, for it is because of unbelief, and  all is vain, for no man can be saved, according to the words of Christ, save they shall have faith in his name, V 43 Wherefore, if these things have ceased, then has faith ceased also, and awful is the state of man, for they  are as though there had been no redemption made.

V 44 But behold, my beloved brethren, I judge better things of you, for I judge that ye have faith in Christ  because of your meekness, for if ye have not faith in him, then ye are not fit to be numbered among the people  of his church.

V 45 And again my beloved brethren, I would speak unto you concerning hope.

V 46 How is it that ye can attain unto faith, save ye shall have hope.? And what is it that ye shall hope for? V 47 Behold I say unto you, that ye shall have hope through the atonement of Christ and the power of his  resurrection, to be raised unto life eternal, and this because of your faith in him according to the promise. V 48 Wherefore, if a man have faith, he must needs have hope, for without faith there cannot be any hope.

V 49 And again, behold I say unto you, that he cannot have faith and hope, save he shall be meek and lowly of  heart, if so, his faith and hope are vain, for none is acceptable before God, save the meek and lowly of heart, if  so, his faith and hope are vain, for none is acceptable before God, save the meek and lowly of heart. V 50 And if a man be meek and lowly in heart, and confesses by the power of the Holy Ghost, that Jesus is the  Christ, he must needs have charity, for if he have not Charity, he is nothing, wherefore he must needs have  charity.

V 51 And Charity suffereth long, and is kind, and envieth not, and is not puffed up, seeketh not her own, is not  easily provoked, thinketh no evil, and rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth, beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things, wherefore, my beloved brethren, if ye have not  Charity, ye are nothing, for charity never faileth.

V 52 Wherefore, cleave unto charity, which is the greatest of all, for all things must fail, but charity is the pure  love of Christ, and it endureth for ever, and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with  them.

V 53 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, pray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled  with this love which he hath bestowed upon all who are true followers of his Son Jesus Christ, that ye may  become the sons of God, that when he shall appear, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is, that we  may have this hope, that we may be purified even as he is pure. Amen

BOOK OF MORONI CHAPTER 10 v 15 v 6 v 17

Wherefore, there must be faith, and if there must be faith, there must also be hope, and if there must be hope, there must be charity, and except ye have charity, ye can in no wise be saved in the kingdom of God. Neither can ye be saved in the kingdom of God, if ye have not faith, neither can ye if ye have no hope, and if ye  have no hope, ye must needs be in despair, and despair cometh because of iniquity.

And Christ truly said unto our fathers, if ye have faith, ye can do all things which are expedient unto me. ROMANS CHAPTER 10 v 16

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

FAITH... HEBREWS CHAPTER 11 v 1

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

v 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him, for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Your Brother In Christ, Murray.

The Two Wolves (Short Story)

An old Cherokee chief sat down to teach his grandson about life.

“There’s a fight going on inside me,” he tells the young boy, “a fight between two wolves.”

“One wolf is evil. It’s full of malice, anger, greed, self-pity and false pride. The other is good. It’s  full of peace, love, joy, kindness, and humility.”

“This same fight is going on inside you and everyone else on the face of the earth.”

The grandson was quiet, pondering this revelation for a moment before asking, “Grandfather,  which wolf will win?”

The old man smiled and replied, “The one you feed.”
