IIAW Activity Reminder - April 7
Hello, IIAW and Unity Center Friends,
Here are the next volunteer events;
Saturday, April 8th, 8-10am - Meal Prep for Beloveds, Unity Center, 803 W 23rd Street
Saturday, April 8th, 9-11am - Mayor's Trash Clean Up, Rotary Park, 10615 E. 24th Street, Indep. MO
Bring grabbers and gloves. Trash bags will be provided and sterile gloves if you need them. Rotary Park is west a couple of blocks from Sterling, and south of Dollar General on 23rd Street. The Mayor's Trash Clean Up is a monthly event on the 2nd Saturday of the month from 9-11am.
Because of Easter activities, we are moving the Neighborhood Clean Up to April 15th. If weather permits, we will be assisting Municipal Services clean out a camp at 23rd Street and S. Crysler Avenue, as well as picking up along other high traffic roads. We will also be helping Paula Swayne move the last of her wood from a trailer to racks near the house. Chain saws will be helpful. Wear sturdy shoes and layered clothing for cooler temperatures.
