ZIONWORKS NEWS DECEMBER 16, 2022

GOD IS LOOKING FOR,
THE WORLD IS LOOKING FOR…

God is looking for--- the world is looking for BIG POSITIVE EFFORTS that demonstrate the truth and fruit of God’s directions to build Zion – as a place of safety and refuge – as an ensign to the world – as the most successful and functional civilization ever in history – created by and protected by celestial principles – TO DEMONSTRATE HIS GLORY AND PROMISES – timeless – existing and thriving above all conditions and all history as His visible and demonstrable Kingdom on the earth!

What is an ensign? Why did Christ use the term ensign when describing Zion? An ensign is a flag, usually military, erected and planted for all to see, identifying the nationality of its territory. There will be no mistaking the nationality of Zion when the world sees it. Jesus tells us in D&C section 38 that there will be no king or ruler when he returns to his people because he will be our ruler and there will be no laws but his laws there. Zion will brightly and unapologetically express the glory of God and will invite all who will give their hearts and souls to him to live there in full purpose. We can envision this in contrast to the present world decaying into ubiquitous Marxism and its deliberate determination to destroy God’s kingdom and replace it with destruction of souls, of freedom, of purpose and of happiness.

As individuals who have willingly given our souls to Christ and solemnized that personal allegiance by baptism, we (you and I) have been given the duty and commission to make Zion a reality. The establishment of Zion is the specific and peculiar calling of the restoration, its ultimate goal and purpose. Each of us have our talents (often waiting to be discovered, developed and deployed) and our Godly desires (often needing nurturing and unleashing aided by the loving environment of saints around us [so important!]). We’re all different. We must appreciate, uplift and love each other even though we may never understand each other and each person’s specific roles!

EXITING AND SIGNIFICANT ENCOUNTER

Last Sunday we had a remarkable encounter with real Zionic endeavors. The main presentation at Zionwork’s meeting was by Brother Kevin Romer who discussed his experiences and insights gained over the last twenty years as the bishop of The Remnant, a very large and successful Zionic movement with its origin in the restored gospel. The Remnant operates under the directions given in the scriptures and by direction of the Spirit in the storehouse principle and living independent of Babylon. Their obedience and accomplishments to date are remarkable and an example of what can be done when Christ’s instructions concerning Zion are taken seriously and applied responsibly. Among other accomplishments, they have their own community and continually work to help each other and to continue to grow in understanding, in obedience and in Zionic cooperation. Yet they do not presume to have achieved perfection or superiority. The meeting lasted from 2:00 until 5:00, then afterwards, people were still asking Bro. Romer questions. The first 70 minutes of the presentation and Q&A were recorded, which I have on DVD ---too bad we didn’t record the second half because it was as full of quality and energy as the first half. Everyone at the meeting wanted to hear more of Kevin’s scripture-derived wisdom for application to Zionic living, which we will arrange soon and send notice for. We expect that at this next encounter there will be many questions even deeper than at the first meeting. This promises to be very revealing and uniting.

Many people wrote comments about the meeting. I will quote from one from Stephen Henson: “We were blessed to be at the meeting Sunday. The presentation on total consecration and being submitted to God spiritually and temporally was very exciting and informative. We are living in the last days and we need to come out of Babylon and the ways of the world and live for the kingdom of God, Zion… I hope and pray that we all have the desire to bring about…Zion…”

WORK DAY

Last Saturday a handful of Zionworkers showed up with chainsaws, axes, wedges and mauls at one of our sisters’ houses to cut up, split and stack a large tree that had fallen in her yard and on her fence. The weather was cool, perfect for working outdoors and the pizza that Blessing supplied was also perfect! There will be more work days announced.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Because of holiday activities, travelling and schedules, there will not be a regular Zionworks meeting until January 8th. We will then get on with the agenda of living “off-grid”---unplugged from Babylon and plugged in to the Kingdom pattern. Meantime, the newsletter will appear each week and we can stay in touch. If you need anything, have questions or comments, please call 816-690-8464 or 816-694-2284 or email zionworkz@protonmail.com or yyeoman@protonmail.com

Remember to stock up while we can.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

“Does God see the factionalized condition among the saints as politics and tribalism? When will we see the first indicators of the true and indestructible Kingdom on the land---the welcome to come and consecrate safely, fully and heartily to the building of the actual city? Zion, the pure in heart. It cannot be brought into existence by a culture defined by factionalization, self-importance, popularity contests, mutual suspicion, politics, dominance hierarchy and rumors against each other. It can’t. It can’t start in a faction that presumes that God can and will only inform and commission the leaders among them on matters of endowment and Zion. It can only germinate and grow through the humble and loving application of celestial principles, while the earnest and those made innocent by Jesus blood can and will be working there. This indicator and movement will probably start among individuals committed to physically establishing Zion.” Sam L. Knight

SCRIPTURE OF THE WEEK

“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in my house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open unto you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” Malachi 3:10

God bless all of you. ‘Looking to fellowshipping soon. In the meantime, our prayers go out to each other and the welfare of all souls.

With Christ as our bond,
Jim Huseby
