Help needed with IIAW Communications

Hello, IIAW and Unity Center Friends,

I am posting this request to recruit someone to help me with the IIAW Communications Secretary work. I envision a Communications Team developing for the IIAW. I am very hopeful there is a sister, brother, or couple ready to step into this amazing work. I am on hand to advise and guide as long as necessary.

All of us on the Leadership Team are preparing the next group of leaders to ensure continuation of the Lord's vision of the Unity Center. We also want to make our service simple to understand, easy to step into, and replicate. This vision is not ours, but the Lords. What He started, He will fully sustain and bring forward.

The Communications Secretary is a strong positive influence on our community. It is a way one person, (or a team), may interact effectively with the mayor, city council, businesses, police department, church and ministry groups, and businesses, to serve the needs of citizens, individually and collectively on a daily basis. Dennis Cato, founder of the IIAW, says the Communications Secretary is the heart and soul of the IIAW. It helps the IIAW function successfully. It is one of the most influential positions in the faith community and the city as a whole at the moment. The Communications Secretary is a source of acknowledgement, encouragement, praise, and support of all good things happening in our town. It is a quiet unassuming, yet powerful work of connecting and networking together.

Because of consistent, timely email communications over the past 4+ years, we are seeing a great breakthrough in many ways inside and outside the IIAW. Over the past 18 months, God has brought a wonderful response, especially from Restoration women to become more active in community service and assist with meals and the JESUS STORE. This is long awaited and very encouraging! Marilyn Sinclair, Pam Maybee, and Pat Chadwick, women's leaders of strong influence in the Restoration, have helped with meal prep lately, and caught the vision of the UCI. They are excited and are encouraging other women and their churches to come on board to help with the Unity Center. There are at least three Restoration pastors who are focusing attention on community service. What Saralee Rhoads and Aaron Brown are doing now with EXTENDED HANDS COLLABORATE is wonderful. The Community Services League now has a program to pay people to pick up litter. Mayor Rowland's Trash Pick Up Team is out every second Saturday doing their thing and the IIAW supports that great effort. Very heartening!

The Hispanic church who worships at the Unity Center is doing the rehab work on the UC worship room and comes to help with meal prep. Daniel Fox is a Godsend, being on hand to service the Beloveds through the Unity Center, filling the gap until we have staff and regular admin operating hours.

The IIAW is gearing up for the Lord's next phase of development through the Unity Center. We sense we are on the verge of major positive changes. If you want to be a part of those changes, contact me at mur620@gmail.com
