Can YOU help Lunch Partners?
“Can you help feed the poor and needy?”
Our volunteers at Lunch Partners have been deeply affected by the plight
of so many in our special city. The need has not gone away. We are in
want of sufficient able staff, sixteen and older. We are so grateful for our
volunteer’s help and charity. Men and women, young and old, of all faiths
labor here together. If you can’t labor, or it’s not the right work for you,
would you tell your friends and neighbors about it? Or share from your pocket?

Assist. dining room supervisor 10:30-1:30
Food preparation 7:30-10:00
Cooks assist/sub 6:30-9:30 am
Server subs 11:15-1:30
Sorting donations/produce
General/deep cleaning
Dish room and assistant 11:30-1:30
Pots/pans washing 8-11:30
Pots/pans sub for 11:30-1:30
Drivers to pick up/deliver food donations
-will need van or covered truck available
Handyman to repair, paint, or service equip.
Music for dining (piano & mic avail.)
(Note-some jobs require a Food Handlers Permit
which can be obtained free from the city)
The Lunch Partners Meal, Pantry & Clothes Closet program,
serving Independence, is a totally volunteer nonprofit ministry.
Since 1991 we have served a free hot meal on site, delivered
meals to shut-ins, provided clothing/food pantry items, and
guided adults assigned community service. Sharing extra food
donations with Hope House, the Community Service League,
Center Place Restoration School and others, is done regularly.
