LIVING IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD NOVEMBER 17, 2022
Thanksgiving greetings and blessings to God’s lovely Saints all around the earth,
As the THANKSGIVING time is upon us, 2022 continues to slip away. We are told to “Give thanks with a grateful heart.” It is said that a “grateful heart” is one that is preparing the way for the Lord. One person said the following prayer, “Dear Lord, I want to glorify you in all I do. I do not want to take your steadfast love and loving kindness for granted. I want to constantly offer sacrifices of thanksgiving and praise to you, in the ups and downs, in the good times and the bad. Please help me develop a consistently thankful and grateful heart. Please cause my heart to overflow with gratitude and thankfulness from morning till night. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
A great prayer for those living in the Kingdom of God. I Thessalonians 5:15-24 also is very good counsel for those living in the Kingdom, preparing for Zion and the Lord’s return.
I Thessalonians 5:15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man, but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves and to all men.
16 Rejoice evermore.
17 Pray without ceasing.
18 In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
19 Quench not the Spirit.
20 Despise not prophesyings.
21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit, and soul, and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
If you want a little Thanksgiving study assignment, find and write down at least two scriptures dealing with thanksgiving in the Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants and the hymnal.
God bless you,
Paul Gage
