PLEASE HELP!!! Saints in dire need!!!
CYCLONE ANA BRINGS DISASTER AGAIN TO THE
SAINTS IN MOZAMBIQUE AND MALAWI
Having so recently finally recovered from the disaster of Cyclone Idai in 2019, Cyclone Ana has visited destruction upon the saints in Mozambique and Malawi once again. While we are blessed that no saints have perished in this most recent storm, the flooding and destruction is more widespread than in 2019. Saints in the four Restoration branches in Tete, Mozambique (Betsaida RB, Chingodzi RB, Chissomo RB and Matema RB), have suffered the complete destruction of 40 homes and major flood damage to another 52 homes. That’s 92 families that have lost all of their worldly possessions and 40 who have also lost their homes. The city of Mwanza, Malawi, on the border of Mozambique, also suffered terrible flood damage. We have had trouble contacting the saints in the two restoration branches in Mwanza, (the Mwanza RB and the Nsakambewa RB) but Bro. Kingsley is trying to reach there to assess the needs of those saints.
There is an urgent need for food, medicines, mosquito nets, bed mats, cooking utensils, buckets to haul fresh water from a distance, etc. The Disaster Relief Team for the US National Conference of Branches has been activated and some funds are being sent immediately from the General Conference’s Oblation Fund. But there is a critical need for additional funds so more significant relief can be provided to the suffering saints. Of course time is of the essence.
With your help previously thousands of saints have been rescued from the devastation of earthquake, cyclone and covid lockdown disasters that created critical life challenges to our brothers and sisters all over the world. We hope you will find it in your heart and can find it in your budget to help again! PLEASE, if you can, send your check or money order, to:
Conference of Restoration Branches
1100 W. Truman Road
Independence, MO 64050.
Payable to “JCRB” and note “Disaster Relief” in the memo portion of your check.
Thank you sincerely, on behalf of our brothers and sisters in southern Africa! Randy
