Nigeria Memorial Fund
Dear Saints, one of our dear Elders in Nigeria died on Sunday January 27 at the age of 88. His name is Ohaka Obioma, and he is the father-in-law of Dayo Samuel and the father of Favour Samuel who is married to Dayo. He was with Hensley Mbanaso in the 90’s, and later with his son Elder Prince Obioma in their village at Umuokoro branch. His funeral will be on April 18, officiated by the priesthood from Lagos.
Funerals in Nigeria are highly celebrated, as much as weddings in the US. Dignitaries from the village are invited, canopies and chairs are rented, generators and loud speakers also rented, and maybe a band. Of course lots of food is prepared. The Nigerian Saints will provide their own travel expense across Nigeria from Lagos and other parts to Abia state. However, they are appealing to the saints in the US to help with the other expenses.
If you are willing to contribute to Elder Ohaka’s memorial, please send your contributions to:

And write “Nigeria Memorial” on the memo line.
I will collect all the funds and sent them in one wire transfer to Dayo Samuel for the family. We are looking to raise $2500, and I need to send it by March 29. If you will contact me by text or email with the amount you are sending I will be able to keep current and I will keep you posted as to reaching the goal. Any excess funds will be returned, or used as you designate when I call you. Please have your phone number on your check.
Sincerely,
Bill Barrett on behalf of the Obioma family.
Thanks, Bill Barrett
