Give Back Hope - Malawi Youth Home

 

From: Tammy Tandy jptandy@earthlink.net Give Back Hope - Malawi Youth Home Dear Saints, Our sister, Penny Curtis, president of Give Back Hope International, has recently returned from a trip to the Restoration Youth Home in Malawi. What a blessing it was for her to be able to go and spend time with our wonderful staff and the children, and to be part of the daily operations, and take care of business in person. Thanks to the support of the saints, several upgrades were made which included new beds and mattresses as needed, new shoes for some children, uniforms for the guards, aprons for the kitchen staff, electricity to one of the smaller dwellings, solar lighting, and improved schooling for some of the children. One other very needed purchase was a vehicle. We have several children who are in need of a regular sponsor. They love knowing that someone is praying for them and receiving letters via email. Additional current needs include funds to send some of the children to boarding school, new clothes, and T-shirts for the group activities. We are also investigating purchasing our own property for the Youth Home, rather than renting. At this time, we are asking an interest in your prayers and, if the Lord leads you, to make a donation –either individual or congregational – on behalf of the children at the Youth Home. We are also hosting a program for sponsors (see attached flyer), and we invite anyone else to attend who is interested in the work in Malawi. The program will be at 6:30 PM, Sunday, December 4, at Gospel Park Restoration Branch. This is a free event, but reservations are required.
