5-18-22 ZionWorks News: Why Is This So Exciting?*
Hello Saints,
Our last meeting, last Sunday, was attended by a growing crowd. We also enjoyed a potluck. There was much visiting and meeting new people. In the meeting we engaged in prayer then presentations and reports were made concerning:
1. | National and International events and developments relating to the church's urgency to be prepared. |
2. | Member's proximity map |
3. | East African refugee storehouse and funding report. This is a successful effort providing food and survival needs for refugees. This effort by women of the church, is not related to ZionWorks, However it is a lively example of individuals seeing a need and actuating their determination to act and effect a bold solution without waiting for an official church program or "anyone else's" approval. |
4. | Practical report using real equipment on communications by ham radio. |
5. | Reminder that the items we have discussed demonstrated and begun to apply are on going and need continued application and development. |
Next meeting: This coming Sunday, May 22nd at the Atherton Congregation, 4910 N. Main St. Atherton at 2:00 p.m. There will not be a potluck. Our focus will be on individual and group development of means immediately necessary for survival independent of the socio-economic/political powers and frail infrastructure. (The real physical needs along with the vital need for co-operation and interdependence among those committed to the Kingdom.)
Our upcoming web site name will be announced Sunday and officially open then. There will still be pages under construction and work being done on it but you will get a feel for content and categories. The contents of the web pages will be continuously added. Nancy is asking that all handout material please be e-mailed to her so she can copy and paste them as well as articles, reports, brief summaries of things discussed etc. This will help immensely so she doesn't have to type endless pages of content which will also help keep the web site current and up to date. Her e-mail address is: WTrailboss@aol.com. If anyone is willing to type pages and e-mail them to be copied and pasted please let Jim or Nancy know. Thank you for your patience with the web site.
▪ | Because we find ourselves energized and spiritually quickened when we find ourselves engaged in work for Christ, and especially when we are among re-enforcing and encouraging coworkers. |
COOPERATION IN SKILLS & DUTIES
Each member has his or her obvious, or latent, gifts and expedient responsibilities. It is the individual's responsibility to pray earnestly and continually in the discovery, study, development and application of gifts and abilities. It is the duty of the people of the church to encourage and mentor others in the discovery and application of their gifts and responsibilities. A "cultural" lifestyle that energizes and activates all of the purpose and fulfillment waiting in a person's soul to be expressed and heartily lived out is the Kingdom lifestyle. That is not a rigid or standardized lifestyle. It is the giving and encouraging of Godly freedom to the life and soul to be expressed without human judgement.
Considering this as an idea to discuss: A cooperative farm, operated under Kingdom principles, independent of 'Babylon", as a means of year round survival and fulfillment of personal and group purpose. It would also function as an experiment or exercise for development of resourceful independent and interdependent living as well as a demonstration of Godly living. This can easily and quickly grow to include many functions, professions and industries outside of agriculture.
Eventually, we are promised, and hopefully soon, an entire culture referred to as the Kingdom on Earth will blossom. This will include people working in the entire scope of professions and responsibilities in the make-up of a thriving home, community and beyond including worship, government (on His shoulders) and infrastructure. God will find obedient and willing people. Let us be His people.
