COLLATERAL EFFECTS AND SOME THINGS TO CONSIDER
In Zion and in the processes of making the kingdom on earth a reality, we know that God’s word and will cannot be compromised. It’s a comfort to know that that safe and loving environment is a reality awaiting our commitment. Consider this endeavor like a marriage. The scriptures refer to this as a marriage—the “church” (hopefully you and I among the rest of Christ’s faithful) as Jesus’ bride. You are familiar with the 80-80 or 100-100 concept. Wise counsel instructs us that we don’t enter a marriage for what we can get out of it, but that we should expect to give more than our 50%, we should give 100%. A marriage is a lot of work and none of us knew what blessings and trials to expect when we promised to “love and to cherish”, “in sickness or in health” and “til death do us part”, but we promised. AND, we learned as the years went by and never stop learning, much or most of it the hard way.
Our first parents had to learn faith, dedication, obedience, discernment, intelligent responsibility, true love and endurance the hard way. Adam had to live by the sweat of his brow, to say the least—providing for a family and carrying the responsibility to set precedent for all generations to come. Eve was told she would experience the pains and burdens of childbirth—there are several volumes that can be said about that short statement. They both were probably instructed with what would take tomes to record. And a full account of their experiences and acquired wisdom would take tomes more. It wasn’t a fairytale marriage…the horror of a son murdering his brother; wind, weather, vicious and deceptive reptiles; the deep care for their children and grandchildren for a long lifetime and probably til now and beyond. Yet, love triumphed, both the innocent love at the initial promise to love and to cherish and the hard-earned, high scale, multi-dimensional love that developed over a life time.
We claim to be destined for the ultimate marriage. Maybe we shouldn’t think that the bridegroom will whisk us away yet to eternal bliss just for belonging to the “right church” or for being super faithful. Preparing for the kingdom on the earth and making a place of safety and refuge for the beleaguered innocents of the world, and learning to get along with each other on earth as it is in heaven is not an easy task. It’s a tough task, applied through tough times, great coming trials, tribulations and heartbreak. The promise is that love will triumph, innocent love and hard-earned love, eternal love. And then we can justifiably claim the uncompromised joys of heaven on earth.
So, to explain collateral effects—by God’s miraculous grace and by his instruction, the efforts of this growing group, Zionworks, to establish the means to survive and thrive through tribulation has been accompanied by outpourings of the spirit, blessings and even healings. We went into this with a 100% attitude (it’s not a part-time attitude) and though we didn’t ask for these blessings, we received them. God needs faithful and dedicated individuals for this task. Each of His children have their gifts, talents and needs.
