IIAW Volunteer Reminder May 8th and Window Progress
Hello, Initiative and Unity Center Friends,
Saturday, May 8th:
Meal Prep for Beloveds - 8am - 10am, Unity Center, 803 W. 23rd Street
Neighborhood Clean Up - 8am -10am, Paula Swayne, The Mansion House, 2121 S. Sterling Avenue.
Note: For those who want to help with Beloveds' Meal Prep, you will meet at the Unity Center
Those who want to help with yard work at Paula Swayne's place, please meet in her parking lot. Bring gloves, trimmers, rakes, brooms, shovels, clippers, loppers, weed whackers, and blowers. A truck and trailer would be helpful, too, for hauling brush to Living Hope Church for chipping.
Update on Unity Center Windows:
The windows on the top floor of the south wing are removed and ready to install the new windows. The window company has ordered all materials, a great blessing since many construction materials are in short supply and being backordered. Contact Andy Gross, if you can help with the removal of the first floor windows in the next several days. His number is 816-803-9149, axhd2@att.net
