AROUND AND ABOUT THE CENTRE PLACE

By High Priest Paul J. Gage, of Independence, Missouri

A New Year's Greeting to each and every one of the lovely Saints in Australia,

Another year has come and gone. and old man time keeps rolling on. So, we praise the Lord for that  which is past and trust Him for all that is to come. Of course, you recognized those words from the  short hymn called "Doxology," This God is the God we adore, Our faithful, un-changeable friend,  Whose love is as large as His power and knows not beginning nor end. Tis JESUS, the first and the  last, Whose Spirit will guide us safe home; We'll praise Him for all that is past and trust Him for all  that's to come. And all God's people said, ________________!

Doxology passed into English from Medieval Latin doxologia, which in turn comes from the Greek  term doxa, meaning "opinion" or "glory," and the suffix -logia, which refers to oral or written  expression. It's logical enough, therefore, that "doxology" has referred to an oral expression of  praise and glorification since it first appeared in English around 1645.

It is always somewhat fearful or anxious to enter a new year, while at the same time it is exciting  and presents to us challenge. Will we rise above our efforts of the past year or will, twelve months  from now find us still mired in the same old paths, or ruts. Some of you may receive a weekly  article I put out called, "Fasting, Praying, Studying, and Living for the Kingdom of God." A brother  in Michigan made a suggestion which I will follow. He said why not make it read, "Living IN the  Kingdom of God rather than FOR the Kingdom of God. So, what difference does it make? One little  word can make all the difference in our attitude and the world. The article now is entitled, “Living  in the Kingdom of God.”

Living "for" the Kingdom suggests perhaps that we are just sort of drifting along waiting for the  Kingdom to come and hoping we will be included. I wonder if that is what the Five Foolish Virgins,  in Matthew 25:1-12, were doing. Many times, when we are waiting for something it either never  happens or passes us by unnoticed. Jesus told the foolish ones, "Ye know me not."

Living "in" the Kingdom indicates that we are aware each day that we are in the Kingdom and thus  more likely to be in tune with the Holy Spirit as it guides us through each day. Just something to  think about as we embark upon 2022.

Things are going fairly well in the Centre Place. Four to seven branches are meeting together on the  first Sunday evening and third Wednesday evening of each month. This is an activity separate from  the activities of the Conference of Restoration Elders (CRE) and Pastors of Zion (POZ).

These branches continue to be supportive of the CRE and POZ. The services together have all been  very good.

Most, if not all, the branches in the Centre Place have been back in church with live services now for  about two years. However, as like the rest of the world, things may change in the USA this year. The  covid is still very present everywhere and they say there are more virus’ going around.

Center Place Restoration School is doing very well. Enrollment is up and it is pretty much "school as  usual" at least for now the missionary boards of the CRE are still functioning, but as you know,  international travel is hampered a lot by the virus and vaccination requirements.

As all parts of the world deal with and struggle with all the things going on in the world, let us as  followers of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, "Look for the beautiful, look for the true, sunshine and  shadow are all around you." and as we started this article,

We'll praise Him for all that is past, and TRUST HIM FOR ALL THAT'S TO COME

If you know of others in Australia that might want to receive items from the USA, send me their email  addresses.

God richly bless each of you in 2023

In Christ,

Paul J. Gage

RICHES FROM THE SCRIPTURES

By Elder Neil Kerswell, of Queensland, Australia

Vol 5 Chapter 22 ~ Little Gems

There is great promise unto the pure in heart of seeing God. We all should want to see God and there  are qualities needed in our lives to do so.

[Psalm 24:1] The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. [Psalm 24:2] For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. [Psalm 24:3] Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?

[Psalm 24:4] He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor  sworn deceitfully.

[Psalm 24:5] He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his  salvation.

[Mat 5:10] And blessed are all the pure in heart; for they shall see God.

Sometimes in life you may think to yourself I just don’t measure up to what’s required by God and you  would be right. However, you must also remember that there is no one you have ever known or will  know in this life that does measure up. All of us are told we are Transgressors/Sinners that fall short  of God’s Glory and are in need of constant Repentance, and Baptism of Water & Spirit to even get on  the Straight and Narrow Path and then once on this path we all must hold onto the word of God,  seeking to keep His commandments and Partake of the Lords Sacrament, partaking of the Bread and  Wine emblems in constant remembrance of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. If we are willing to do this  with an honest heart we can stay on the Path and partake of the fruit of the Tree of Life, which  ministry of Christ allows us the dwell in the presence of God. Therefore, never underestimate your  potential in Christ. Satan will always rise up people in and out of the church to cause you to doubt  your worth and standing in the Lord. Focus rather on scriptural Gems like the scripture from Romans  below.

[Romans 8:38] For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers,  nor things present, nor things to come,

[Romans 8:39] Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love  of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God loves you more than you can know, He gave his life for you and offers Gifts freely to assist you in your journey back to Him. You hold the key to choose to hold on with all your might enduring to the end and living with God or you can let go and wander off into strange paths which lead to pride and a great fall. It is my hope for all who have covenanted with God, to live eternally with God never to be separated. I am praying for you and hope you shall pray for me. We all need help often.

Revelations 22 V17

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is  athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Corinthians 6 V18-20

Flee fornication. Every sin that a man committeth is against the body of Christ, and he who  committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. What! know ye not that your body is the  temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye  are bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Acts 8 V14-22

Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John; Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost. (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them; only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Then laid they their hands on them and they received the Holy Ghost. And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given he offered them money, Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter; for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, If perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.

Psalm 15 The righteousness of Zion's children. (A Psalm of David.)  1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in the holy hill of  Zion?

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth  in his heart.

3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbor, nor  taketh up a reproach against his neighbor.

4 In whose eyes a vile person is condemned; but he honoreth them that fear the  Lord; sweareth not falsely to hurt any man, and changeth not.

5 He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.
