FASTING, PRAYING, STUDYING AND LIVING FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD
JUNE 3, 2021
Mid-year greetings to the Saints Around the World,
It has been a long stretch, and we are still waiting for the Kingdom. We remember from Matthew 6:38 that we are to seek first to build up the Kingdom of God and to establish His righteousness. As you know, when we make a concerted and diligent effort to serve the Lord that the Adversary is always trying to interfere. He wants us to become discouraged, and slack off in our efforts to build up" and "establish. However, we are also constantly reminded by the gentle, loving Spirit of God that He is aware of our every situation and will always be there for us. The following lyrics of the song, Give Them All To Jesus," serve to help keep us in touch with the Master. If you are not familiar with this song, you can pull it up on the net and hear it sung.
Are you tired of chasing pretty rainbows?
Are you tired of spinning round and round?
Wrap up all the shattered dreams of your life
And at the feet of Jesus lay them down.
Give them all, Give them all, give them all to Jesus
Shattered dreams, wounded hearts, broken toys
Give them all, give them all, give them all to Jesus
And He will turn your sorrow into joy.
He never said you would only see sunshine
He never said there would be no rain
He only promised us a heart full of singing
About the very thing that once brought pain.
Give them all, Give them all, give them all to Jesus
Shattered dreams, wounded hearts, broken toys
Give them all, give them all, give them all to Jesus
And He will turn your sorrow into joy
Give Them all to Jesus
At the feet of Jesus lay them down.
Matthew 11:29-30 also reminds us of a promise Jesus made to each of us and we also sing the hymn, "Standing on the Promises of God my Savior...standing on the promises of God."
God be with you always
Paul Gage
