  The Memorial service for Marc Harper is scheduled for 2:30PM on Saturday 11/28/20 at the Fouts Funeral Home in Woodbine IA. It will be live-streamed through the funeral home Facebook page (2nd link provided).

Marc Ammon Harper was born on January 10, 1955, to Francis and Iris (Edwards) Harper Jr. at the Fort Gordon Military Base in Augusta, Georgia. The Harper family returned to Woodbine in 1956. Marc graduated from Woodbine High School in 1973 and then attended Graceland College for one year. He graduated from Iowa State University in 1978 with a degree in Animal Science.

      After college Marc returned to Woodbine to raise a family, carried on his family’s tradition as a fifth generation farmer, and found true satisfaction raising cattle. On December 31, 2009, Marc married Andrea Scichilone at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Woodbine. Marc cherished the time he spent with his family and thoroughly enjoyed his role as a father and grandfather. He was an Elder in the Saints of Christ Church and faithfully served in priesthood for 44 years. 

     Marc died unexpectedly on Friday, November 20, 2020 at CHI Community Memorial Hospital at the age of 65 years, ten months and ten days.     

     Marc was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Loni; and niece, Whitney Ronk. He is survived by his wife, Andrea Harper of Woodbine; four children, Graham Harper of Grimes, Iowa, Hilary and her husband Andrew Moores of Woodbine, Elyse and her husband John Mottet of Urbandale, Iowa and Evan Harper of Woodbine; three step-children, Garret, Ava and Pearl Reisz of Woodbine; three grandchildren, Steele Moores and Leighton and Vera Mottet; sister, Terri and her husband Alan Ronk of Woodbine; and many other relatives and friends.
