 FOLLOWING THE WAY IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD MAY 9, 2024

To all the Saints around the world, GOD BLESS YOU

JESUS IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE, AND NO MAN COMETH TO THE FATHER, BUT BY ME. When the true followers of Jesus, in any age, know of the full power of Jesus, they follow the WAY, Jesus.

If we feel that we are living in the kingdom of God, then we must be true followers of THE WAY, JESUS. Not just in talk, but in action, in our daily living. We have been commissioned by the words of Jesus to seek first, to build up his kingdom and establish his righteousness. We cannot do that unless we are true followers of the WAY. We cannot be following THE WAY, if we are going some other way.

In II Nephi 11:48-56 48 And we talk of Christ; we rejoice in Christ; we preach of Christ; we prophesy of Christ; and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins. 49 Wherefore, we speak concerning the law, that our children may know the deadness of the law; 50 And they, by knowing the deadness of the law, may look forward unto that life which is in Christ and know for what end the law was given, 51 And after the law is fulfilled in Christ, that they need not harden their hearts against him when the law ought to be done away. 52 And now, behold, my people, ye are a stiff-necked people; wherefore, I have spoken plain unto you, that ye cannot misunderstand. 53 And the words which I have spoken shall stand as a testimony against you; for they are sufficient to teach any man the right way; 54 For the right way is to believe in Christ and deny him not; for by denying him, ye also deny the prophets and the law. 55 And now, behold, I say unto you that the right way is to believe in Christ and deny him not; and Christ is the Holy One of Israel; 56 Wherefore, ye must bow down before him and worship him with all your might, mind, and strength, and your whole soul; and if ye do this, ye shall in no wise be cast out.

It is very likely time for all of us to drop all the ifs, ands, buts, what ifs, who did or did not, who is, who isn’t and get back on the right way with Jesus. There is only one Church of Jesus Christ. It therefore is the One He said He would build, not some variation of man. His laws and commandments are very clear, but may become blinders for foolish virgins. Jesus came to earth to reconcile us to God. It has been mankind that has chosen to follow our own way. Whenever we disregard God’s direction, we are following the wrong way.

We continue to hear about and see the destructive results of many “natural disasters.” God has said He would use these forces to bring about a purified people. We cannot be those who are in Zion unless we are reconciled first to Jesus and then reconciled to all of our brothers and sisters of our families, the church and the world. Did Jesus really mean 7 times 70 to forgive? He never spoke idle words.

Last Sunday, May 5. We had another opportunity to come clean before the Lord Our God, to put aside all our human desires for what we want, and finally surrender all to Jesus and accomplish wants He wants. Is that the way you chose while living in the Kingdom of God? If not, are you/we truly living in such a spiritual condition that we feel that we are in the kingdom of God? We don’t have to and should not wait until a Sacrament service to seek reconciliation with anyone with whom we have a separation of Sainthood. Take action today as we are not guaranteed of a tomorrow.
