Celebration of Life service for Barent Eliason

Barent Eliason, age 93, of Sandusky, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024. He was born March 13, 1931, in Flint, Michigan to the late Herman and Edna (Hopkins) Eliason. Barent married Beverly Lindsley and was married for 18 years until her passing in 1975. He later married Barbara Rich on April 10, 1976, and has enjoyed the last 48 years together. Barent was a third generation dairy and crop farmer, and had a passion for the Lord’s earth. He was Presiding Elder for fifty years for the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints / Church of Jesus Christ Sandusky Restoration Branch. Barent is survived by his wife, Barbara. His sons: Peter Eliason (Debbie); Barry (Lisa) Eliason; and Eric (Cory) Eliason. Eight grandchildren: James, Alex, Daniel, Sarah, Emma, Briggs, Bryer, Ames. One great granddaughter, Kiera. One brother, Bob Eliason. One sister, Karin Moyer. A celebration of life service will be held 7:00pm Friday April 5th at Church of Jesus Christ Atherton Restoration Branch 4910 N Main St Independence, MO 64058
