AUSTRALIAN RESTORATION NEWS

JULY, 2019
Around and About the Centre Place by High Priest Paul J. Gage, Independence, Missouri.
Greetings to all the Dear Saints in Australia. I trust the good Lord is continuing to bless each of you with a daily outpouring of His Divine Love. As we sing, "There's no love to me, like the Love of Jesus." I pray that also, out of that great love He is blessing you very abundantly, for Jesus states in John 10:10, "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." Summer is in full swing, with youth camps, reunions, the Pastors of Zion annual Sunday evening Preaching Series which runs from June 9-August 11 and many other activities. The Conference of Restoration Elders and Pastors of Zion have once again teamed up to sponsor the Restoration Branch Family Reunion and Conference of Restoration Elders which was held June 23-28, 2019 in Independence, Missouri at Waldo Avenue Restoration Branch/CPRS. The theme was "Be Ye Transformed.." from Romans 12:1-2. All the daily themes and teachers can be found in tidings of Zion issues 126 and 127. Being transformed is usually something we think should happen to someone else, but each day we should seek to be transformed to be more like our Lord, Jesus Christ. You may remember the popular toy, The Transformers" from a few years ago. You could do various things to the toy to transform it from one thing to another. Scriptures tell us we are to "be a new creature in Christ. That becomes our daily challenge, to have His Image in our countenances so others can see Him in us. The Sunday theme was: "Be ye transformed for our journey to Zion". Zion, to many, is like a mirage. Something you see, or think you see somewhere off in the distance, but you never can get to it. We could say that Zion has been a mirage to the Restoration since 1830, always beckoning, but off in the distance because of all the clouds we allow to keep it away. A mirage is an optical effect, a trick, if you will, that certain atmospheric conditions play on our eyes. Satan is good at producing mirages to distract us from God's purposes. May we shake off the coals from our garments and the cataracts off our eyes and wake up very soon to find ourselves in Zion and see it as it is, an Ensign to the world with Jesus the Center. Attending this year were: Eric and Pam Odida from Kenya, Juan and Tina Reyes from Mexico, and Ram Baral from Nepal, currently living in South Carolina. Saints came from12 states in the USA. The main services of the reunion were live streamed and can be watched on the Waldo website. http://www.waldoavenuerestorationbranch,org. The Tidings carries a list of branches that live stream their services. The missionary groups continue to function and there will be numerous trips made in the months ahead to Canada, England, Germany, India, Kenya, Nepal, the Philippines, possibly Russia and other places. The South East Asia and Australian Ministries (SEAAM) Board met during the reunion to discuss the outreach of SEAAM in the future. The make-up of the SEAAM Board has changed. Brother Paul Gage has resigned after eight years on the Board. Brother Kevin Humphrey and Tom Rindels were added to the Board. We are happy to provide ministry to the Saints in Australia, as we are called.

Riches From The Scriptures. by Elder Neil Kerswell, Queensland, Australia. Vol 4 Chapter 1 Bind up the Law and Seal up the Testimony I would like to share with you today what it means to Bind up the Law and Seal up the Testimony. Let us start with D&C 108: 13A-B. [Sec 108:13a] Behold, and lo, there are none to deliver you, for ye obeyed not my voice when I called to you out of the heavens, ye believed not my servants; and when they were sent unto you ye received them not; [Sec 108:13b] wherefore, they sealed up the testimony and bound up the law, and ye were delivered over unto darkness; these shall go away into outer darkness, where there is weeping, and wailing, and gnashing of teeth. Behold, the Lord your God hath spoken it. Amen. From this scripture we see that when God has reached unto us by the power of His Spirit and God’s servants have shared the truth of God with us, and if we receive it not and altogether reject God, we have had our opportunity in this probation period and because of our Hearts desire and actions, the Testimony is sealed up and the Law is bound up in our lives. We are then delivered over to darkness both in this world and in the world to come because we chose it. Something important to remember here is it is of paramount importance that those who share the truth are in harmony with the movement of Gods Spirit and have the gift of humility and love as they share, they must be in time and in step with God. I think you, like I, have all seen Priesthood men out of step over the years, trying to force instead of teaching. This isn’t what the scriptures are telling us. Let’s read another. D&C 85:22A-23B [Sec 85:22a] Behold, I sent you out to testify and warn the people, and it becometh every man who hath been warned, to warn his neighbour; therefore, they are left without excuse, and their sins are upon their own heads. [Sec 85:22b] He that seeketh me early shall find me, and shall not be forsaken. [Sec 85:23a] Therefore, tarry ye, and labor diligently, that you may be perfected in your ministry, to go forth among the Gentiles for the last time, as many as the mouth of the Lord shall name, to bind up the law, and seal up the testimony, and to prepare the Saints for the hour of judgment, which is to come; [Sec 85:23b] that their souls may escape the wrath of God, the desolation of abomination, which await the wicked, both in this world, and in the world to come. We see here that there is a great responsibility upon those that are warned to warn their neighbour, and just as great is the responsibility of the hearer to listen and respond. For there are consequences attached according to our response to God.
John 14:21 -24. John 14:21] He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me; and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. [John 14:22] Judas saith unto him, (not Iscariot,) Lord, how is it thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? [John 14:23] Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words; and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. [John 14:24] He that loveth me not, keepeth not my sayings; and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. God is looking for people, individuals who will love Him and keep His sayings. Isn’t that what we as parents hope for, loving and obedient children when they are growing up and eventually adults who can stand firm and hold on in faith believing. It’s really not much God is asking, considering the sacrifice and price He was willing to make for us to have a real opportunity. Jacob in the Book of Mormon puts it another way. Jacob 1:18-20 [Jacob 1:18] For I, Jacob, and my brother Joseph, had been consecrated priests, and teachers of this people by the hand of Nephi. [Jacob 1:19] And we did magnify our office unto the Lord, taking upon us the responsibility, answering the sins of the people upon our own heads, if we did not teach them the word of God with all diligence; [Jacob 1:20] Wherefore, by laboring with our mights, their blood might not come upon our garments; otherwise, their blood would come upon our garments, and we would not be found spotless at the last day. Jacob is talking about the same thing only he explains it differently by adding the responsibility Priesthood carry in the sharing of their ministry. Jacob and Joseph had been ordained to the priesthood and saw it as they would be responsible for the people’s sins if they didn’t teach them with everything they had. If they could manage to do this faithfully then the blood of the people would not come upon their garments, this is because the people will have been given all the tools they need to lay hold upon Eternal life through Christ, therefore they have the law and can be judged by it. Whereas if Jacob and Joseph didn’t take every opportunity to share when they could and people were left ignorant for no good reason. Jacob and Joseph would also bare some of the people’s sins. It would certainly keep you looking for opportunity to share. Ultimately we know it is Christ who takes away the sins of the world, however priesthood are Christ’s servants and are accountable in time and eternity for the discharge of their ministry. Questions Priesthood should ask themselves regularly 1. What does God want me to teach? 2. What level are the people at spiritually who I am about to teach? This determines where we start from and how far we go each time. Everybody is different and learn at different rates this all must be taken into consideration. Some people need to hear something five times before it takes root, but when it does it goes deeper than others. Just like at school some people learn in a class environment while others need one on one tuition to truly take it in. God has created us different and expects we as ministry will be sensitive to His creation and love them through it, as he has loved us with a life of sacrifice. I hope you the reader can see there is a lot more to Binding up the Law and Sealing up the testimony than what we might think. 1 Thessalonians 2:7-8 [1 Thessalonians 2:7] But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children; [1 Thessalonians 2:8] So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us. This is the attitude we must have when sharing Truth, we must be gentle, viewing all as our cherished children, having affection for people, not only sharing the Gospel, but also of ourselves because those whom we share with are dear to us. [Matthew 10:14] Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves; be ye therefore wise servants, and as harmless as doves. Our church holds the power to bind, in Earth and Heaven. Surely this is great, however unto those whom much is given much is required in attitude, preparation and action for our Lord. If we can have a balanced understanding and approach, and acquire the qualities demanded of both Priesthood and membership in true service of our Lord, then we shall surely be blessed. Those that altogether desire to reject God can do so and are accountable according to the Law and testimony. Those that hear God’s voice and respond have opened unto them the riches of heaven. John 10:27-30 [John 10:27] My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me; [John 10:28] And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. [John 10:29] My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. [John 10:30] I and my Father are one. My prayer is that all who read these words shall be persuaded to hear God’s voice as revealed in His scriptures and be known in heaven as His sheep.

A wonderful testimony by Joseph Smith and Sidney Rigdon recorded in the Doctrine and Covenants
76:3g. And, now, after the many testimonies which have been given of him, this is the testimony, last of all, which we give of him, that he lives; for we saw him, even on the right hand of God;
76:3h. and we heard the voice bearing record that he is the Only Begotten of the Father; that by him, and through him, and of him, the worlds are and were created; and the inhabitants thereof are begotten sons and daughters unto God.

  1. HELLO everyone Have you been going through a lot in your relationship lately as a result of sudden change in your spouse attitude towards you ? If "YES",the end has come to that problem that keeps you awake when you are suppose to be asleep. When people you know to be nice and caring suddenly begins to act in a cruel manner there is need to ask questions such as, what exactly is wrong with my spouse ? Is this problem spiritual ? These and many questions that would cross ones mind at some point. I was in that kind of a confused state at some point in my relationship that I felt the weight of the world was resting on my shoulder, I was abandoned by my hubby when our son was 3 weeks. He left us for no reason. Though I wasn't too sure of what exactly would make him leave us I felt it was something extra ordinary(spiritual) that must have taken place in his memory. I was asked to contact this address to get help,Great Matatan the spell as soon as I did all my problem was sorted out. I can categorically state here that the kind gesture of ( matatanspell@yahoo.com CALL/WHATS-APP:+233 20 926 0493 )has helped me restore my family.
