Meeting Thursday
Hello, IIAW and Unity Center Friends,
Our next COLLABORATE EXTENDED HANDS meeting is 5pm, Thursday, June 22, at Salvation Army, 14700 E. Truman Road. Someone from Mother's Refuge is coming, and we will deliver collected diapers to Baby Grace in Buckner. We are collecting diapers, razors, 13 gallon trash bags, storage containers, women’s flip flops and slippers, party supplies, women’s robes, deodorant and bath towels. Message us for local pick up:
Saralee Rhoads <extendedhands2023@gmail.com
Please check out COLLABORATE EXTENDED HANDS' new website. Saralee and her small creative, community-minded Christian group is making a big difference in bettering our community. This shy, behind-the-scenes worker exemplifies the POWER OF ONE. What a joy it is to be part of and support this brilliant idea. When we lift others, we rise, too. That applies to groups as well as individuals. We are more powerful together than we are alone, and when we seek the heart of God to govern our actions, we are establishing the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth, right here, right now.
If you can't make the meeting, the website has a place for donations. Click "HOW YOU CAN HELP"

Hello, IIAW and Unity Center Friends,
Saturday, June 24, Meal Prep for Beloveds, 8-10am, Unity Center, 803 W. 23rd Street.
Monday, June 26, IIAW Monthly Meeting, 6pm, Unity Center
Saturday, July 8, Neighborhood Clean Up, 9am - 11am. Meet at Unity Center parking lot for prayer and assignments.
Saturday, July 15, Mayor's Clean Up, 9am - 11am, Tentatively at Sterling Avenue/40 Hwy. Location subject to change.
Our city is looking better with great progress in litter control. The yellow bags along the roadways, which MODOT will dispose of, is the result of a new Community Services League program initiated to hire people to pick up trash. Please note the Mayor's Clean Up, a monthly gathering of citizens is July 15th. Helping out with this project is a wonderful way to show our support for mayoral and city council endeavors. It means so much when they see people volunteer to help their city. It shows that we don't HAVE to do this; we GET to do it. That makes all the difference. Our city shines like the gem she is!
Finally, thank you all for your prayers and generous, compassionate support for the IIAW during the past 4+ years we have existed. The progress is visible EVERY DAY! Please pray to know God's heart for what we can do next to bring His Kingdom, right here, right now.
