 FOLLOWING THE WAY IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD MAY 16, 2024

Greetings Dear Saints,

Jesus Is The Answer For The World Today
Above Him There's No Other Jesus Is The Way.

This message comes to us from John 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved.”

This message is also stated on a sign in my yard,

“Love is the answer, Jesus, is the WAY.”

A traveler once stopped to ask directions. He was told that if he continued in the same direction it was about 24, 850 miles, but if he turned around and followed directions it was only about 50 miles. Many of us, at times, may have gone many miles the wrong way before seeking help, but that isn’t needful if we obtain correct directions and follow them. That is our task in daily life while living in the Kingdom of God. His directions are always available, if we are willing to seek Him for directions and then follow his guidance. Jesus will never send us down the wrong way.

So why does it so often seem that we as individuals, family and church are going the wrong way? There are so many examples in each of our books of scripture that tell us why. Abram and Sarai didn’t wait on the Lord for a promised child, and we see most vividly, today, much of the consequence of their act. We have recorded in 4 Nephi 1:53 both the people of Nephi and the Lamanites had become exceedingly wicked. In Doctrine and Covenants 90:6-9 the leaders of the church, including Joseph Smith Jr, were chastised for not having their homes and families in order.

What about us? Read D&C 137:6 and 138:3 for two examples. Do the barriers and hindrances still exist? The answer in 2024 is also most vividly and easily seen in the turmoil and confusion among the Saints and in our individual homes and families.

Could it be that we keeping wanting God to tell us what to do, when, in fact, he has already told us many times? Trust and obey, for there’s no other way. DC 81:3 is very clear. Read it daily and comply with it for a week. Make your own list of what God has already told us to do as individuals and the Body of Christ.

If we sense in the smallest thing that we are going the wrong way, we must immediately takes whatever steps necessary to get back on the right path. Jesus is the only answer and the only WAY.
