POZ Summer Series - Jackson County Requirement for the Wearing of Mask

Saints,

Currently we are under Phase 2.5 of the Jackson County Recovery Plan. Per the plan, places of worship require individuals attending to wear masks.  Mask will be available at the welcome desk if you do not have one.  Before, during and after the service, please follow the guidelines for social distancing.

If you feel that it is wisdom for you and your family to stay home, the services of the Summer Series are live-streamed and be can be watched online at:

Hopefully, we will not have these requirements long.  In the meantime, let us do our part as Saints to slow the spread of this virus and promote public safety.  The scriptures counsel us, “Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake . . .” 1 Peter 2:13 – 15.

In gospel bonds,
Dayn Cederstrom

Here are the parts of the Jackson County Order that affects places of worship:
2. Requirement:

·         When in a public indoor space (including a workplace, business, place of worship, or public facility such as a community center or library) individuals are required to wear a mask covering the nose and mouth.

vii.   Gatherings including, but not limited to, non-essential business activities such as: religious services, weddings, funerals, lectures, meetings, parades, fairs, festivals, and performances may resume subject to the following requirements, but must adhere to the guidance found in the Recovery Plan:

1.       Indoor venues: Occupancy shall not exceed fifty (50) percent.
6. Pursuant to §192.300 R.S. MO. and §192.320 R.S.MO., the Health Director request that the Sheriff, all chiefs of police, and Park Rangers in the County ensure compliance with and enforcement of this Order. The violation of any provision of this Order constitutes an imminent threat and menace to public health, constitutes a public nuisance, and is punishable by fine, imprisonment, or both.
