This headline appeared yesterday on Brighteon Broadcast News: “SOON, MANY THINGS THAT RUN MODERN CIVILIZATION WILL COME TO AN END. IN THE COLLAPSE, MANY EVIL THINGS WILL ALSO END… FOLLOWING THAT, THERE WILL ALSO BE MANY NEW BEGINNINGS. SOME OF THEM WILL BE INCREDIBLY POSITIVE, EVEN REVOLUTIONARY FOR HUMANITY.”

That is what the word of God has been telling us to pray about and watch for since the earliest times. The immutable word of God has also told us how to recognize the nearness and arrival of these “things” and to BE READY IN ADVANCE. Instead, most of us have been waiting for some kind of grand announcement from our spiritual leaders (1), or for a peer group to follow. Yet, each one of us have been given (at least latent) spiritual ears and charged with responsibility to obey—for the sake of our families and for the sake of the Kingdom’s sustainable reality. This isn’t an indictment of our spiritual leaders—they teach us to be personally receptive and responsive to the Lord’s messages.

All true scripture regarding the Kingdom on earth coordinate because all Truth emanates from the same Creator, even though we may seem to receive it in fractured segments. Early in 1831, this revelation was received and recorded. “Behold, this I have given unto you a parable, and it is even as I am: I say unto you, Be one; and if ye are not one, ye are not mine. And again I say unto you that the enemy in secret chambers seeketh to take your lives. Ye hear of wars in far countries, and you say there will soon be wars in far countries, but you know not the hearts of men in your own land. I tell you these things because of your prayers; wherefore, treasure up wisdom in your own bosoms lest the wisdom of men reveal these things unto you by their wickedness in a manner that will speak in your ears, with a voice louder than that which will shake the earth; but if ye are prepared, ye shall not fear.

You don’t need to belong to Zionworks in order to hear and respond to what God has been speaking into your ears. We, however, do offer personal encouragement without judgement, and we offer friendship and the practicality and pleasure of working together, praying together and thinking together under the blessing of the Holy Spirit as we respond to the leadings for “thy Kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven”.

(1) The “grand announcements” are to be found in the scriptures as they “speak into our ears” and listened for from our own observations, and from truth we hear that is verified by the Spirit.

CALENDAR

Next meeting: This coming Sunday, August 13th at 2:00 PM at Central Branch, 919 S. Delaware, Independence on the lower level. On the agenda: Prayer for each other’s and others’ special needs; prayer for the specific needs Christ wants us to apply ourselves to; watchman’s report; coordinating our resources under Christ’s directions for his purposes and interesting ideas for the practicality of the Kingdom. This gets both very interesting and serious. Bring items that are interesting, useful or nutritional to barter. Needed: your input.

Work days: To be planned at this coming meeting. There are people with various needs that they can’t do by themselves, can’t afford and could really use some help. For some “reason”, these work days always turn out to be unexpectedly fun even though they are real work.
