Restoration Bookstore Needs Your Help
to Reprint the Inspired Version!

The Restoration Bookstore now faces an extraordinary opportunity, and a critical need. The extraordinary opportunity we face is that more people are now interested in the Inspired Version of the Bible than ever before. Not only are RLDS members ordering an increasing number of them, but so are the LDS, ex-LDS, and others—sometimes in very large quantities! In just the previous year, orders for this Scripture book have increased more than ten-fold!

The critical need we face is that our inventory of all the versions that we carry (Deluxe Leather, Hardback Leather, and Paperback) is now depleted, and will no longer be available until they are reprinted. When we notified you last winter that our supply of the Deluxe Leather version was then nearly depleted, you responded most generously, and we were able to commission the reprinting of that edition. (It is being printed now and will be available in early 2023.) But now we have run out of the Hardback Leather and Paperback versions too, so they must also be reprinted. Due to steeply rising costs, the additional funds now needed to reprint these two versions total approximately $115,000! Wisdom dictates that we not commission these orders until sufficient donations are received for the project.

Because we are a non-profit organization, the IRS requires that the preponderance of funds we receive come from donations instead of sales. While that rule keeps our prices low, it also makes us dependent on your donations for large printing projects, such as these. Donations for this project should be designated “For reprinting the Inspired Version.” Of course, any contributions made by individuals are tax-exempt, and a receipt will be provided.

In addition to the above challenges, another critical need we have is our Operating Fund, which pays for everything other than printing. It has now dipped to its lowest level in three years. In a few weeks, we will be required to pay $13,000 in county taxes from that fund, which will drain about half of its remaining balance.
