Help for Ukrainian Families

As you know, our daughter Jackie (Olga) is from Ukraine. In the fall, Jackie found and reconnected with her birth Mama and several family friends. It has been so healing and joyful for them and until Russia attacked, they were enjoying reconnecting, sharing about their lives and Jackie and Andrew were planning for a visit to Ukraine. Once the war started, that all changed. Jackie's family and friends live very close to Mariupol (about 10 miles away) and are struggling to find supplies and are dealing with constant shelling and fear for their lives. Her birth Mama is living in a friend's basement and other family and friends are living in refugee camps. The refugee camps are running out of supplies and there is no work available to the refugees and of course, no work in Mariupol and the surrounding villages. Jackie remains in contact with them, although it is difficult and causes a lot of concern when she can't reach them.

Jackie has been sending money to help with getting supplies, such as food, water, clothing and helping the Ukrainian soldiers. She is able to send money through Paypal and Western Union, whichever is working at the time. Her grandparents, Morris and Peggy Jones have been helping, as well as their friends and church (Mt. Zion Restoration Branch). We would appreciate anyone who is interested in sending money, to help these families, to send donations to Mt. Zion Restoration Branch, C/O Morris Jones, 3800 Haden, Independence MO 64055 Phone 816-373-8232.

(Note on checks: Families in Ukraine)

Jackie has given Mt. Zion proof of where the money is going in the form of photos her friends send her, as well as screenshots of money transfers. Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,
Todd and Jennifer Jones
