The Prophets: Isaiah 05/11/2020

"BE YE CLEAN" - part I From the book of Ecclesiastes we read more of the patterns of prophetic messaging as the Lord outlines and defines what is truly given of HIM and from HIM. From Hosea chapter 4 verse 1; we read of these patterns, which are: TRUTH, MERCY, and the KNOWLEDGE OF GOD.

"The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done; and there is no new thing under the sun." Ecclesiastes 1:9

"That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been, and God requireth that which is past." Ecclesiastes 3:15

Isaiah reiterates this principle by stating: "To the law and to the testimony; and if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." Isaiah 8:20

And the "light" spoken of here, is the LIGHT of CHRIST.

For now, this one topic (if I may use that term), this timeless and Eternal topic, that Isaiah instructs us to consider is this: "BE YE CLEAN"

Clean - not dirty, not sullied, free of disease, not spoiled, not compromised, not misused, not misapplied, not misspoken, not misrepresented, and the manner in which the creature responds to the Creator. Being clean has to do with the TRUTH, being clean has to do with for the purpose that God created and intended. Being clean has jurisdiction, influence, application, evaluation, and is the standard and criteria of which and by which the Lord, our Righteous Judge, shall judge all of His creation, including the entire family of Adam; and especially the manner in which a people handle and respond to the precious things of Heaven, The WORD of GOD and HIS GOSPEL and HIS CHURCH . Being clean has to do with being pure and spotless, washed in the blood, washed clean, like un-tossed snow, not disturbed, whole, complete. Being clean has to do with that which is NOT splintered, fractured, bifurcated or smudged.

Being clean has to do with ALL THINGS temporal, physical, emotional, conversational, interaction with and between, socially, in heaven and on earth, and especially: in the words we speak and the conversations we are engaged in. Can you hear the wonderful words of life from the lips of King Benjamin? "But this much I can tell you, that if ye do not watch yourselves, and your thoughts, and your words, and your deeds, and observe to keep the commandments of God, and continue in the faith of what ye have heard concerning the coming of our Lord, even unto the end of your lives, ye must perish. And now, O man, remember, and perish not." Mosiah 2

Being clean has to do with ALL THINGS spiritual. Time and time again, the people of God, they who had a knowledge of and at times responsible for the church in their day and time; the Lord had much to say to them according to their "uncleanness" before HIM and according to the degree of the evil and corruption of those who occupied and now occupy high places had and are doing before HIM. And in ALL cases, the Lord used the instruments of sword, pestilence, famine. Found within that instrumentation, was also captivity while others who made a sufficient attempt to "come clean before the Lord", were led to a land of promise.

How often did the prophets Jeremiah, Isaiah, Hosea, Ezekiel, Lehi, Daniel and others identify the specific actions and lyings, and deceits, and mischiefs, and all manner of hypocrisy. Ezekiel is given these words pertaining to the nation, the people, the church, the governance of their day and time: chapter 43 "So the Spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house. And I heard him speaking unto me out of the house; and the man stood by me. And he said unto me, Son of man, the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel forever, and my holy name, shall the house of Israel no more defile, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoredom, nor by the carcasses of their kings in their high places. In their setting of their threshold by my thresholds, and their post by my posts, and the wall between me and them, they have even defiled my holy name by their abominations that they have committed; wherefore I have consumed them in mine anger. Now let them put away their whoredom, and the carcasses of their kings, far from me, and I will dwell in the midst of them forever. Thou son of man, show the house to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities; and let them measure the pattern. And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, show them the form of the house, and the fashion thereof, and the goings out thereof, and the comings in thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof; and write it in their sight, that they may keep the whole form thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and do them."

Rulers in high places; places of leadership, prominence, importance(especially of their own making), and all they who have, by definition, the responsibility to live the WORD and teach the WORD; these are they who are the target of the words of the prophecy of Ezekiel.

How the Righteous Prophet, Jesus Christ, also told what remained of the people of Zarahemla in the day HE visited them: 3rd Nephi 7: 34 - 35 "And thus commandeth the Father that I should say unto you, At that day when the Gentiles shall sin against my gospel, and shall reject the fullness of my gospel, and shall be lifted up in the pride of their hearts above all nations, and above all the people of the whole earth, and shall be filled with all manner of lyings, and of deceits, and of mischiefs, and all manner of hypocrisy, and murders, and priestcrafts, and whoredoms, and of secret abominations; And if they shall do all these things, and shall reject the fullness of my gospel, behold, saith the Father, I will bring the fullness of my gospel from among them; "

It is all about the greater meanings and understandings and implementations and obedience to the fuller revelation of what it means: "BE YE CLEAN".

"BE YE CLEAN" for life, health, freedom, liberty, and the right to enter in to the Kingdom of God - "BE YE CLEAN "
