Supplies needed for Indian Reservation Trip

Dear, Saints,

First Fruits Prayer Group (Temple Lot daily) is partnering with Team Jesus, a Jesus/Kingdom Now focused mobile ministry that serves the immediate and extended needs of the homeless to help them rebuild their lives, to assist an elderly Native American Christian woman at Standing Rock Reservation near Bismarck, North Dakota. (Check Team Jesus out on the internet.) Brian and Yvonne Carline are the pastors.

A trip is planned for this Thanksgiving weekend to Bismarck, to help Joyce Kitson, an elderly, fragile Native American grandmother trying to minister to her people. Our focus is to bring the love of Jesus to those she minsters to, and provide items that will help her people establish cottage industries. We are requesting the following items to take with us:

Sewing Machines

Sewing Thread

Tools

Scissors
Nippers
Pliers

Musical Instruments

Children’s Recorders
Native American flutes
Native drums
Guitars

Art supplies

Acrylic paint
Brushes
Sketch and painting pads
Drawing pencils
Erasers
Charcoal
Pastel sets
Crayola colored pencils
Glue guns and hot glue

Sleeping bags
Blankets
Emergency thermal blankets made of durable insulating Mylar-type material, (The internet has one site that has them for $1.25)
Coats
Hats
Gloves
Non-perishable foods
Visa Gift Cards (To assist with gas and expenses for the volunteers)

(More needs may be made known in later emails.)

Please pray for Joyce Kitson and her mission to take care of her people. Joyce has been lifted up by First Fruits for many months. She is not a Restoration believer, however her work with the poorest of people is worthy of support. First Fruits is grateful to Team Jesus volunteers who have some along side to assist in this mission. They will be establishing ongoing, consistent help this first trip to Bismarck.

The volunteers will tentatively leave Independence, Wednesday, November 21 and return Sunday, November 25. Items should be turned in by Monday, November 19.
