Today is: September 10, 2020
And perhaps you are allowing yourself to remember a little about September 11, 2001.
It has been nineteen years, and what have you done? It has been nineteen years since the judgements
of God had reigned down on America and on us all. It has been nineteen years and has your life
been changed because of the harbingers that the warning voices have called to you?
Has your life been changed for good to consider your ways and your attitudes and commitment and
your faith in God and toward God? Have you repented of your apathy, slothfulness, indifference?
Has your life been effected and affected by hardship, plague, virus, disease,
the privilege to assemble greatly curtailed?
Are your streets filled with riots, looting, burning, tearing down the ancient landmarks?
Is there a greater need to repent and to return unto the Lord as never before and will YOU
make that change?
Brother Oakman has a thought about the state of the church and the Cause of Zion, in fact, about
this nation:
“The Lord Jesus Christ lies imprisoned in the midst of this people. He is weak and feeble, because
we have bound Him within our souls by our preference of secondary things, by our indifference , and
by our Love of the things of the world. But there are people who are not yet members of our church
whom God cannot bring into it because we are not worthy of them…We have not been of such high order
as to attract their attention, ( In other words we are not different enough for the world to take notice of us )
and invite their imagination, and enlist them in the cause of Jesus Christ.”
And of and to the church, specifically:
“The Church is not called to ask for revelation and receive;
we are called to live for revelation and respond to it.” Arthur Oakman
But the church no longer speaks of spiritual authority, rather they only rely upon:
“administrative, legislative, and judicial authority.”
What has been the response of the church these last nineteen years? Have we been willing to receive
the light and TRUTH of ALL THINGS into our hearts;
have we given heed to the prophets of God and their counsel ?
have we taken any steps, individually and collectively to give heed to the prayers and tears and WORDS
of the Lord Jesus, as he wept over Jerusalem and he weeps over Independence and He weeps over the church
that HE GAVE HIS LIFE FOR; for He asked and lamented:
“Then Jesus began to weep over Jerusalem, saying,
O Jerusalem! Jerusalem! Ye who will kill the prophets, and will stone them who are sent unto you;
how often would I have gathered your children together, even as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings,
and ye would not.”
To the people in Zarahemla and who witnessed such great destruction:
“And it came to pass that there came a voice again unto the people, and all the people did hear, and
did witness of it saying, O ye people of these great cities which have fallen, who are descendants of
Jacob; yea, who are of the house of Israel, O, ye people of the house of Israel, how oft have I gathered
you as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and have nourished you.
And again, how oft would I have gathered you, as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings; yea,
O ye people of the house of Israel, who have fallen;
Yea, O ye people of the house of Israel; ye that dwell at Jerusalem, as ye that have fallen; yea,
how oft would I have gathered you as a hen gathereth her chickens, and ye would not.
O ye house of Israel, whom I have spared, how oft will I gather you as a hen gathereth her chickens
under her wings, if ye will repent and return unto me with full purpose of heart.”
And the prayer of Jesus: “Father, that they may be ONE”
Yet all of the planning and devices and calls for unity and the
“administrative, legislative, and judicial authorities of men in every tradition of the Restoration has done
nothing more than to divide us even further. In defiance have they laid and continue to lay their plans :
The ancient vow is repeated:
‘We remember.
We rebuild.
We come back stronger.’
By now, I pray all of you have your copy of Jonathan Cahn' new book – “The Harbinger II – The Return”.
And oh the parallels within the Book of Mormon that speak of this Eternal promise – known among
Moses and other prophets:
“But behold, his will be done: for his ways are righteousness for ever; and he hath said that, Inasmuch
as ye shall keep my commandments ye shall prosper in the land; but inasmuch as ye will not keep
my commandments ye shall be cut off from my presence.”
Just as his other writings and heaven sent inspirations have reminded us and taught us the value and
Eternal TRUTHS and promises and blessing and curses of ALL of God's WORD ;
which does include the OLD Testament. Far too many, especially in the church, turn away from the Old Testament -
"oh, its the law of Moses and it has been done away with", etc.
Most people cannot even articulate what the law of Moses is -
We do acknowledge and proclaim and profess that Jesus fulfilled the requirement of the
Eternal Sacrifice, to take away the sin of the world, to do for man, what man CANNOT do for himself.
And the defiance and self inflicted curses and calamities that Isaiah 9:10 speaks to, are very much the
harbingers that hang over us, today, that are the cause of our current troubles - nation and church.
We will rebuild - stronger than ever is but the vow so stated by the people in the days of Isaiah to which he spoke.
It is the same vow of they who built the great tower to heaven in the plains of Shinar
and called it Babel - that of confusion.
How is it that Isaiah (9) proclaims the wonderful news of the son to be given and then a few verses later,
identifies and speaks to the pride and ego of man and their trust in their own devices and self reliance.?
God had and did make many vows and covenants and promises from before the foundation of the world,
and they ALL shall be fulfilled.
As we approach 9/11, some of the parting words of Moses that he spake as those WORDS where given
him from God - revelation, spiritual authority, eternal and everlasting TRUTH, blessings and cursing -
How timely the last chapters (actually ALL of them) of Deuteronomy are:
“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live;
That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him; for he is thy life, and the length of thy days; that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.”
Deuteronomy 30
Do I need to quote the words of Ether about this land?
"If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence
among my people;
If my people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from
their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. “
II Chron. 7
CHOOSE LIFE !
Today is: September 10, 2020 – and what have you done?
His name is Jesus,
Yeshua
the Holy One of Israel
El Gibbor - the mighty Elohim
Aviyad - the Everlasting Father
Sar-Shalom - the Prince of Peace
Many seek to be THE ONE,
I choose to speak of BEING ONE IN CHRIST JESUS
