Lois Elaine (Neill) Martin passed away peacefully on December 6, 2024, with her husband and daughters by her side.
Lois was born 1931 in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, Canada.
She graduated from William Chrisman High School in May of 1950 and went on to Graceland College to earn an associate degree in 1952.
She married Marion F. Martin (Marty) in April 1955. They had 3 daughters.Lois worked for Southwestern Bell as a customer service representative until 1964 when she stayed home to raise her family. Once her children were grown, she returned to work at Mid Continent Public Library where she worked for over 10 years.
She was a member of the Community of Christ. Lois loved to cook, quilt, travel and spend time with her family. She loved the holidays preparing family meals and entertaining.
She was proud to receive her United States citizenship on May 27, 1993.
Lois is survived by her husband, Marty; her 3 daughters: Jane Durham (Mark), Diana Abraham (Gordon), and Karen Massop (Vince Hammond); her brother Ellis Neill (Judy); grandchildren: Bradley Williamson, Julie Long, David Abraham, Jennifer Smith (Keegan), Haley Ward, Cassie Durham Levitt (Travis), Cliff Durham(Brenna), Austi Massop and Tim Massop. Marty and Lois were blessed with many great grandchildren. Lois had a large extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews that she enjoyed spending time with.
The family suggests donations in her name to Elevate Home Health and Hospice.
